Early Reflections of Ping: A Musical Portrait

William Goldstein met Ping the winter of 2023. Ping shared her memoir Bend Not Break,
He was truly moved and inspired by this journey of resilience, courage and resourcefulness. Growing up during the cultural Revolution in Mao's China, coming to America and rising to the top of the tech world.
Finding himself very moved by Ping's memoir Bend Not Break, he invited Ping to come to his home. In her presence he sat down at the piano and the result is Early Reflections of Ping. This piece was created March 29th, 2023 about 9:20 PM.
Unbeknownst to William (with a sweater label sticking out clearly not aware of the video being made), Ping filmed this creation on her iPhone. This video is the result of that raw footage combined with the finished audio recording.
