I dont think Venom is really an example of pure evil, more like pure jealousy if you're going off of the source material. The symbiote spent a total of a few months with Peter and loved being spider-man so much it decided that consent was just a suggestion and used his body. Even then when venom appears he only really hates peter and tries to be "better than him"

Not even close to being the best Marvel villain! Dr Doom or Kingpin or Magneto are the best
