Sorry that I barely check my RUclips notifications. About one month into ownership, I noticed a rattle that continually got worse (at idle mainly.) It turned out to be a bearing in the torque tube, which when GM repairs, the replace the whole thing. I went through with it, and it was about 4500 dollars. I only have a powertrain warranty, and this technically doesn’t fall into that, so I had to pay up. Other than that, the car has been running fine and fast. It gets looks everywhere I go, and I’m glad I picked this over a mustang. I would recommend to anyone buying to go with maximum coverage from any third party warranties. It is still the best bargain sports car. I have heard that the 2019 C7s hold up the best though, just keep that in mind. I should mention my car is a 1lt but I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much. Any other questions? I’d love to answer.
I bought my ZL1 and had it built by CSP. FBO, CSP cam, NW TB, Big Gulp. Magnuson, fuel pump, and new clutch hopefully this summer. Then my corvette build will start. So I am looking forward to this build.
Crazy how you almost caught up to that supercharged mousetang with a stock corvette! You were definitely gaining on it…… videos are always entertaining!
Its just a stock 3v with 11 psi of boost it prob does 400-450ish to the tire give or take depending on other mods it weighs little more than the vette plus it's a 5 speed manual against an 8 speed auto. A stock c7 does like 400 or better to the tire right? It also has better aero so that will come into play at higher speeds. It probably was heat soak on that second run you could clearly see the difference. It's. 4.6 3v from like 15 years ago against a more modern 6.2 vette. Hp is similar between them and weight isn't that far apart the vette has better aero and 8 speed. Not really that surprising. The 11 psi of small whipple makes up for the 1.6 liters of displacement, less weight, 10 years newer platform with 8 speed auto vs 5 speed manual and on top of that it's a mustang gt against a corvette. Just pointing all this out because you called it a mousestang (how cute what a funny guy!) And mentioned it being supercharged against a stock vette. Trying to hype up what the stang is and downplay what the vstte is typical gm way of thinking.
Please don’t bore me, I was running 70th St Front Street, Atco and the 1/4 mile on Henry Ave In Roxborough 42 years ago. I know that you can give me some great content to watch. Watch the trans on the Vette see if the valve body was fixed in that pile of receipts. Remember GM pissed a lot of people off when they didn’t warranty the trans. Thank You
@@completestreetperformance I am new to the channel and I watched the next video. It’s really good and you really explain the process of installing the new sensor. Philly in the House? I used to race on Front Street in the 80's. Had a 327 Chevy II. Buying a 2015 Garage Queen C7 convertible w 7speed because of the Torque tube problem with the Automatic. Listen to the rear for noises. With Manual it comes from throughout bearing but that's very seldom. Good Look. She is slow though.
I knew a about a Nova with a Tunnel Ram and a 327. We had it in Roxborough, had a lot of issues because my friend John who was the original owner rode that Nova hard. Lol now these kids want to go a million miles an hour, maybe because I mellowed out and love the land yachts of our youth!! Lol Go Birds!!!
Love when you do vlogs Andrew. Just my opinion but I really prefer that style over a “produced” version like RPM videos. Yours are more like DFR videos which I prefer. All good in their own ways but just wanted to throw in my 0.02.
Refreshing to see you not talk about the plaid shit. Looking forward to see the gains from the headers. What’s next after headers? Throttle Body and CAI?
Can’t wait for this. About to drop my ecs supercharger on my 14 c7. So this well be great for tuning. Hoping to have my msd intake and 103 throttle body by than as well

Am I the only guy who was ever a service writer at a desk in a shop 🤔 miss your cars due for bratttttttttttt sorry so your car brrrrrattttttttttttt fml lol
Quick, ballpark, rule of thumb is take crank hp - 15% and that gets you pretty close. Manual tends to be slightly higher at wheel but still close enough.
Don't manually shift an auto just put it into the right gear for whatever speed and let the auto so the shifting everyone knows these modern cars are faster when you let the auto shift vs shifting for it.
Lol I have it. It was a welcome update getting back to even with the non FSD updates. They got staggered there so I didn't have some of the newest features like waypoints and stuff. But now we are good. Probably will be late to the party with the new track mode though lol
I can't believe a 3V Mustang with a whipple on 11psi lost to a stock C7 base vette......wow. The C7 is that much lighter because the 3V was making more power......
@Truth you are right that alot of people think 100k is high but on modern cars (last 20 years or so) that really isn't the case anymore if you take care of them they'll last way beyond 100k more like 200-300 minimum
@Truth the 3v is actually a good engine people just compare it against coyotes and much larger ls engines when you really think about it the 3v isn't thst bad stock or modded. I mean they got more power than the old pushrod 5.0 and lt1 from the 90s and it has 1.1 liters more displacement I know those are older engines but they were considered good engines in their time and they aren't that much older with the 3v coming up on 20 years old. You can get 350+ to the wheels without much effort from fbo and cams stock heads stock intake from a 281 cubic inch sohc engine. That is as much power as a solid heads cam intake setup on a pushrod 302 and it has more cubes and a cam only fbo 5.3 isn't gonna make THAT much more with stock heads and intake and it has a decent amount more cubes like almost 50 cubes. I know they can't make 1000 on stock motor but they can make North of 500 on the right setup and last forged rods and pistons and you can make 800+all day long they don't deserve the shit that they get it just gets unfairly compared to the coyote that came right after and was a big step up but because it's better don't mean the 3v is bad.
I just got a 2015 stingray with 103k. Arrives this weekend. I still fell in love with the car when I test drove it and I hope it holds up !
Hows the vette? Any issues?
Please update !

Not for long.
@@completestreetperformance I get that..It just sounded funny lol
RUclips delusional pressures
Right! I own this car with 13000 miles on it and it's anything but slow! If it's slow then my Ferrari 4.7 is slowwwwww! Because my C7 is much faster!

How do you miss a shift in an automatic
Why did that vette loose so much hp?

Betty White since she just passed
I just read. I'm sad.
Why manually shift an auto? Faster in auto it would seem as long as you start in the right gear

It ain't crap. I would run high mileage oil in it Andrew.

This is cool I got my camaro with 109,000 they ran thru it. Now it’s supercharged they gave it a green light to start modding it.
@Truth Yup it’s been proven over and over
@Truth 90-150k is nothing for alot of modern vehicles. That really isn't that high of miles as long as you maintain them properly.
