  • At last! After lacking a good Torosaurus for a long time, and losing hope with each offering of a new Triceratops, PNSO has delivered with a Torosaurus to have and to hold!
And what a Torosaurus. In terms of anatomical detail, sculpting, a mean frill pattern, and texturing that is improved even from the recent Triceratops Doyle, this is PNSO at its best, offering continual improvement even when most unexpected!
This Torosaurus captures all the detail that makes Torosaurus, Torosaurus. Unambiguously so, from the frill to the lack of a midline epiparietal, which means you can proudly display it as a well-defined, specimen of an entirely distinct genus from Triceratops.
We now have a new chasmosaurine to add to the Triceratops, and this bodes very well for the selection from PNSO indeed. Just a Chasmosaurus more, and I will consider myself satisfied for now.
The Triceratops is Torosaurus is an old controversy that still rears its ugly head from time to time, and with this offering, PNSO has taken a stand, even including a baby Torosaurus in what must seem like a slap to that theory. Still, the whole story is fascinating, and you should check out the articles below for some racy reading.

Your reviews are without a doubt the most informative, knowledgeable and interesting ones out there. I always learn so much new stuff and I have to watch out that your enthusiasm and eagerness in your speech don’t lead me right into buying one for myself haha. I’ve decided to reduce my collecting to vintage toys and sauropods a while back (bc of the costs and shelf space) but the way you talk about all their latest ceratopsian releases really give me a hard time sticking to sauropods only. And they look great as well of course. Never stop what you‘re doing!

One of your best reviews yet. And that is saying a lot. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into these. Such a valuable resource for us collectors. Unfortunately in this case, your information was so good that it changed my mind on my initial decision not to buy this. So my wallet will again be lighter as a result.

This piece looks absolutely excellent. I love the inclusion of a baby, it really sells the idea that Torosaurus is not Triceratops. This might be wishful thinking, but I would personally like a figure of T. prorsus in the future.

Thank you once again for another wonderful review. I really appreciate how you broke down the Longrich/Field and Maiorino papers - I've always wondered if Torosaurus was indeed a Triceratops after all, but I think this breakdown has answered that question conclusively.

So glad you’ve recovered. It did give me a chance to backtrack and watch the dragon reviews, though.

You can't beat that frill! I always position my ceratopsian specimens at a forward facing angle.

I ordered this the moment it became available. This will be the second torosaurus I’ve ever owned in my 28 years, and whilst triceratops is my favourite dino of all time… I’m even more excited for this then I was for the two Doyles.

I think you should include an unboxing part at the beginning. Many of us would be interested how PNSO managed to do it.

Would be cool to see PNSO making Theropods with their small chicks too! Like really young theropod babies lol.

a figure without a doubt very good in the detail and the painting as well as the scales although the detail of the color ruff does not blend very well with the orange color a greeting mate good review 😎👍

He's back! Sorry that you caught covid, hope you're doing better now. And a great review of a great model, yet again. I've wanted a Torosaurus for some time now. I'm waiting for a sale to grab this guy and the Stegosaurus, hopefully. Now for that Acrocanthosaurus and Sinraptor, which I pray are both in the Prehistoric Animals line. I was initially confident that they would be, since the Dinosaur Museum line tended to be reserved for either the most famous dinosaurs worldwide, or famous dinosaurs from China, but with this Torosaurus being released in the latter line, I'm a bit scared.

I'll definitely be getting this one - shame about the lack of cheeks though, for a personal preference.
