    Thank you so much for such an enthusiastic and honest review! Appreciate all the feedback and everything is spot on! These are resin printed in Formlabs Tough 2000 resin (that's why the price is so high). The resin and consumable tray is very expensive ($200 for resin/liter + $150/tray) so not a whole lot there I can do to lower the price, but I'm trying! The benefit though is that these parts are extremely durable! I've only had a handful of people break some of my designs and I've sold 1000+ to date. As always I love helping the customer so if you have a problem just reach out!

    Got them in the mail yesterday and just put them in. They were an easy install and they work awesome. Until I find a non-jeep body for my scx10iii, these are gonna save me a ton of fumbling with little clips with my big fingers! Maybe they aren't cheap, but they aren't really all that expensive either, and in my opinion, absolutely worth every cent!

    Love these body clips on my VS4-10! I hated the pins! Fine Laser Designs knocked it out of the park with these.

      Upside down pins are appearance mods and usability headaches.

    Hot damn! Was looking to see if i could come up with something for the Phoenix. His idea is much better than iI came up with. Ordered. Thanks for ALL your reviews!!

    Interestingly enough, I ran across these the night before this video was published while browsing Etsy for scale accessories. Just saw the ad for the Phoenix, thought the idea looked cool, but didn't investigate further since I don't own a Phoenix. Then I saw your video and realized he also made them for the Early Bronco, which just happens to be what I'm currently building. Ordered a set last night. And you're right. They are PRICEY for a couple of pieces of printed plastic! But, he has his development time to recoup, and a limited time before all the copy cats start putting them all over eBay, Esty, etc. for $5. Sad, but a reality with 3D printing these days. Debated it but decided, screw it, I'll pay the piper, reward the guy that came up with a great idea and product and have them in hand in a few days.👍

      Right on Michael. Yeah, i hope the video helped you make a decision. A lot of money for a brand/company we haven't heard of so it's useful to see it in action from another viewpoint.

    It's funny that you just posted this. I ordered a set a couple days ago for an SCX10iii, and they just shipped today. I am really looking forward to using them. While I really like that the body clips are out of sight and make the body look better, they are just a pain to get to with my big hands and fingers. I really Love the design of this fastening system.

    I ordered an Atlas last month and it showed up about a week ago and I finally got some time off. It's an awesome little thing for what it is. I think it needs a A frame hoist and a winch on the back.

    Great option part,. But I wonder why magnets are so ignored? To me is the best way and safe for the body that in case it flips away without damages. The only thing is that is difficult to glue on the body but... studying the matter.... Ciao

    Glad to see you still 'testing' on the the park's waterfall...tho, we haven't seen the 'hill climb' in quite some time. Having moved to Vegas, I miss that park, as well as Calabazas Park (outstanding place for the X-MAXX & Sledge...tho, Razor RC might disagree on the "Sledge at Calabazas" point...lol). That waterfall is where I did some of the testing for the C3 rig I took to Scale Nationals 2021.
    I was looking over the selection of clipless systems from Fine Laser Designs...and, for the greatest part, I'm impressed. Nice job in designing all he offers. However, there were two notable omissions in his offerings. He has a clipless system for the VS4-10 Phoenix for those using the body as included (ie. the cab, rear cage, and rear side panels)...but, he doesn't have anything for those running only the cab (the way may have built theirs). Also, while he has clipless designs for the majority of mini/micro crawlers, the most popular - the SCX24 - is missing from his offerings. While I can, potentially, understand not having an offering for a cab-only VS4-10 Phoenix, I am completely baffled why there isn't anything for the SCX24. What gives? 🤙🏼
    EDIT: Correction on the SCX24...upon re-examination, I did find the SCX24 system. At the same time, something I noticed it's that, each time I've checked the page (3x, so far), the items are listed in a different order.

      Oh man, I live right by Calabazas. Can't believe you left us!!!!

    • @ninthislandrc
      @ninthislandrc Год назад

      @@RCReviewChannel Oh, I know you live close to the park...my former next door neighbor has even run his crawlers with you. As for leaving, it wasn't entirely "by choice". My mom passed away a little over a year ago, and my step-dad needed help with things around the house (there were things that each did that the other couldn't, and things my mom could only do weren't getting taken care of)...plus, it finally gave me an "out" to my failed marriage (I won't get into that here).
      I am hoping to be back in the Bay Area sometime this year, and in following years. The executive service company I used to work for will bring me back from time-to-time to drive the busses for large events (ie. Google I/O, other Google events, The Quail (in Carmel), the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, etc). Plus, now working as a tour bus driver, I know there are some Vegas tour groups heading to/through SF...so, if I'm assigned to any of those, that would also bring me back (temporarily, obviously). Under either of those circumstances, chances are, I would bring at least one RC (if one of those trips happens sometime soon, it'll be the AK-917 (yes, I have one, as well...already installed the first upgrade - all-aluminum shocks) with me...plus, maybe, the DJI Mini 2 drone for aerial filming for my channel.

    Are the clips brittle? I wonder how they will hold up over time. A lot of 3d printed stuff that I’ve used. Ends up cracking.

    • @kevin_fine
      @kevin_fine Год назад +1

      Shouldn't be brittle at all! These aren't your "normal" 3D prints as these are resin printed in Formlabs Tough 2000 resin. It is some really strong stuff! A lot closer to an injection molded part and even better in some ways.

    Would love a set of these for my jeep, but postage from US to UK is too high, by the time I pay for the item with tax and delivery, it’s £60…. If he would release the STL files that would be great, but I understand about copyrights so fair deal to the guy.

  • @AlbertoNoys
    @AlbertoNoys Год назад

    I like the idea but 43€ for the TRX4 Defender one, plus 20€ shipping to Europe... Too expensive, sadly. He could consider selling the stl files on something like cults3d for people that are not in the US.
