Fine example of a horror story that really shouldn't have been written in First Person perspective.
I think it was more effective in the first person than it would have been in the third person.
@@DocBree13 But if the dude turned into a monster, then who is he narrating the story to? And why is he telling the story as if he's a normal person if he apparently isn't? It just doesn't make sense to have him be the narrator. Besides, the point of first person perspective is that it's inherently subjective; it's meant for unreliable narrators telling stories where you're supposed to read between the lines. This one is a bit too straightforward for that, it really seems to read like a third person story.
Sounds like the beginning of a great horror story.

It's been said a million times but it's worth repeating. Never carry a weapon your incapable of using. Blades are very difficult, grab a flip baton and police mace or a .38. these things are almost idiot proof.
The power is out for our whole neighborhood. So these stories are much more creepy! Tho the constant ads suck ,when our family doesn't have the $ needed to block them.
You know a story is good when you are listening and catch yourself having raised eyebrows and gaspsing. I usually listen as I'm going to sleep and was about to take a nap but don't think I will now. I don't want to see the boogy man! Excellent narration!

So did his friend also become a thing like him or do they trade places with the person they bite on the neck I guess? This story shouldn't have been told from only his perspective it doesn't make sense since he wasn't human anymore to type this out and send it. You know like the traditional creepypasta fashion oh the survivor wrote this or I'm a vampire now so I can still write this. When you're already some cave dwelling the descent had a love child with a vampire monster you can't submit a story.
Yeah, pet peeve of mine too. If you call it a creepy pasta, follow the rules for a creepy pasta and make it plausible to have been posted. And scary. Nothing wrong with writing different things, but don't call them creepy pastas then.
