Sonny, I've been watching your videos for a while now but never got around to making your rosemary salt. I finally made some the other day to use with Christmas dinner and it was amazing. It will definitely be a staple in our household from now on.
you can always use dried herbs but it wont be the same. you could even try to rehydrate them and pat dry before blending with salt and garlic. I'd definitely try it
Well I've never seen you before. You popped up in my feed and I thought oh let me watch that. I love potatoes. Well, I didn't expect it to be super fantastic recipe with tricks and tips that I didn't know as a cook of many years😊 But it is And thank you!!! Amazing!
I'm a huge twice bake fan. This is taking things to another level. I would not use the truffle oil, as most of it has absolutely no truffle in it. Instead I would make a duxelles and mix the cream sauce into it. Gruyere, Comte, and Cantal in equal parts go on top. This is one of those dishes where you can't use too much cheese.
Can i just say that the the cinematography on this video really stood out to me (in a good way lol). As much as we love you Dude, seeing the food itself while making it makes such a difference. Plus the color grading just looks so warm and inviting. also 4k is just (pun intended) Chefs kiss! keep up the good work!
I thought the immaculate fridge behind Marcus was hilarious, given that Sonny used to just punch the fridge in the studio at the end of his videos (probably the same one that's relegated to the backyard now). 😂
For real. I brought some to Thanksgiving last year, and this year everyone wanted some for themselves, so I made a big batch and we gave them away as gifts.
@@robertnoel2363 Nice! It makes a great stocking stuffer! One trick I figured out: if you're going to make a big batch, buy the fresh rosemary and sage at a restaurant supply store, it's much cheaper than buying it at the grocery store.
To preface, this is my favorite food channel on RUclips. I was pumped about the 50 states 50 plates to see what we had in VA. I dont know how many more potato recipes it could possibly be though Sonny dang! Haha
Question - Do you use Stainless baking sheets and wash in the dishwasher, aluminum and wash in dishwasher or either by hand? Love your vids - the knowledge and humor are MUCH appreciated!
I'll eat potato shells / skins all day long with extra butter, grated cheddar or gorgonzola, cooked until shell is crispy, with sour creme. Forget about the potato guts give me the skins! Mother was from Aroostook County, The County, far north Maine. Million dollar tater farms, up that way. We grew up making potato candy with hot mashed tater guts, powdered sugar, butter, shredded coconut, dipped in chocolate. Also called Needhams. Pro tip since you like use Oxo gear. The rotary Oxo pepper grinder. Easy to fill, adjust, clean, and use. $15. I quit buying those fancy pepper grinders years ago. Too slow, too hard to fill, too hard to adjust. Oxo is the best!
Does this recipe come from ur ebook? If it does, it looks OUTSTANDING!!! Happy Holidays Sonny and I am very lookin' forward to ur new-future recipes! 😎😎
@thatdudecancook Are there many recipes where it's essential to use unsalted butter? Or are we typically fine to use salted butter and cut down on salt elsewhere?
Thank you, I appreciate the detail "The full recipe for The Rest Of The World", I think is better to use grams and liters instead of cups and spoons for recipes
My grandma told me that white pepper is for white sauces. I bought a good sized container of white peppercorns and they arrived after I started driving a truck. I haven't made a sauce yet.😢
Undeniably delicious looking (def gonna give this a try), but "better" is subjective. The appeal of "regular" baked potatoes is as much about the ease of prep as it is about the satisfaction of the final product. This is about as relative to a baked potato as a souffle is to a boiled egg.
Where would the culinary world be without potatoes.....
I don't know anybody who hates potatoes. Life would have an empty spot without them. Thanks, chef. 👍
🥲😭 we need 🥔🥔 🙏🏼
We would be sad without potatoes
Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew.
And came fron South America.

I don't have access to fresh rosemary and sage. Can I use dried herbs?

Same. Just made it for the first time this Christmas. It will now live in my house rent-free forever.
When you know, you know!!!!
Made it last year for Christmas dinner… so good. And it lasted for months
You have the best cooking channel out there. So much passion for cooking it’s truly inspiring. Authenticity at its finest. Bravo. 👏🏼
The slice around the potato before baking is brilliant! 😊Thanks for that! I love baked potatoes!❤
I paint butter into the empty shell with salt and pepper and put back in the oven to crisp whilst making the filling

Marcus truly does have the best job in the world.

since my hubby is petrified of shrooms, do you know what other umami I could sneak in? Would Worcestershire work?

White pepper is SO underrated. It's amazing.
6:13 by far the best outro to this day! ❤
I thought the immaculate fridge behind Marcus was hilarious, given that Sonny used to just punch the fridge in the studio at the end of his videos (probably the same one that's relegated to the backyard now). 😂
I love that rosemary salt! been making it for the past year at least. Never miss an opportunity to jack up the flavour when cooking.
it's a lifelong commitment
If you know you know
For real. I brought some to Thanksgiving last year, and this year everyone wanted some for themselves, so I made a big batch and we gave them away as gifts.
@@Green_Tea_Coffee I've been making it in bigger batches and spreading the knowledge too

Those eggs definitely came straight from a good farm. Amazing color on those yolks!

Legendary fridge hit brother!!!
That scoring hack at the beginning. DUDE!!
white pepper and spuds absolutely rock!
These look like an awesome potato experience. Definitely putting this on the list! Thank you.
This looks amazing. I would top it with sautéed onion, bacon crumbles and steamed broccoli.
I've made this more than once since seeing it on your channel...it's one of the best bites of food I've ever eaten!!
These are making my mouth water! Happy Christmas!
Love it!!! Another way to enjoy the potato. Can’t wait for your knife sharpening video Sonny!
Dang Sonny and Marcus killing it with the upload game, what a holiday present! Gonna try this later.
Now that you have made the potato version of a cheese boat you need to make the bread version, khachapuri.
Question - Do you use Stainless baking sheets and wash in the dishwasher, aluminum and wash in dishwasher or either by hand? Love your vids - the knowledge and humor are MUCH appreciated!
Put parchment paper on baking sheets for easy cleanup. AL in dishwasher will discolor.
Happy Holidays!!
You made this already! Its a staple for my holidays
You say herbs with the h just like herbs are meant to be said. My hero.
Im a Huge Butter fan so deffinitly lots of Butter 👍💯
Amazing recipe Chef

Wait... no bacon! Oh... that's has to change
This looks amazing
Potatoes are life lol btw i love the cheeky disclaimer: we are lying to be funny
I make a similar 2x baked potato with a slight variation, I add sausage meet.

Hilarious ending too 😂
I love this guy every thing he cooks is remarkable God bless him and America are Israel 😋 Ken
Wonderful!
The Fridge Attack Cinematic Universe is slowly consuming this channel, one upload at a time.
Yes, we will be doing that.
Amazing fridge scene
Does this recipe come from ur ebook? If it does, it looks OUTSTANDING!!! Happy Holidays Sonny and I am very lookin' forward to ur new-future recipes! 😎😎
Now I really wanna see someone build an 8bit style platformer where Sonny has to cook dishes before battling garden fridge mini boses :D
White Pepper should be "Sergeant Blanco reporting for Duty!!"
I like how the PS5 wasnt wven turned on. Reminds me of a scene from Grandma's Boy
Love that movie
@thatdudecancook Are there many recipes where it's essential to use unsalted butter? Or are we typically fine to use salted butter and cut down on salt elsewhere?
This looks Delish! 😋
I didn't know this was a gaming channel as well... you guys go hard!
I love that this guy's kitchen is totally pimped out with high end stuff and the backyard is mega ghetto.
I don't like saying that people are doing too much but you're insane. It's awesome
That video game scene was amazing lol.
do some more live streams when you can. Those were fun!
Thank you, I appreciate the detail "The full recipe for The Rest Of The World", I think is better to use grams and liters instead of cups and spoons for recipes
Sonny, any thoughts of marketing your Rosemary Salt?
6:25. *Bruce Lee One Inch Punched* that fridge
Nice!
I liked the until 5:51
I would love a chance to do his makeup. He will be a really perfect Napoleon or Nero
I lost it during the cutaway when Marcus kept pressing A to puff your chest in and out. hahahahhaah
Damn, that looked tasty
I love the "Bruce Lee" punch on the refrigerator! Hilarious!
Some fried up bacon with the cheese would be dope
saw a thumbnail with peripheral vision and thought this was a Mars Volta song
My grandfather used to make thes4 all the time. He was a chef in the navy
Get Guga to Dry Age Steaks in your Rosemary Salt! Preferably Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeyes...
I feel the same way as those potatoes today 😅
Lol- good job Sonny and Camera Man!
Amazing! What’s up dude!
I need that game 😂
Do you pronounce the H in herbs to get more comments? If so, brilliant, if not, stop it! 😂. Great recipe. I love this channel ❤
Or the bacon could be shredded and put into the cream sauce. Ya!!!! Gotta make this.
My grandma told me that white pepper is for white sauces. I bought a good sized container of white peppercorns and they arrived after I started driving a truck. I haven't made a sauce yet.😢
For special occasions, I always like to add crab meat. Sumptuous!
Too fussy for me to make, but looks awesome.
Sonny, I keep forgetting to Like your videos. I did this one, but got any tips to remember next time?
LOL @ 6:13 - PS5 controller isn’t even powered on! 😂 😂😂😂
That's definitely a $35 potato at a restaurant 😂
Srgt pepper running lil low? ;)
I know!
Fridge got body popped 🤣
Playstation I knew I liked you for more than cooking 😅

What was the point of using the ricer...
