I have 2018 cascadia with 600k miles & my egr cooler is still completely dry and barely has any carbon build up in it. This truck definitely was idled a lot to have egr in such poor condition.

most of the time the truck has been IDLED alot and thats why u have these problems.
I also have a 2018 cascadia with 490k and no issues.

Yes it $2500 and is on a back order it will take 6 months for freightliner to send one

Yo traigo un 2015 con casi 1000000 de millas I trae el original todavía le remplace los empaques pero le moví el egr actuarer I se descalibro I tuve que ir al dealer a que lo calibararan con la computadora

Is there suppose to be coolant in the egr or no? How else would you know that the egr cooler is bad if you are not losing coolant?

the coolant reservoir can start to turn black from exhaust gas
