This is a very impressive watch! The amount of fine detail is outstanding in this price range. Forget Rolex OP, this watch looks the business and I'd love to have one on my wrist.
I’m impressed by the finishing on the dial and love the movement. The higher grade movement is a step up from brands like Oris for less money! I like the comparison with GS but actually wish GS would include lume more in their dressy sports watches. The lume on this watch doesn’t detract at all from the look or finishing of the polished indices or hands.
I ordered one recently, waiting for it to arrive in the mail any day now. As someone born in Korea, I'm proud there are microbrand there run by folks with a real love for horology and it shows in the work. It beats seeing certain other Asian brands simply making cookie cutter knockoffs of known Swiss brands
Quite impressed with the Pitzmann II as a Pitzmann first owner. Finishing looks really good and bang for buck is there. Honestly reminds me of my Ball Enterprise in some ways in terms of bang for buck
first time I've seen the new style intro - like it very much. Also like the watch reviewed. The slimness whilst maintaining the WR of 150 would be a big "Pro" for me
I think this is a impressed watches, as one of the watch lover, it had the very good finishing both on case and bracelet, but I think for this watchs the key part( difficult part) should be the clear and very sharp hand and indexes on dial, and SW300 SWISS MADE MOVEMENT used on it , which all is the essential points for a high end watches.
@@BruceWilliams I like it and the price seems to be around $900 on the website. I think its great especially for the price. I used to live in Seoul for a few years so it's something I am interested in.
As I see the caption image for this video, I realise that if the Pitzmann II would have placed the ridges on the outer circle radially, it would even further emphasise giwa roof tiling. (Of course I'm not suggesting it would look successful. Perhaps they even tried!) While I know little about Korean arts and culture specifically, I do find that the Pitzmann II effortlessly exudes the far east somehow, but in a way that completely blends with the established steel dressy sports watch genre. A bit like smart Japanese tailoring. It's very well done.
Looks beautifully made. The only thing is the overall design isn’t exactly original, which makes standing out from the competition rather difficult. Bracelet link edges are ‘Speedmaster harsh’…😆
@@BruceWilliams It’s not a direct homage, but has a similar aesthetic to the OP, or King Seiko, Tissot Gentleman, Ball Engineer M Marvelight, Raymond Weil Freelancer, FC Highlife, Traska Commuter, CW Sealander (plain bezel), etc. It’s clearly very well finished, but I’m wondering if that enough for a relatively unknown brand in such a fiercely competitive market? Personally I like it alot. Thanks for sharing 👍
@@borassictime918 you're clearly into steel sports watches! I actually think that in this crowd this Pitzmann II manages to stand out very well, but as can be expected, the difference is in subtle details (and possibly the finishing that many comment on is extremely competitive in comparison to well-established other brands. On the Pitzmann I I've even seen some remark the polishing is zaratsu-like. I wouldn't know, since I've never seen a zaratsu polished watch, but it's high praise indeed. The RW Freelancer cleared up where I've seen the dial layout with concentric circles in the outer ring before, although it's likely not the only one to have this. Hour markers shaped like this, as well as with this height and size, I don't think I have seen before. It's very tastefully done and works very well with the substantial faceted handset. I can see why @BruceWilliams would liken it to GS. It's the first thing I thought of too, even before the Omega Aqua Terra as Peter Kotsa referred to in his review. Though I can see the influence of that too. The thing is, ultimately up to a level, all steel sports watches with stick markers are going to look alike. However, the Traska Commuter in its turn looks remarkably like a particular Rolex (the model name escapes me) doesn't it? The Borealis Sintra is probably closer to an homage to the Aqua Terra and yet even Borealis escapes being too much of a copy by throwing in some charming own design interventions. Peter Kotsa also mentioned there is a Ball with a convex bezel. That I'd like to see, as currently this Pitzmann is the first I've seen offering that and I really like it!
Nice review. Do we know who Pitzmann was or is? I’ve heard that sometimes the shapes of characters in English text have an appeal when viewed in Asian languages like Korean which may be the case here. Anyhow, just trying to see if there’s a connection or linkage here or just a name that seemed like a good idea at the moment.
Did you ever consider to have an Horage Autark Jura on your unusual Monday? Not sure if they'd let you, but it would be so unusual as that I've never seen a single review nor owner's wordt shot or anything beyond a few promo pictures from the brand. The story of Horage is unusual enough and I think the titanium Autark with the faceted markers and its complications merits more attention.
Georgeos looking watch, I ordered mine but got stolen in transit. Be careful, I got mine send to germany and it went through dhl customs. Dhl doesn't cover luxuries products in their insurance!
Dosent look like a 1000$ watch, now with 400$ you get sapphire curved glass, titanium/stainless steel case, amazing lume, nice movements, why would anyone want to buy this ugly watch for 1000$ ? Dosent look unique, dosent have anything special. Even Omega looks like a Rolex clone, nobody does anything ORIGINAL now...thats why i only use old watches.
@@scotthetrick5057 For example Citizen, Super-Titanium BM8560, now is 300$. And are so much more brands with this combo, just need to search, google is your friend. ;)
It looks like 3000 bucks. Amazing looking watch. I want one😮💨

This is actually really good for the price
Hey Bruce, very good idea, this Unusual Monday! Big fan of the channel. Cheers!
Awesome, thank you!
first time I've seen the new style intro - like it very much.
Also like the watch reviewed. The slimness whilst maintaining the WR of 150 would be a big "Pro" for me
I made 4 different variations of the intro for each week of the month
Definitely on my list now. Thanks for the heads up. The finishing is insane for the price

This brand is certainly making the youtube rounds.
I'm glad to be the first to show the model 2.

It seems like an affordable alternative to an Omega Aqua Terra.More than decent water resistance..Wish it didnt have see through case back.

Nice find. Thanks for the vid, Sir.
Clicked on this one fast Bruce. Wanna see where you found THIS piece..god damn!!
Great review Bruce!
Thanks!
Very nice! I would spend a bit more and go for a fully micro adjustable tooless adjustment bracelet on the Monta Noble.
Not bad. Not bad at all.

What would you say this was is an homage to? I don't see anything outside of similar to GS on dial work which is a good thing

Can You review "Sterling Watches" from the UK. Military timepieces founded by a current serving solider?
