My TT Retro 5 has survived trips all over the U.S, getting drenched in Cabo boat ride, sweat on for days in Italy (summer) as well as many more trips. I think you’ll be happy. FWIW, the TT Retro 5 fits in the bottom of my North Face backpack for travel. I’ve since added the TT Retro 7 for more lenses & a small drone. Have fun!

While I really like my R6 and all my Canon lenses, if I would build a kit again, Sony would be the way to go for me. It is sad, that there are so little third party lenses for the RF mount atm.
Since Fuji has recently opened up their lens mount for Tamron and Sigma and other third party manufacturers, the pressure is now on Canon and Nikon to do the same soon, otherwise they might lose out on non professional shooters looking for more affordable gear. So it might happen sooner than you think!

Yep - totally valid questions - so there's a big difference between 1.8 and 2.8 when you start losing light in the evenings. I am intending to vlog with the 20mm because it means I can have more than double the shutter speed with the same amount of available light. I want a higher shutter speed because I'm actually using the catalyst browse stabilisation which needs a slightly higher shutter speed to work well without any artifacts. Yes I could just use 20mm as my wide angle but I like have a slightly closer crop of 28 and slightly wider at 17 for certain situations. I've had the two in my bag now for 3 seperate month long trips and don't feel either are redundant.
Still hoping for the 20, 35 and 85mm RF Sigma for Canon soon! You are also travel to Holland? And do you use also filters for the DJI Mini 2? greetings from Delft, Holland

Why I love Sony, smaller and lighter body’s, open mount to 3rd party brands, and they already downsizing and upgrading all their current lens’s. I was going to switch to canon mirrorless from my old Nikon d750, maybe one day tho I’ll have a canon
Hi Mitch would you be reviewing Canon R5c ? I have been c200 and Nikon D810 , D500 shooter . I got into an accident with c200 and had to sell it unfortunately. So looking to upgrade my gears totally, gonna sell my Nikon gears soon. I'm thinking about getting either canon r5c and r6/r5 or Sony fx3 and Sony a9iii(if it releases this year) else a9ii . I want to buy canon R5c (coz I already have a lot of ef lenses) but I'm worried that video af and dynamic range might not be as good as Sony fx3. I shoot weddings,events,fashion, sports. I want to know your opinion on canon R5c .
That's a ton of expensive gear for a trip. I normally limit myself to 1 body, 2 batteries, two lenses, one small flash that uses 2 AA batteries, chargers, and various small support equipment. I want that package to be as small as possible so I can take photos and not worry about $20k in equipment.

I would upgrade the body first. The 50mm 1.2 is awesome but the autofocus and dynamic range of the R6 will blow you away coming from the RP. But if the 35 is too wide for you and the RP is serving you well just upgrading to the 50 1.2 would be a good option too…
If you have the money to upgrade to an R6 or 50mm 1.2 you could pick up an 85mm prime instead. I find the 35mm + 85mm prime combo is amazing and the 85mm is great for portraits.

@@kriskreates2931 I'd probably look at an alternative 85mm like a Samyang 85mm f1.4 if you can get your hands on one, but that depends where you are in the world (and it will probably need a firmware update). If you're not invested into Canon yet, Sony might be a better option at the moment with lens & camera choices but it also depends if you're purely into photography or if you also do video. Mitch would have better insight into Sony vs Canon though as I haven't personally used Sony's much.

Same here, I backed Canon's mirrorless systems and after a few years, I'm starting to regret it.
