Your video is marvelous.
This helped me a lot
Thank you, this helped me alot!
Thank you so much 👍
You are welcome
Respected sir if we want to calculate cross tab of demographics with our dependent variable for example (support for tourism) how to calculate the percentage of respondents choosen for example 1,2,3,4,5 on a likert scale out of our total sample
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Am trying to cross tabulate my multiple responses with sex but only the multiple response variables are appearing in the variable box. What can I do?

Amazing video sir! Please help me with how to define such sets for catogaries which have questions having one right answer to check the awareness. Please reply.
thanks. Not sure what you are looking for. A question with one right answer is often called a multiple choice question - single answer, or perhaps a single answer question? Or are you looking for nominal/ordinal/interval/ratio? For that, have a look at peterstatistics.com/CrashCourse/1-Fundamentals/3-MeasLvls.html
I've done this. I'm only getting the case summary when the frequency is selected for multiple responses. any idea why I am not getting the crosstabulation table? and when I select analyze>crosstabs, I cannot proceed with it as well. possible reasons?
difficult to offer a solution if I can't replicate the problem. The set you create with this method will not appear anywhere else than described in the video. Perhaps an alternative method described here: ruclips.net/video/I379NR8C-N4/видео.html works better for you.
Do you know how to rearrange the table based on percentages? So for example from high to low so you can easily see what the 3 most given answers are?
Not sure if this is possible without the use of some SPSS syntax (code). However, if you use the approach shown in this video: ruclips.net/video/I379NR8C-N4/видео.html at about 3:50 you see in the window also an option to sort the results....
Hope that resolves your issue.
the response to a question has3 options. A sample of 120 responses provides 60A,24B,36C. construct the frequency and relative frequency table. how to solve thz
a standard frequency table perhaps: ruclips.net/video/Hsk9VkUAaFg/видео.html
Good video but do you know that can we lock the SPSS celll?
Thanks. Not sure what you mean with 'lock the SPSS cell'. Could you clarify?
@@stikpet I refer to the cell in the Variable view. In your video for instance, you have 'width =8'. Can we lock this cell to prevent other user to edit it?
I'm not aware of a way to lock specific cells. Only the entire data file you could make 'read only': www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21475066 That's the closest I can think of. Hope it helps.
@@stikpet Yes, that's what I looking for. Thank you :)
thanks, it's very useful, how to do it in R?
Glad it helps. You might want to look at ruclips.net/video/vQsdJBm0fLw/видео.html on how to do this with R.
Where can I find that Film preferences.sav file used in the video, please ?
this should be the one: bit.ly/3HbpxCl
Which version is this i've version 27 and i does't work like this i don't know where is the problem
I'm not sure which version this was. The video is 7 years old, so I guess it was version 24 or 25. I'm currently using version 29 and this should still work. Also the documentation of version 27 mentions the method shown (www.ibm.com/docs/en/spss-statistics/27.0.0?topic=sets-defining-multiple-response).
Very vague demo. Needs to be done again
indeed a pitty I didn't notice that at 0:58 not the entire window is visible. I assume you meant that with 'vague'. Will think about making another video, but appears there are also many who like the video as is (114 thumbs up vs. 12 down). I do all this in my spare time.
