Seeing Hefner here as the stylish jet-setter in his prime is quite a contrast from what the man was actually like for a good part of his life--a recluse who rarely left his mansion, and who feared being alone (hence the need for a harem).
There was some tittering in the background. But just because someone makes a reference doesn't mean it's funny. I understood it, but didn't think it was a funny enough to laugh audibly laugh at.
@@SmithMrCorona We got a Charlie Dynamite over here. The joke was quite clever and I understood it too despite not making me audibly laugh either, yet you shouldn't have to audibly laugh for a clever joke to be funny. Actual drooler-level comment.
He is very intelligent. There is a video here on RUclips from the Hoover Institute where he debated William F Buckley Jr on sexuality. He went toe-to-toe with Buckley.
i have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Art Carney or Jackie Gleason? How about any Honeymooners actors that were a part of the main cast?
Hard to believe how smooth and clever heff Is. At least his son can never be so great. Nice to know children of great men never come close to anything other than being typical spoiled snobs.
Grace Slick was 30-31 here, in her prime and dang! I'm in love 😍😘 Smart, elegant and foxy.
"Smart, elegant and foxy."
gross.

His family, friends, and cool people came to his mansion regularly.

Hef lived his best life. ❤ 🐰 👨🏻💼
@@TritonicTriggs At the expense of many others.
@@ecommercefsc8491Cool People?
Grace is acting like she just left a crime scene
Hef reminds me of a calmer, chilled version of Quentin Tarantino...
brilliant !
right on.
Both Aries.
I'm surprised such a smart crowd didn't catch the Dorian Gray reference.
Why do you think they're smart?

He couldn’t imagine Hef and 70 with bunnies??? He died at 91 with his bunnies by his side. So cool they talk about the future and we know it.

Omg the woman they zoomed in on was gorgeous... Wow
Hefs a stud!
No.
He's a stiff.
The Dick Cavett Show Channel should really show the original air date on each video you put on RUclips.
what do you mean? it says that in description
lol
in Italian there's no difference between 'girlfriend' and 'fiance'', meaning they're both translated the same way
@Richards Kimberly in Italy you mean? I personally have a penchant for French, Spanish and Russian specimen

Si; fidanzata… e la stessa per ‘girlfriend’ & ‘fiancée’

he was intelligent and a visionary, but he always had the need to impress others for some reason.

Aging is spelled AGING ..
Actually, both spellings are acceptable!!!
Only in America. In English as spoken in the rest of the world, it’s ageing.
