They just announced 15 new paintings: End Boss, Tides, Fern, Sunflowers, Katon, K Bird, Bouquet, Owl Lemons, Passage, Changing, Finding, Low Mist, Backyard, Pond, and Orb. (The names might be off; they only announced them in a Short where is was difficult to depict the names)
and theyre so beautiful too!!

You can put chests on llamas, so probably what was in the chests were getting deleted? Also if you tame the trader llamas they don't despawn
I think the inventory was getting shifted, which could lead to some items in the chest getting deleted because they were shifted out

I love them! Those additional decorative options were long overdue.
I will always respect mojang for actually finishing, updating, and ecpanding minecraft.
They just kept going and haven't stopped. They never jumpped on the "keep remaking the game" trend. Like a minecraft 2, 3, etc... instead the just keep updating the same game and you dont have to rebuy it either or "unlock" by buying it.
I wish Mojang would do a massive update with new structures and features and other stuff and that they wouldn’t tell us anything we would all go in blind and all they would do is tell us there’s is a new big update it would be titled the”Mysterious Mess” update

@@TABiIIy unfortunately that'd be a lot of work and it'd get spoiled by social media pretty quick and it'd be REALLY hard to covertly bugtest. if you want an experience like that the best idea I have is to figure out a way for a friend to pack together some mods for you to explore without telling you what's in there
You can actually keep trader llamas by taming them and giving them chests and/or giving them a carpet. Then they don't despawn. However, if you breed two of them you get a baby trader llama and if you are unlucky you don't have the time to tame it before it despawns.

And the new paintings are actually made by the guy who did the original Minecraft paintings, Kristoffer Zetterstrand. A legend returns.
"Riddles in the dark" is a Lord of the Rings and Hobbit reference. It's the chapter about how Bilbo got the Ring from Gollum. So, either the trail chambers will have puzzles to solve; there's a chance of getting something that will turn you invisible; a Gollem-like creature lives in the trial as a mid-game boss I'm thinking the hide-and-seek kid merchant thing; or we can go full crazy: Dwarf villagers [called Chamburglars], Cave trolls iron golem sized earth colored zombie, or to go full LoTR: a fire dragonling or a Balrog.
Riddles in the dark is the title of the chapter in The Hobbit where Bilbo meets Gollum and Gollum asks him riddles
Literally all they needed to do to redeem the ‘tinkering’ aspect was rework the flippin anvils already, that’s something everyone’s hurting for, something that woulda worked perfect for it, I just wish that had happened.
Honestly the Autocrafter feels like it’s meant for a different update
In the monthly update you can see a Fletching table a bit hidden on the left side on the screen. I think something is going to come (I hope they give it a use).
With the lowercase song titles, I'm guessing it was because they were originally written in Japanese (Kumi Tanioka is a Japanese composer, and for example yakusoku means promise and komorebi means sunlight filtering through trees) and whatever platform (or possibly mojang themselves) just wrote it out in romaji.
I don't know why they didn't released the Armored Paws drop with this update and call it "Trials and Tails"
Probably because "Tails" is too similar to "Tales" which they used for the last update

8:14 The new music discs are most likely Creator (Copper orange disc), Creator (Music Box) (Copper green disc), and Precipice (Multicolored disc). This is because they're the last 3 songs in the soundtrack, which is always reserved for new music discs (see the OSTs for 1.16, 1.18, 1.19, and 1.20).
Not to mention the fact that those three tracks have a completely different sound from the others and don’t sound like songs that would randomly start playing in game

I believe "Riddles in the dark" is a reference to a chapter from The Hobbit where Bilbo is lost in a cave, finds Gollum, and the two exchange riddles.

I've actually been collecting all the discs in my world. I have every single one. So having three discs is going to be very interesting if they all come from the vault or the ominous vaults what's going to happen is I'm not just going to be looking for The mace I'm going to be looking for those as well. Makes the exploration that much more worth it

That intro music took me back to 2020 when nether update snapshots were being released. it was the time when I started playing minecraft and I used to watch your minecraft guide. This is so nostalgic to me 🥺🥺🥺.
For me it’s little details that can make all the difference. Every new update excites me for something small about it, like a new flower, new painting, an animal, etc. It’s like, if this was the last big update ever i would still play MC until i die, but I’m always curious about what they’re thinking up next. Some say it’s too much and in some ways, i can agree with that. But they’re keeping it relevant and I personally have enjoyed everything thus far!

Carpets on lamas were in the game since they added them in remember the last update before all that nostalgia was of the past the aquatic update last time when 4 J studios was with Minecraft.
4:47 Wattles. Every time a wandering trader spawns on my stream world I liberate the llamas from the trader and tame them. I put carpets on them depending on which project I want them to be a part of. THE UPDATE UNCARPETED ALL OF MY LLAMAS AND I'M LUCKY I ASO HAD THEM SORTED INTO PARTICULAR HOLDING PENS not to mention if I had a bunch of stuff in the chests on any of them, for transporting the items >:(

5:05 when you breed them, they are persistant and use a chest on them, then you can use a lot of them to carry more items, even more than a donkey

People complain about 1.20 update but with all the little updates it's pretty cool now.
Every wandering traders lamas should spawn with randomised carpet colours
komorebi, pokopoko and yakusoku are all Japanese, the composor is a Japanese composer. komorebi means "Sunlight filtering through the trees", pokopoko is an onomatopoeia for the sound a drum would make when you hit it, yakusoku means promise. (I googled these so some of them might not be accurate)

Dang Mojang is on it with music! I love Minecraft music so that’s cool u can enjoy it outside the game. Nintendo SUUUUUCKKKS at that. TotK was 10/10. 15/10 with music and there’s still no official soundtrack. Let that composer have his moment! The very first song in that game is a major part of what made that moment so memorable.

I first saw the name when I was playing GTA Online with my friend. I didn’t even know I had Minecraft on my PS5 but it I sure was excited.
I would like an update where there is more use for spider eyes, zombie meat, bones and bone powder, poisoned potatoes would be useful (this time, it's seriously, I know, to make potions or concoction of some kind) and the sales and purchases of marchands ambulants will also improve, which are very bad.

By now I feel like this update is almost as large as 1.16. It feels like the largest update to Minecraft since Microsoft took over the company.

I think the three discs are either Precipice Creator and Puzzlebox (not sure about puzzlebox) or Precipice, Creator, and Creator music box version. The second one would be good with my theory that the orange disc you get from a regular vault and the blue/green one you get from the ominous vault because the non music box version would be a better reward than the music box version. And the third one that’s tuff and copper/oxidized copper since that one looks like the trial chamber and it sounds like a fun song to play while in the trial chambers I don’t know if you’d get that from a vault/ominous vault or if it would be craftable like disc 5 but anyway yeah.
Also completely unrelated, they should change the color of the ominous trial key and ominous bottle to match the ominous banner since the orange color is labeled as ominous.
Anyway enough of my yapping.

I really prefer Terraria's painting system. You can find them in chests or structures as collectibles for decoration.
I do like how easy Minecraft's paintings are to craft, but it gets a little ridiculous having to break and replace a painting a million times to get the one you want.
Left click with a brush to change it, but instead of a random one it could just cycle through
