Ethan, looks like you have been having fun here. Love the combination RGB with UV - Thanks for the great update, I am just getting to my 10x8 RGB head with 500 WS2812B LED's using the base controller from Marco Glattfelder, I know you spoke with him and obviously you have taken your controller to another level.

Awesome! good luck with your build. Thanks for the compliment, it will be a nice system if it works, but there's always a chance it won't! 🙃 The one thing in the design I won't know until its finished is how well the UV will work. I'm using a non traditional diffusion screen which should at least double the light compared to traditional diffusers, but will still fall short of a condenser's efficiency. I'm hoping it will be efficient enough, but if not I may have to re design the head.

This seems really cool. Just one thing, would be cool if you could turn up the volume on any future videos because it was a bit hard to hear

Looks good! I built several some years ago, ended up sticking to my latest prototype for my own use, mine has a probe and is an F-stop timer, got two videos that show me using the system on my channel, just for multigrade.

awesome! what method did you use for controlling the LEDs?

@@ethanbrossard5700 I’m not using PWM due to the startup delay of my driver circuit so I control the time they are on turn them on and off at maximum brightness controlled by a simple relay and that has a near stable startup time.

Some high end enlargers had shutters

I don't think I'll need that, since the fade only happens on really low light values, but I do actually have the electronic shutter from an absolutely enormous HK 877 horizontal enlarger in my attic. Sadly most of that enlarger ended up in the scrap pile, but the shutter may come in handy for something.
