I'm not a poet, but I have been in a band with one. He used to bristle when people said "spoken word poetry" as the oral tradition likely predates the written word and should simply be referred to as poetry. Unfortunately for him at our shows he was almost always introduced as a "spoken word poet". What are your thoughts on this? Great reaction btw. Welcome back and congratulations.
That is so true! Poetry predates writing and was the method of many cultures to recall history and pass it down. So spoken word should really just be “poetry” and the writing should be referred to “written poetry”
@@YoungbloodPoetry yeah, that's pretty much it. He's an older guy who has been writing poetry since he was 6 years old and predates the popular notion of "spoken word" as a descriptor for live poetry. He's a smart guy and one hell of a writer.
Best reaction of this song so far. Erudite and fact based. A nusring student with a science bent, combined with poetic sensibilities is not necessarily a mutually exclusively endeavour. Well done mate.
Ren released Troubles for Millions MISSING month in may to bring attention to the people with chronic autoimmunity conditions hidden in bedrooms all over the world often misdiagnosed or not believed Thank you for your informative empathetic reaction Love this 🔥track and the new acoustic version
congratulations on becoming a nursing student, your empathy radiates from you 🥰 you were the first ren reaction i watched quite a few months ago, i love your perspective
Please checkout the documentary "Unrest." It concerns all of the illnesses Ren listed in his comments. The person who produced it is one of those suffering like Ren did, and she asked him to write a song that she used in it. I appreciate your reactions to Ren's works. Thank you
Congratulations on getting into nursing school 👍. As for more Ren suggestions, I've been wanting you to react to Ren's song "Penitence" since you 1st discovered Ren. This song Ren wrote and produced blows my mind. He's written and plays a beautiful piano ballad while a ft. artist "Molly Mckinna" sings a haunting chorus then Ren breaks out into Spoken Word, not song or Rap but Spoken word which moves into some Rap then back into poetry🤯. I have never heard a song structured in this way until I listened to 'Penitence" Hands down in my top ten list of favorite Ren songs.❤✌️
In Canada many people who got lime disease were miss diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis and treated for that witched caused a whole lot of different issues i was bit by a tic and did not squeeze it when taking it out so it did not regurgitate when taking it out lucky i did not contact anything but a great friend of mine had got lime disease and was treated for MS for years it was hard to see someone so healthy become barely able to walk
Great reaction , love your educated and empathetic take on this , the acoustic version is even more touching as it a raw performance just Ren and guitar in the back of a car. Ren has a vast catalogue, of his days of illness -Sick Boi - chalk outlines- Diazepam. Anything Ren writes is intelligent , thoughtful and thought provoking. You can literally start anywhere ( even in his earliest work) and find great music
This is one of the most worthwhile reactions and discussions I've seen about this track. Congratulations! Please maintain balance as you persevere through your school experience because we desperately need empathetic compassionate humans such as yourself. Pentinence is a great track for you to analyze and few people even cover it.
Really great reaction. I suffer with severe chronic pain and it’s not fun. I think you will make a great nurse. You show empathy and compassion which people like me need.
look what Ren has fostered with his music. You're giving us biology information, medical insights as wellness your musical response. What other artist generates education, introspection, empathy and a sense of hope?
Nice to see you again and great reaction.😎 For a more poetic song, Penitence is a great one. Its art. For a vibe and different side of Ren, Back on 74/Message in a bottle Retake is 🔥🔥. Great live performance. For some great science bars and wordplay Halftime Nas Retake is 🔥.
As a poet seeking advice, where is the best place for me or other fellow poets to contact you if you're ok with it? Also, I'm still waiting for you to watch "Heaven or Whatever" by Shane Koyczan
I know you've reacted to Chalk Outlines - Ren x Chinchilla (loved it!). When you get time, this is worth "reacting" to: ruclips.net/video/SDR7sup3DsU/видео.htmlsi=UQixLRrz3maaC8Bn Ren x Chinchilla - How to be me
I wanted to say that your description of stem cells was perfect especially for people outside the health care field. But you are incorrect in saying that the conditions mentioned are rare. The numbers high even when many victims being misdiagnosed for years. The funding for research isn’t there because the projected profit margin is low. Pharmaceutical companies, make far more money, treating the symptoms of these diseases than they ever could get back by developing a cure.

You might find Ren's chapters helpful in understanding what happened to him. It wasn't just Lyme disease, it was years of misdiagnoses.

REN is such a rich vein to explore. He dropped an acoustic version of Troubles a few days back. Would love your reaction to that!
You did a really nice job reacting to REN’s latest track Troubles. It’s good to see you back again. ❤
Congrats on progressing in your education pursuits!

Keep up this level of compassion, and you'll make an AMAZING & NEEDED nurse!! #hope
