First Innings - - Allowed the Smith-Cummins duo to go from 350 to 474! (+100 runs extra in first innings) - Rohit flick-pull-catch-practice shot | nearly end of Day2 and we witness the Jaiswal runout saga initiating the "lapse of concentration" for Mr.Kohli apparently. - Pant was set again but had to do the "stupid-stupid-stupid" thing. - Washi-Reddy gave a hope Second Innings - - 4 Drop catches (Khwaja +15 runs ), (Labuschagne +30 runs), (Cummins +30 runs), (Lyon +35 runs) = 110 runs extra in the second innings - causing score leak and time leak in the match - 91/6 till 234/10 - Rohit was looking good, but a waste shot again. Jaiswal-Kohli were looking good, but again the addiction for outside off ball (funny how VKs wicket seems like a video game setup) and at the stroke of lunch!! - Grind again from Jaiswal-Pant. But Pant again threw away his wicket when team was in desperate need. Jaiswal too couldn't resist the tempter from Cummins. If you talk about the best competing teams - Whether it was last bgt in aus, or eng series in india in 2024, it was all youngsters punching above their weight to save and make India win. Perhaps, they dont have any baggage of reputation/ past performances. For starters, Smith & Kohli should swap their nicknames . Smith is now the Chikoo because he is bearing the fruits of his grit, discipline n skill while Kohli from past 5 yrs has been more of a Smudge on the face of indian cricket courtesy his shameless arrogance.
