    Better simple bracket is using Spring Steel banding straps... there's free scraps to be found at your local lumber yard... more ductile... and come in various widths. Heavier but barely.

    I've used several of these methods on my trucks over the years. My last one, the Axial G6, I used some neodymium magnets I got off the E-bay. Shoe goo'd 4 under the lexan and 4 on top of the body posts. holds pretty tight, until side loaded.

      That's a great addition! Using the magnets does work very well!
      Thanks!

      Ya, that's what I thought !!!
      - Thankyou for your input, I am trying to decide which mounting system to use !!!?
      - I probably will use the magnent style mounting approach !! 🤔..... ???
      Or the velcro style, cuz I won't need a whole lot of "hold" for my light weight JEEP CREEP BODY !! 😁
      It's going on a GMADE (GS02F) CHASSIS !!!
      - OH YA !!!! 👍😜🤘😎
      My GMADE (GS02F) "IS" THE BEST AVAILABLE, (STOCK) RC CRAWLER, IN THE WORLD !!!! .....SO FAR...
      CHECK IT OUT ON THE "ADVENTURE RC" CHANNEL !!! AND YOU WILL SEE WHY IT IS THE BEST PERFORMING (STOCK) CRAWLER, OUT OF THE BOX !!!! - PERIOD.
      💪 GMADE "ROCKS",
      NOW THAT THEY CAME OUT WITH THIS NEW RC CRAWLER BACK IN DECEMBER 2020 !!!! 🏁
      [#☝️] IN THE WORLD !!!!! 🤘

    A lot of great ideas for sure. I was really hoping to see how you guys came up with mounting the jeep Cherokee hard especially when the 2 front locations can't be used after the hood is cut open.

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  5 лет назад +2

      We have a full mount setup for CMAX and SCX already, and you can open the XJ hood. Yes.

  • @REVAMPtheindustry
    @REVAMPtheindustry 11 лет назад +1

    smart.. ive been using velcro on my new bright cause the body needs to come off pretty often, but the brackets seem like the way to go if your willing to take some time taking it on and off

    Hi, we could use some sort of locating pin with the velcro if the body is not aligning every time, just a thought. And thanks for your great efforts in showing your tips. You go to length in detail and camera work brother. :-)

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  6 лет назад +1

      Pins yeah! That's a good idea also.. to get it centered, and then have the velcro hold it down. Yeah.

    Neodymium magnets work well too.

    • @RC_Trailblazers
      @RC_Trailblazers 4 года назад

      They do work well. I purchased a gen 8 pack and in the process of a custom build for a trail truck. Works well. Magnets was tough didn't sit low enough for magnets to contact. Using brackets with a rear hinge system works well.

      Carmine Allocca - Because you didn't know this yet! 😜😜
      It's all good brother. At this time, you and I have started our first "real Scaler Rig" projects!!
      Hopefully, someone will step up soon, to help you guys get out of this mess. There's even a couple of RC'ers who've made videos, asking their subs to donate a little money, to help your family get back on your feet again! Some people here are GREAT!

      I would add some styrene features into a lexan body and use many of the same tricks. Glue in posts, or slots for clips etc.
