Bloomington Curbside Cleanup 2019: Waste Management

- Every spring, Bloomington has a curbside cleanup. It’s done on five Saturdays corresponding with each route day. Prior to organized collection, Republic held the cleanup contract and trucks from all 3 yards would come out to help get everything taken care of. Now, each company collects in their assigned zones. Here is what Waste Management was running on the Friday routes - a number of CNG rear loaders on Mack’s and Autocars. Big thanks goes out to all of the crews for being so much fun to be around! Keep an eye on Minnesota Garbage Kid and TennisSanitationMan56’s channels for their perspectives.

Waste Management, this video was for entertainment, not intended to get the driver(s) in trouble. If there is anything wrong with this video, correct the driver(s) rather than punishing them, so they don’t make the same mistake in the future. I do not want any drivers to be punished because of what I am doing.
You just can't beat the McNeilus hopper system.
Great video I like the horn salute at the end.When I used to film garbage trucks sometimes another truck would come by and either stop or blow its horn at the truck I was filming nice.
Really solid video!! I loved all the shots with all three LEUs, that was so neat!! I really like watching the fast packers too, that was entertaining! That horn blare at 9:41 was awesome, always like when drivers do that. Very nice job, i can’t wait to see what else you saw at the cleanup!

Dude that's crazy Republic did the clean up for the entire city. Bet they're happy they only have to do their own zone now haha. New trucks but man do those LEUs look so good. I love that jumbo LEU and as usual, glad to see McNeilus' rather fast packer at work. I don't have much experience with RLs out here but I do think McNeilus makes a decent RL. And LOVE that ending clip!! That was awesome. Great video bro!

Hopefully they try and extract recyclables and not just landfill everything like the fence railing earlier and what looked like possibly a small fridge near the end?
Love coming back and watching this video, you did a great job editing and the clips with multiple trucks are just so cool. But I think the part that gets me still is the ending, one of the best clips on YT for sure!

In April 2019.... "isn't it ironic, don't you think..." with all these mixed materials getting churned up and mixed together it is highly likely the resources in this truck is going to landfill :( and not being reused, upcycled or recycled. "out of sight, out of mind and all that!":(
