I wanted to be wrapped in the horror of it all, but i couldn't help but be enthralled with the commentary of the main character. The aimless disdain the character holds for his family practically stole the story. Enjoyable this one was.

Likewise, I started rooting for the guy by the end.
Man I was really hoping this would end up being a story where, due to the exposure he faced in his mothers womb during her time in the room, the MC was able to withstand the room and come out (relatively) sane and somehow end the curse. This was still rly good tho
So he ended up going crazy anyway? Stuck in the room?

Well for once i couldn't fall asleep, I've been laughing way too hard. Also this reminded me a bit of Slasher: Blood & Flesh, the series on Shudder i watched today.

CREEPY GHOST STORIES has been uploading like a madman lately! I recently started listening to "LEASH" on Audible again.
I enjoyed the story, thank you. There were a number of word substitutions that might have been because of the author, or not: just one is "emancipated body" which probably should have been "emaciated body".
Oh well, I thought maybe since he was in her womb when his mother went through it, that je was going to have some type of immunity.
Ahhh I remember this classic of yours, honestly one of the best stories you have. A truly delicious tale.

Great narration! You bring such great life to these characters and situations. The author also did a wonderful job with the tone and setting of the story, even though I didn't care for the ending at all. I get the sense that the set-up in this one was loosely inspired by "Ready or Not." This story had all the hallmarks of a story with great potential, only to sort of struggle and gasp at the end. There was some really great buildup along the way, with information drops and observations that felt like clues, but I'm sorry to say they were nothing more than red herrings and filler. And the final bit ends with a sad whimper rather than a bang. Given such a strong and interesting beginning, I was hoping for something... more.
