Philippines prom alcoholic drinks are not allowed but still the youngsters enjoying their prom. Philippines proms are more safer than the U.S much more wilder.

Hello I just found your account and it's great that your kids were able to experience prom here in the Philippines. My own son also had his prom earlier this year. I was just amazed because the parents were allowed into the venue. But us parents weren't allowed by the school and I only got to see my boy to pick him up after the event. What I know is they had a formal dance and they also had a pageant of sorts because they had a ball-themed prom. Anyway, I hope they enjoyed ut. I can see that they are awkward when dancing but that is normal for kids and there are events like this to allow them to socialize with other kids.
Thanks for sharing. My advice to the Oliver and Lynn as well as all children reading this: Enjoy your childhood as much as you can and make the best of it. Life gets harder and more fast paced when you’re an adult. As adults, sometimes we fail and have to try things more than once or choose different paths altogether and start over. There is no “start over” for childhood. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. When you are all grown up, I hope you can look back on your childhood and smile. Give your future selves the gift of nostalgia. Keep making memories and enjoy your youth. What I’m saying might not sense to you now. But when you’re adults, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Just observation... When I was a public school teacher back in the Philippines, we used to kids the juniors and seniors have a 'cotillion de honour (quadrille or square dance)' to the vibe of various Waltz musical scores.
It seems the school of your children used modern music for the cotillion.

For College actually there are still events like this but it will be more like because it's the Anniversary of the University. For us, we call it GA back in my previous University but it is within your program and all of the students within that program (for example, Architecture students) from the very senior year down to the freshmen are invited and what we do is every year we have different concepts so it depends on the concept but there was one from Engineering department who had prom concept and they really did wear gowns and suits. But I promise it is more fun in College because there are so many events like bands go and perform to schools.

I remember my prom it was a fun night...❤🎉..this is a prom from private school that's why kind a serious.good thing is at the end they let the kids do what they want..but in public school its different 😅we are so playful and we did in the gymnasium until 12 midnight before,, and its like an open venue,,, anyways its good for them to experience that once in a lifetime experience..😊

@@hellophilippines513 prom are only for highschool but universities have lots of events students can enjoy but it varies from each universities, I think the main events in university are foundation day/school fair and UAAP (a yearly sport event mainly on basketball or volleyball and cheer dance competition of all universities).
