Wow, amazing! We have a Flemish style harpsichord made by this maker. I've never been able to find any information about him, do you know anything? (I'm pretty sure it's a "him"?) This is the only other instrument by him that I've seen. Nice playing too, BTW.
Oh neat! Is yours green, by chance? I made a Facebook post regarding Sender/Sandy Fontwit. The few answers I got all mentioned he’s now, or was, in New Zealand. He made only Flemish harpsichords I believe.
@@fluffkitten4339 Very interesting. I'd love to find out more about him, and/or any other instruments he's made. He's not listed in any the several well-known books of harpsichord makers. And yes, our harpsichord is green. In fact, it's the one seen here: ruclips.net/video/bvljG5NAz_A/видео.html The construction techniques seem relatively primitive -- which in some sense perhaps makes it more authentic as a Flemish/Ruckers style instrument. But the tone is really nice, as I notice yours is too.
@@fluffkitten4339 Yes, we bought it in Seattle from Henry of the Harpsichord Shop. Now it's in San Diego. Apparently it was built in San Francisco, so it's been bouncing all around the West Coast! If it's the same church where we bought it, I've heard some lovely Baroque music performed there, on several occasions.
@@satanbane I actually would eventually like to see another one of Sandy’s harpsichords. This muselar has so much character. Makes me wonder if I even need another harpsichord!
wow that thing sounds excellent

@@satanbane ah yes. That one used to live at a church near here.
