  • Been a big Joe Jackson fan throughout his entire career and you can always count on him to put on an excellent show. Seen him over a dozen times live and EVERY time was a completely different experience as he has constantly mixed up his; band line-ups (which are always top notch players), song arrangements, instrumentation and/or focusing on a different music genre just for kicks apparently. This night was no exception with Joe playing solo for the first half of the show reworking his catalog of songs for just piano and voice. Whereas the second half of the evening Joe was joined by a band inspired/stylized from the days of yore with the; tawdry, saucy, tongue in cheek, alcohol fueled, singalong humor of Cockney Music Hall working class ditties of pre World War London of the 1910s. An era that fit Joe’s delivery and arrangement skills like a glove.

Speaking of actresses, the string section added so much to the show.

It felt like a recent add to the show as the other musician's looked over like they were seeing it as a new thing as well

@@FeenTubeplus Joe Jackson seems a lot happier or his happiest so far in the tour at the SF show. This was such a risky thing to do but worth it. So what if some ppl stayed away. He should always choose the road less traveled. It's so much fun for the fans as well. We KNOW all his hits already.
