In this video I will try to solve some problems with my printing, as well as unpack my new darkroom parts, a new easel and a color analyzer from Philips PCA 061 and check everything in operation. I'll print pictures with the 35mm. I will also try to print in the presence of a poor light from a JOBO MAXILUX Color 6420. The video is quite informative, so enjoy watching it.

I was doing my c41 process with a sous vide (35€) when Cinestill brought this "magnific" product to the market. It´s crazy how they manage to sell it.

Exactly 💯, and it's like horrible in quality. I bought it only because it should be "chemically resistant", but it's completely not because of aluminium heater, which will be destroyed in the alkaline solutions

How do you solve the yellow cast issues ? The solution is color analyzer or a old durst circuit and bad bulb or using cyan dial ?

Color calibrator don't really solve anything. You anyway need to calibrate it, so you dial all settings by eye before you adjust calibrator. It was a problem with lamp contacts, for some reason it worked extremely unstable, and give more yellow on some exposures, so i replace contacts and lamp (in next videos) and my corrections was predictable and you can adjust yellow channel.

I was about to suggest a color analyzer to ensure consistency with the filters.

I am planning on getting that color analyzer, would you say it's worth it?

If it's in working condition and you can buy it dirt chip - go for it. It actually saves a lot of paper and chemistry, and you starting from relatively close print for correction from the first shot

You could buy a roller base for your Jobo instead of rotating it by hand, either way works, but it's more conveniente this way.

I have rule - i don't buy overpriced equipment just because it's Jobo or something else, or brand new. 85 euros for the plastic roll stand is to much and it will never pass the test of time

Oh yes, that makes a lot of sense now.
Sure, it's better just to roll it by yourself, than spend money on some cheap plastic.
Good luck with your printing !
