I've tried almost all of them here. By far the Ernst WrenchPro are my favorite.

I really do like them, the fit and finish is awesome, but I do think they can improve a little bit too!

Years ago I was looking for a way to organize screwdrivers and came across a guy in Canada that used magnetic strips he got at Princess Auto, that's Harbor Freight here in the states. I use them for my screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets, extensions and pliers. ;-)

I usually rock the trays the wrenches come in, definitely a pain for getting all my sets to fit nicely in the drawer. That Ernst one seems real nice

They definitely are pretty nice, a little cheaper than the widgets too but I can probably get you a discount code for widgets if you wanted to even the playing field ;)

The cost is a full stop for me when it comes to tool box widget. I can get 40 Ernst with magnets vs 24 widgets. The magnets don't come out. TWs aren't made in the USA. Ass, toolganizer, and Ernst are all us made.

Thats a great discussion actually. This is one of the reasons I wanted to try the TBW DIY stuff too. I just redid the white box in the video with the DIY last night so keep an eye open for that video soon. So do not quote me because its just hearsay I've heard and I've put zero research into it, but... I hear that Ernst currently has some legal action being levied against them for some patent infringements and/or false claims of USA made. I love Ernst products, USA made or not, for me I have close to 250 wrenches if not more. If I switched to the Ernst holders, I guarantee I wouldn't fit them all in the drawers I have them in. Meaning I'd need a bigger box, I already have a matco 6s Triple bank with a locker and a hutch. If I'm talking going bigger from what I currently have it's probably a $5000-$10,000 expense if not more. To spend $3000 on Widgets is actually the cheaper alternative at this point in my life.

@@TalkinTools the usa made thingy is becoming a hot button recently as a large tactical company just got nailed for it. I am not shocked to see but I will research because they are local to me

@@annalongfield Definitely, I would be curious to see what you find! I love their products either way but someone said something to me a year or so ago and it really made me think. They said "Just because it's made in the USA doesn't mean it's great quality" . I can say I love usa made stuff over any others but I have also been quite disappointed in some of it within the last few years as well. I think it mainly has to do with peoples current attention to detail / give a shit level / pride in their work. It's sad to see

None of these specifically lol, you might be able to find the old school triangular wrench rack with a locking feature. For mobil stuff I honestly prefer a simple wrench roll, I know Tekton offers a few inexpensive ones

Didn't say it was deleted. I also can't see it. Apologies for how that reads. RUclips is such trash now, but here we are.@@TalkinTools My original comments were that I have dumped a ton of cash in TBW, I have at least 25 sets of them, likely 30, orange and black box generations. I've used them for wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, gun tools, and more. But the quality is not great for the price. All the issues you mention and serious fit/finish issues. No color options, terrible size markers, etc. The Ernst product is very promising and I recently re-did most of my wrenches with them. They really work well and I hope Ernst builds out the system. TBW is a great company and as a veteran, I support veterans. But they need to up the game for the money now that they have real competition.

No worries I get it now! I was like shit I definitely haven't gotten rid of any comments lol@@C2Installations To touch on your point I also agree within reason. They seemed to be very good originally, then I don't know if they grew so quick that trying to keep up made the fit and finish suffer a little more maybe? I can say I've gotten them that fit together crappy, or that a few of the magnet plates were all rolling around the box and some that they just didn't clip in well. The PRO series do seem to be more consistent than the DIY series from what I saw in the lot I just received from them. I wouldn't write them off as having gone downhill for good just yet though. I've seen some samples and have heard about the redesigned PRO series, only time will really tell as to what we actually get delivered from it. They say June they're looking like the new design will be starting to come in, they moved their production facilities and changed the material and design a little when it comes to the missing tool indicator and the magnet plate. The biggest thing I love to see is that a company sees or hears of an issue and they make action to address it. Changed don't happen overnight in mass production like that so for them to make changes like they say they are is a big undertaking. So I'm real interested to see the new ones, hopefully I'll have some to check out as soon as they come in!

I support them, and have spent a lot of $$$ on the products, but I think the value is less now than before with competing USA made products that do some of what I need better. I am also disappointed that they appear to no longer sell on Amazon, which is a mistake, IMO. There were several times I just added another set to my cart/order because it was handy to do so, rather than create an account/log-in, enter CC, pay shipping, etc. Ernst and Tekton are on the 'ZON, and while I hope Jeff Bezos chokes on a peanut, I do appreciate the convenience when I need just one or two of something. In any case, TBW is still ahead on the variety and modularity of their total system, but I think the whole line needs improved. Sounds like it will be, but it might also be too late to keep customers from exploring options.@@TalkinTools

I have all those 🫣the Ernst ones with magnets are probably my favorite, tool box widgets would be if the magnets and bottoms wouldn’t come out when modifying to rearrange wrenches

    • @TalkinTools

So thats the biggest issue I've seen with them too, Once you have them set where you want them it's no longer an issue but it can make it cumbersome when you're trying different configurations. I can tell you that by about June you should see a complete revamp on the Pro series. A new material is being used as well as a magnet and missing tool indicator that will never fall out!
