The culture of Naga people are same as Wa ethnic minority in Yunan, China and Myanmar. They migrated from southern China thousands of years ago.

@@notcoolofficial more of begging for independence. British military and logistics capabilities were badly crippled during WW2 by Germans & Japanese. Also with Soviet block rising to power, British was forced to let go and allowed the people to vote whether to stay as colony or break away. The Burmese & Chinese in north east votes won't make any difference therefore their lands were given to Ghandi. The Mughals refused to join Ghandi therefore they get their own territories named East Pakistan & West Pakistan.

@@yangthoiba9278 Chinese citizens can't visit Arunachal. Arunachal is a disputed territory between India and China just like Kashmir. I'm from arunachal and even we can't visit china with "Indian passport" as China consider arunachal "south Tibet" as part of China.Hence we are logically citizens of China as well 😂. But I really hope one day we can visit China the land of our ancestors ❤️

Very samilar with Wa tribe...your Government in the 60s n 70s help the Naga People in financial aid arms n training but sadly we r so divided now by the policy of divide n rule of the Indian Government,glad n love atleast u cme n experienced our culture n tradition 😊
I love your positive vibes, it resonates with most of the Nagas. You feel like you are in Yunnan province of mainland China ! , It couldn't make more sense since our ancestors(most of the tribes) migrated from Yunnan province itself as per our oral tradition and now backed by researchers (anthropologists). Do visit again sister.

👍😊 tbh those dusty roads depicts the quantum of political corruptions in my Naga society.. lol, but worry not, it will be different by next year. Indian government has already sanction a huge amount for the construction of four lane road from Kohima-Imphal(to be completed by March-2021). It's gonna be a huge tourist attraction once the govt. complete the work. Hoping for the best.

we the Nagas especially 5 to 6 tribes are from Mongolian race, the rest from thailand, phillipines, burmese etc.. Its a combination of different country living together during BC... Thank you for visiting Nagaland and please do visit again

Nagaland was an independent region but was occupied by Indian military in the 50s. Since then, it has been administered by Delhi.
Nagas have been struggling to restore their independence for more than 60 years. Hopefully this Indo-Naga issue will be resolved soon.

Indian Military killed thousands and thousand of Nagas in cold blood since 1950s and it was the Chinese under Mao Zedong and even today under Xijingping who help the Nagas fight the Indian Aggressors in so may ways... Chinese helped the Nagas in so many ways be it arms or moral support during the peak of Indi-Naga war.

@@MasterJin Yes,that's the only Chinatown otherwise you can find some Chinese people in Mazagaon Mumbai. Most of the Chinese people are Hakka. Most of them living in Kolkata went to USA, Canada and Australia. Also, there were many Chinese people living in India before 1962. After 1962 situation at that time became very difficult for them but later on situation improved and many opened restaurants and they are actually doing good in the Restaurant business. Also, have you visited the Chinese Kali Temple in Kolkata.

You know many Indians would make fun of Chinese calling them dogs and cat eater, I suppose these Indian people do not consider Naga people as Indians...Love you too Naga people.... being honest is the first sign of real people, not hypocrites or superficial people.....White people, being hunters and gatherers who lived with dogs in the past, just cannot accept the fact that some people eat dogs because they treat dogs as any other animals. Our ancestors observed people getting effected by parasites and dying from eating such animals. not only dogs and cats but also cows, eagles and vulture. Cow is considered holy in India but in our tribe cow is considered as unholy but dimasa still eat beef but beef from buffaloes and ox not cow. our ancestors also observed getting sick and getting infested with parasites after eating cow meat.

Nagas is not an ethnicity. It is more like a community. If we are talking about ethnicity then that means the nagas are cluster of different ethnic groups.

@@MasterJin Yes, I guess. All of the naga tribes speaks different dialects which are all a part of the Sino-Tibetan language. Since they have different dialects, to unify, they developed a language called Nagamese which is another form of an Assamese. 👍👍.

Not all Nagas eat dog meat, the cat meat is very rare. I think this needs to be stopped!
Im not a supporter for eating cats/dogs, neither against it. Eating meat is how our ancestors survived and thus having us human beings till nowadays :)
