- I found this Austro-Hungarian buckle on the battlefield of the First World War. I decided to restore it. I liked the restoration of the antique buckle. I hope you like my restoration.

Гадаю, оцет був зайвий. Дуже нищить латунні вироби. Щіточки, пасточки, терпіння і було б ок'! Шкода, що лишаєте на позиціях рештки вогнепальної зброї. Нічого не дає такого задоволення, коли розворушиш затвор якогось манліхера, гевера чи С-97. Контент гут, досвід приходить ;) Удачі в пошуках, камраде!

First you take a new buckle. Then you throw it in mud for a week or two. Let it dry. Then, it will clean up very easily.

It’s a good restoration but why did you covered it in mud. We can see that same buckle in the drawer in your WWI lighter restoration video and it is perfectly clean.

Dude it’s totally the same belt buckle in the drawer. Oh, and military subdues belt buckles so the enemy won’t see them flashing a mile away. Only in dress uniforms are they shiny. FYI
@@TAG77 This is not the same buckle as in the drawer. I have a lot of them. In the original, it is as in the video. In the field, buckles were sometimes painted. The original photo of that time pin.it/TJcXFp2
@@ReXtorer yes, in the field they subdued them with either a matte green to match the environment around them or they did a cold bluing. Some soldiers use edge dressing. Looks like these soldiers weren’t in the field. They were ok break in dress uniforms. Dress uniforms all insignia and buckles were polished. It showed discipline and their accomplishments. That’s why they’re required to be polished and positioned just right on dress uniforms. I’ve met Hungarian soldiers, British, polish, Iraqi, and Kuwaiti. Every single country seems to have around the same regulations as the US army when it comes to subduing field rank and polishing dress buckles. That buckle was a field buckle you turned into a dress buckle. I could tell by the subdue paint on it or cold bluing. Which is still acceptable. You just have to tell weither you’re doing dress or field. Still did a good job. I’m just saying it looks exactly like the one in the drawer, but of course if your patrolling an old battle field you can find a good dozen.

@@ReXtorer me refiero a que en el video, al principio se ve que la hebilla es como plateada, y con el baño de vinagre se ve un liquido azul-verde, que creo que es niquel disuelto: [Ni (H 2 O) 6 ] 2+ , es posible que la hebilla no fuera de un soldado raso?, o que alguien la modificara en el pasado?
aunque es posible que se haya quitado parte del niquel del laton, y por eso luego tuviera aspecto como de cobre... pero al principio parece plateada. En fin, en cualquier caso, la restaruacion genial, y la pieza... una suerte tenerla en la coleccion.

I'm pretty sure that's a Russian buckle and not an Austro-Hungarian one. The double headed eagle is a Russian symbol.
This is the Austro-Hungarian buckle. The coat of arms of the Austro-Hungarian Empire is on the buckle.

Сода нейтралізує кислоту. Якщо кислоту не нейтралізувати, то вона буде впливати на метал з часом

@@ReXtorerЯкщо цікаво я для латуні використовував SARMA гель для ванн але обовязково з вмістом щавлевої кислоти результатом задоволений.Буде натненя попрбуй.Оцтом я не працював тому і питаюсь.
