Always love seeing your videos pop up in my feed. Not only am I always floored by your skill, it makes me appreciate all the depth and possibilities in playstyles within these games. I was inspired to continue my grindless S rank run in Z1 because of you the other day, it’s going much better than my first attempt! :)
Thank you very much; I really appreciate the kind words! I'm glad to hear that your Z1 run is going well. Best of luck as you push forward; I'm sure you can do it!
I use a dedicated button to dash rather than double tapping. In fact, if the game I'm playing has an option to disable the command dash, I make sure to turn it off. I find that it only gets in the way when I try to make small movements.
@@DZ-Three I see. Yeah most players do not like that feature of double tap dash. It can be used accidentally. They kept it in almost all MegaMan games like X, Zero and even Bass.
@@leongyuhinleong Yeah, in Zero/ZX, only Z4, ZX, and ZXA have the option to disable the command dash. Bafflingly, GV1 doesn't have the option; it's only with GV2 onwards that you can disable it. Dunno what Inti was thinking there.
@@DZ-Three Yeah... it's kind of awkward gameplay at that. Even you can do an accidental air-dash by double-tap dashing. Classic MegaMan didn't have that feature and only just the Slide which is Jump and pressing the down button.
Yup. It's a great design decision on Inti's part since Locomo's core is a fairly small target that's exposed for a very limited amount of time. Its large attack hitboxes and the Gabyoalls don't help either, so it's nice that it's possible to win in a single cycle and avoid all that trouble.
Yup! Z3 Zero's arsenal proves its potency here quite definitively. If you want to give it a try yourself, I recommend the Gale Attack variant; in my experience, it's the easiest to become adept at.

orbital shield is such a beautiful skill
Indeed. Inti giving it a combo value of 0 was one of the best decisions they made when building Z3's combo system.
Nice combo video! Also I want ask you something, do you like using the double tap dash feature or the assigned dash button instead?

Most people don’t realize that Locomo IF only has half the health of a typical stage boss, which is significantly lower compared to other mini bosses.

Wow, I had no idea it could be killed that fast!
