    Sig 226 Legion owner here. You really don't know until you shoot it. The upgrades on it over a standard 226 make this one special. This pistol really exemplifies how special some Sigs can be. what a pleasure to shoot.

    Fun fact. Mec-gar 18 round mags with the SIG 20 rnd base plate will maximize cap to 22+1. Happy accident I found when I put on armory craft base plate on 2 SIG 20 rnd mags and then switched my SIG 20rnd base plate to mec-gar 18 round mags.

    Just bought a Sig P938 Legion for my wife, it really is an amazing little 9mm. Beautiful fit and finish and for my wife it fit her hand perfectly. We got a good deal brand new, paid $725. For the price point of the Legion series you get a lot for your money. Upgraded triggers, xray day/night sights, g10 grips, enhanced action and the cool factor for some. My wife loves it so I cannot complain that she has found her perfect conceal carry gun.

    Mine is in 357 sig, it is even more accurate than the 9 mm. I consistently hit 6” plates at 50 yds. 10 yards 50 rounds on target can be covered with a quarter. The legion 226 is far better than the original 226 or the mk25 I can shoot the test drill in 6 seconds and shoot it clean with full power gold dots. It doesn’t get any better than the 226 legion. I got one, love it... comes with that excellent SRT, great sights, slick action with that finish... I have a 226 MK25 also that I sent to Sig for the SRT and every polish and trigger and spring work they could do and it too is remarkable, so much so that it is actually smoother than the Legion. I love my Legion out of the box but even Sig says it can be bettered by sending it in for trigger tuning and some other work. Would have been nice if the Legion simply came with everything already done but maybe not everyone wants that light of a trigger with a short and crisp reset. Mec-Gar makes some beautiful flush fitting 18 round mags for the 226 so you can have 18 + 1 in your holster.. Mec-Gar of course made the original Sig mags and you should always make sure you have Mec-Gars and not some of the newer Checkmates that may be made in the US as they are just not as reliable.

    The only complaint I have with my P226 elite version of this gun is minor. But the weight is just a little heavy loaded at 50 oz, so it's not intended for EDC in my opinion. But as a range gun it is beyond belief how great it is. Between the SRT and the accessory rail with a Streamlight 800 lumen it is the perfect home defense gun for things that go bump in the night. I prefer to carry my P938 SAS for EDC, Loaded with 147 GR hollow-points.

    PLEAE READ FOR SAFETY!!!!! I heard from a reliable source that only certified gun smiths should adjust the trigger .. a quarter turn too far can cause the hammer to drop unexpectedly.. read sig legion forum threads for more info. And be careful .. I haven’t touched mine .. trigger is good enough as is. Just leave it.

    I came pretty close to getting a 226 legion but I read the PVD finish was sometimes a bit inconsistent and wears off easily. I ended up getting a Mk25 and I put in the SRT trigger in it. Ended up costing a bit less, still got 3 mags with it and its going to be more durable

      Considering this impasse. Tough choice for me! But no doubt, the mk25 seems indestructible.

    My 226 Came with 3mags the G10 grips and the same trigger that the legion comes with.
    It's only minus the rail.
    I really didn't see spending an extra 3 to $500 for just the rail would make a big difference

    As of Jan 2019 it no longer has PVD coating, but Cerakote

    • @ivanvega2821
      @ivanvega2821 5 лет назад

      What is the reason for going to cerakote? Also, if you want to get your legion cerakote by Sig. How much would it be?

    • @wmitchell51
      @wmitchell51 5 лет назад

      @@ivanvega2821 there was a problem with the PVD coating coming off so Sig went to cerakote for better protection against wear.

    If you like the 226 Legion, you should look into and test its cheaper polymer little brother. The Sig Sauer SP2022. 9MM glory on a polymer frame that comes in around 500$-600$. I couldn't afford the 226, but the SP2022 comes close considering what it is.

    Definitely an extremely well engineered pistol. SIG Sauer classic pistols are classy.....

    In thought it just had a rail, but it apparently comes with a rail “system”. WOW!

    I've wanted one of these for a few years. I ended up with a Emperor scorpion 1911, and it is awesome, but next is this.

    Correct me if I'm wrong , but does not the extractor on the Legion P226 depart from the design of the original P226 extractor ?
    Compare the LHS view of the Mk 25 Navy P226 with the Legion.
    The Legion extractor resembles the 1911 extractor design.

    I have the now-discontinued p226 enhanced elite which is pretty similar and I can say that the short reset trigger is awesome!

    Eric, love your vids but got a question... why do you wait until you find your sight picture to reset the trigger? Just curious. Keep up the awesome videos!

    trigger on my legion has one adjustment point. Id say that isnt fully adjustable. just ordered one from grey guns with 2 points.
