Way back in 1979, my Dad saw and drove my "Pissed off" 1972 6 pack 440/472 Charger. He threw me the keys to his pride and joy a 1972 , 2 door, Imperial and said- "Build me a 472 like yours, but keep the air conditioning" I attempted to tell him that a 440 6 pack engine didn't have A/C. He said- "I know, make it happen" I made 3 different brackets for the A/C. I ended up making the brackets to sell to a few 440 heads. I ended up building him 2 Imperials. The "hero" car, that had every option that chysler had and drove his family about. He called it his .44 (He liked guns) It was "mildly angry" as opposed to "Pissed off". It was "mad, bad and fun to drive" With making a fiberglass hood and trunk lid, I managed to strip 800 lbs off the car. We had a lot of fun with our cars. It bought us together, with a bond that was impossible to break. He was always saying- "My son built that car" With a pride that was pushing the "sin of pride" to the limit. By 1999, cancer was claiming my Dad's life. I was ANGRY, there wasn't a thing to do about it. After he passed, there was his .44, I rebuilt the engine and tranny. I could not part with the car. Sad to read about your loss. My mom is currently fighting brain cancer. Been through two surgeries allready and is waiting on the body being strong enough to continue cemo. She is 59 and im 28. Having to face our parents mortality long before expected is hard. We are just two strangers on the Internet, but you have my deepest compassion. Thanks for sharing your story.
Thank you Nick and crew for taking on this project, you truly make dreams come true..... As a father I cannot imagine the pain that he is going through however he is trying to heal and honor his son in the best way possible
Who DOWNVOTED this video, ffs??? Nick, this even bought a tear to my over-cynical eye. Also I'm not usually a fan of yellow, but that truck just looks right in that colour, and you're right about the interior: Very good.
So very moving. My staff think I'm a heartless arse but this has me welling tears. Thank you Nick for taking on this project, you and your staff, have hearts of gold. 👍👍🇦🇺
And also from OZ, Nick. You are not only the Doctor for Mopars, you are the Doctor for Hearts. As a dad I cannot begin to imagine the pain he is feeling. It would break me into pieces. I would never recover. Our kids are what we have lived for and are the testament to our lives. I hope the car show went well and you have a full order book. My son is now a permanent resident of Canada having started a new life there. He just had a big setback but he still wants to become a citizen. I hope your country will watch over him. We, his family are 13,000 miles away so its hard to do that from here. I told him to get over from Toronto one day and say hello. Put an LS7 in the Chevy Extreme and paint the valve covers yellow to match.
Not a dry eye in the place.. As it should be.. Nick, thank you. Sebastian's father thank you for sharing your love for your son. He will live on in your heart. You will remember the shotrt time you had together for the test of your life. He will live on in your heart with the S 10 Extreme. How you were able to keep it together while filming this show... Fitting tribute for Sebastian. The pain, the agony of loosing a son that is 20.. Thoughts and prayers for the family of Sebastian, Nick's Garage and all the folks that have left a comment. And to the father that just made his 40th donation to St. Judes..
It is amazing how you are very generous with your heart and made this person feel so good and after this is done , you will be part of his life forever. Nick you are truly a special person, I am blessed to be a close friend for so many years.
Thanks Johnny. And let it be known that you immediately said that you want to be there with your fantastic ‘Cuda to honor the family when this project rolls out of the shop.
NICK you truly have a heart of gold my brother.. I love all that you do.. keep up the great work.. cannot wait to see the awesome work you do on this.. you are a blessing to all of us in the muscle car community.. Godspeed and peace to you..
Great thing for you to take that on to make their dream come true. So many condolences go out to Jeff and his family on the loss they have suffered..but you just know that he is looking down so pleased with what you have done, and are doing. This one is guided from above..and touches all of us.
Healing from the pain of a loss , to finish a dream , is a very good way to start . You are totally awesome for being a part of this Nick , you have a huge heart !
I needed this today, pretty awesome to see such a bond between father and son. It was nice to live that briefly. I never had that with my dad, He died just a few days ago on friday night.....ty Nick for this
It is such a good thing that you are willing to help this Dad. While others may only see a yellow truck with a black stripe, this grieveing Dad sees what we can't, or are meant to see. We aren't supposed to bury our children but, many of us do. We then have to pick up the pieces and keep going. We all grieve in our own way but what is certain is that we have to grieve, we MUST grieve because healing is part of grieving. As for me I honor my son Brian each year with a donation in his name to St Jude's. What a coincidence that this week marks my 40th donation. Keep this up "Dr" Nick and some of us may start referring to you as "Saint" Nick? (just kidding) Nick, merci de nous l'avoir montré. J'en avais besoin et je suis reconnaissant à toutes les personnes impliquées pour que cela se produise pour ce papa. Les bonnes actions que vous faites pour les autres vous seront rendues cent fois.
Nobody would want to walk in that Father’s shoes. I’m sure this project and the end results will bring a lot of happiness all around Nick. Looking foreword to following this build.

Having just lost my son at a too young 27 not 2 months ago. There never was a more true statement than when they said "every morning that you wake up is a gift"! May your son Rest In Peace as well!!
When Dad described how his son died, how horrible. No parents should have to live with that. I know Nick and his crew will do right for this young man's family. He was obviously a car guy.
God bless this family for their loss. Can't imagine the pain they are going through. As i have a 18 year old son who has the same passion for old school muscle. God bless you Nick for helping the family with a dream for their son. You and your team are truely amazing.
There was no doubt in my mind that Nick would take this job. My Son is my world, & it's plain to see that Sebastian was & still is this man's world. May God bless all involved & touched by this story.
Rest in peace, Sebastian. I had a hard time getting through this video, but thank you, Nick and gang! My sincere condolences to Sebastian's loved ones. You aren't supposed to bury your kids. I'm not afraid to admit that I cried watching this video.
@@NicksGarage Thank you. This video really got me. My wife died unexpectedly in her sleep recently and I have a 15 year old daughter who I love dearly. I just couldn't imagine losing her. It's in the right hands now...l've had 2 of these trucks - 94 GMC Sonoma short bed 4cyl 5 spd (truck would go 500 miles on 1 tank) & 97 S10 long bed 4.3V6 with 5spd...the V6 was surprisingly quick & can't even imagine a V8 in 1 of these...both trucks had the same problem - windshield wipers (delay?) those wipers (both trucks) only worked when they wanted to...l was going to get an lsuzu Hombre (same style truck) when the salesman offered a brand new 08 short bed Ram at half sticker price...that was September 09 & I'm still driving that Dodge today
This is the most heart wrenching episode that I have seen on here, bless the father and of course you Nick and your good employees and customers bless all of y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Johnny Hawkins Kentucky USA!!!!!!!!!
Nick...well done for taking on this job. It may be a small thing for you and Vasili, but it is going to mean so much to that father. Right in the feels.
Wow Nick this is going to be the most remembered Memorial Day Ever this was such a heart touching story I went to pieces watching this God bless you my friend and thank you for doing this job for these people in Memorial of an awesome young man😢
Chapeau bas Nick, your gesture is very humble, looking forward to see the sun shinning again on the faces of Sebastian's family. Too young to leave so soon. C'est la vie....
Nick, I feel so sad, I am crying for that gentleman in the loss of his beloved son. I can relate; when my brother died I witnessed my Father's grief, there was nothing I could do. You have availed yourself of a profound opportunity to help alleviate a family's sorrow. That truly makes you a God Father. My heart goes out to you and that Father's family with my sincerest condolences. Alex G
Wow. No parent should ever have to go through what this poor man and his family have. I have a 24 year old son. I can only imagine the pain if we lost him. RIP, young man.
I'm totally choked up listening to this story of this family tragedy sometimes we don't realize how lucky we are & Nick your a good man and that kid live dream will be seen thru his dad & truck
As a parent myself I must say "a parent should NEVER have to bury a child" But there are times that we do and it kills what little of us we have at that time. So thank you Nick for making this one a little easier to bare. And a dream to come true. And from my family to his and to you Nick if you need anything we are here to help. Money, parts, put it out there and we will help. Again no parent should have to bury a child! I know.
Oh man Nick, you have a doctor's coat? Just like Dr. Oldsmobile from the days of yor! The Godfather, Dr. Oldsmobile, Dr. Mopar, Mr. Fixit, Dr. Hemi ,man, you got all kinds of titles! Lol! That's great! All titles of venerance, love and respect for you and your passion, experience and joy! Wunderbah! This is a very heartwarming tale, harrowing, and I'm so sorry for his and his family's loss,he sounds like a very passionate, committed and stalwart young man. It's such a shame what happened to him so senselessly, but what is in Gods plan for us all is a great mystery. Thank you for sharing this heartwrenching yet also warming family's ordeal with us. Prayers and blessings please be upon you and your family to ease your pain and suffering ,and I hope the completion of this young man's dream helps with the easement of some of the pain. Thanks again guys! ▪☆☆☆▪
I bought my brothers 98 Xtreme with a four cylinder motor. For some reason or other when I drove that truck I felt connected to my brother. Had some good memories in that truck! When I drove it home I blew the rear tire in Illinois, my brother had put a spare tire under the bed of the truck and when I went to put it on I realized it wasn’t the right size. I called him and said what on earth made you put the wrong sized spare on the truck? He said he merely wanted the truck to look complete. It makes me laugh now but that is so how my brother is. Just wanted it to look like it was all there.
God bless that man and his son. I have one son I'm very proud of, 30 yrs old, spent 4 yrs in army, I'm proud he wanted to serve his country on his own, as soon as he turned 18. We lost our 2nd son. God bless you & your son. Nick too. "Hopefully he will see the truck through dads eyes"".. He will.
I have a hard time trying to even think about what I'd do if that happened to me. Seeing this just tears me apart. I love my kids so much that I get choked up knowing that some day I'll have to leave them alone without me and cause them pain. I wish I could live forever so I can be there any time they need me. It hurts knowing that one of us will have to go on alone. I hope this will ease his pain and gives him the strength needed for each day that his heart needs to heal..
Thank you Nick and crew y'all have a heart of gold but just keep sharing and sharing and making dreams come true as a parent of three I can't imagine the pain that this father is going through heartbreaking very touching can't wait to see the finished product and see him drive off with a big smile on his face and tears in his eyes God bless all of y'all everyday
WOW VERY BEFITTING STORY HERE FOR THIS [ MEMORIAL 🙏🏼 DAY ] ..... TO THE CAMERA 📹 CREW, 👈🏼 VERY KOOL & TOUCHING ENDING LOOKING UP TO THE HEAVENS.☁️ ..... ( KNUCKLE👊🏽BUMP ) Nick's Garage
This move me to my soul! Where not supposed to Bury our children. There's a saying that the way to someone's soul it's through their eyes? What Nick displayed and showed was a prime example of a good soul that he is . I like to donate $100.dollers to wards rebuilding Sebastian's car on behalf of Nick and his father. If anyone of you are married and have a child or a nephew or a niece or young cousin there's nothing in the world that is more valuable and close to our hearts and soul's than family, and close friends. In this case it's a stranger regardless of the connection here? It's about the soul of man the empathy, and compassion towards mankind that could make a difference in someone's life? and this what it's all about even in the midst of all the pain, showing love towards this man and his son ,will be a ever lasting impression as he lives on . .from strangers that watch Nick's Garage to rebuilding his son's dream car, we're actually rebuilding our lives through soul of other people's eyes. Rest in peace!! with you and your family.
I went to high school and mechanic school with him, funny guy, if you had a bad day he would always find a way to make you laugh. I helped him work on this exact S10 sometimes at school, he helped me work on my cars. Cherish every moment guys, we are so fragile. Rest in peace Sebastien Malo
Way back in 1979, my Dad saw and drove my "Pissed off" 1972 6 pack 440/472 Charger.
He threw me the keys to his pride and joy a
1972 , 2 door, Imperial and said-
"Build me a 472 like yours, but keep the air conditioning"
I attempted to tell him that a 440 6 pack engine didn't have
A/C.
He said-
"I know, make it happen"
I made 3 different brackets for the A/C.
I ended up making the brackets to sell to a few 440 heads.
I ended up building him 2 Imperials.
The "hero" car, that had every option that chysler had and drove his family about.
He called it his .44
(He liked guns)
It was
"mildly angry"
as opposed to
"Pissed off".
The second car was identical to the first one on the outside, but was striped to the bone inside. It had a 11:1 472, 6 pack and a automatic, and a 411, Dana 60 axel.
It was
"mad, bad and fun to drive"
With making a fiberglass hood and trunk lid, I managed to strip 800 lbs off the car.
We had a lot of fun with our cars.
It bought us together,
with a bond that was impossible to break.
He was always saying-
"My son built that car"
With a pride that was pushing the
"sin of pride" to the limit.
By 1999, cancer was claiming my Dad's life.
I was ANGRY, there wasn't a thing to do about it.
After he passed, there was his .44, I rebuilt the engine and tranny.
I could not part with the car.
I still drive it today.
Nick-
Build that yellow and black truck-
See to it that my last line rings true for his Father.
The way of the muscle car will never
Die.

Wow. No parent should ever have to go through what this poor man and his family have. I have a 24 year old son. I can only imagine the pain if we lost him. RIP, young man.

Godfather, Doctor, Professor, and now Saint Nick!
I'm totally choked up listening to this story of this family tragedy sometimes we don't realize how lucky we are & Nick your a good man and that kid live dream will be seen thru his dad & truck
As a parent myself I must say
"a parent should NEVER have to bury a child"
But there are times that we do and it kills what little of us we have at that time.
God bless you both Nick, you're a good man!
He will.
Very much looking forward to seeing this come together.
Very Touching Episode Nick! Awesome to see the Soft Side of these Vlogs! Great Job taking on this Project!
Awesome Nick, Heart of gold👍
As parents, we should not outlive our children. I hope this project helps Sebastian's father heal. RIP Sebastian.
I liked the s-10 blazers back in the day. Good luck with it.
A fan sent Nick a t shirt with him as God father has I think it should be Dodge father

Incredibly sad story about Sebastien. Our sincerest condolences to Nadine & Jeffrey Malo. Nick and the gang will make that truck sing. :)
That’s very generous. Thank you.
God bless you Nick!
Well Done "DR. Nick" ! Good Medicine "Uncle Nick", Nice Tribute Dad ! ( AND Godfather ) ! Best episode of 2019 !
