i find it intresting how for optimus this transformation seems so natrual, that fusing with jet fire (and who knows with who else) was a core part of what he is. but when megatron.. sorry galvatron tries to do it he just dissasembles one of his minions before attatching them to himself with tape
I kinda like it tbh, like OP’s combination is him working seamlessly with his team to produce a really cool robot, but Megatron’s combination involves Tidal Wave literally tearing himself apart to attach himself onto Megatron, who refuses to change himself for someone else, even in a combination.
Especially with Tidal Wave somehow changing sizes throughout the series. By himself he’s treated/seen as the biggest (not-Unicron-or-Unicron-related) Cybertronian in Armada, bar none. Almost big enough to serve as the Unicron Trilogy’s version of the Nemesis, in fact. But when he combines with Megatron/Galvatron, he doesn’t look any bigger than a regular Decepticon.
@dynamoose7443 So they originally had him refer to Magnus as "Overload" in the dubbing at first before eventually addressing him by his actual name. I've no hate for the dubbing of Armada but sometimes it's weird, in an interesting way.

Why did optimus say: “ULTRA MAGNUS!” If the powerlink is overload?

Jetfire's gun that turned into a rocket thruster looks like it's also just, strapped there for some reason lol
It kinda shows there styles, like how Megatron just wants weapons but with Optimus hes becoming a coordinated soldier

Did he say "ultra Magnus"?
He did. I recently just watched the whole show and never saw where they introduced his guns. He kinda just appeared with them out of nowhere
So in Armada, Ultra Magnus are the guns?
It seems to be one of those dubbing errors. Optimus also called him "Overload" at some point as well.
@@unknownentity8489In Japan he was Ultra Magnus, in the US he was Overload. Definitely a dubbing error.
