    As an 80s kid, I’ve grown up watching cricket with all my emotions and seen India fail many times. But this time its different. The losses against New zealand at home and now here in Australia are not due to lack of skill or temperament. India is losing simply because of massive egos of Gambhir, Rohit, Kohli and Pant. I cannot justify spending my time or money on a team which places its egos above the country. Fans like me will return to this beautiful game when these things are sorted out. Until then 👋

      True. These thugs are killing this games just because there are many blind followers and commentators who still hail kohli as king, when even an LKG student will dismiss him. When they talk of rohit they take into account his ODI credentials ignoring he can't even see the red ball. Pity. Goodbye to cricket till these thugs are thrown out.

      Born in '88. From Steve Waugh and Ponting to Pat Cummins and all the Marshes and Finches in between, the Australian mindset is insane. As a kid in early 90s, I used to think that despite having individual greats (Sachin, Kumble, Dravid, etc etc), we are not a champion team. But some day, some day. Barring the 'aggressive' Ganguly era of early 2000s and Dhoni era of consecutive successes in ICC tournaments (the only place where it counts), I am sad to say we are back to square one.

    Every time Australia has defeated India, it’s been due to their mindset and process. It’s worth breaking down the differences between the Australian and Indian approaches. Australians don’t focus on labeling their players as legends, even though they’ve produced players arguably better than Kohli, Rohit, or Pant. Instead, they emphasize collective team effort. For them, it’s about commitment to the goal of winning, and they achieve it more often than not. Their belief in their own ability is unwavering. Personally, I would choose Australia’s winning percentage over celebrating so-called Indian "legends" like "RO-KO" any day.

    Critics of Rishabh Pant must acknowledge the increased pressure on him due to the top order's underperformance. He is now expected to consistently perform exceptionally well, leading to rushed, ill-conceived shots. This is a player who has delivered series victories, not just individual match wins. Dropping Rishabh Pant in Sydney would be a severely detrimental decision for Indian cricket's future. Shubman Gill has already compensated for Rohit Sharma's shortcomings; let us now protect Rishabh Pant.

    This series and the NZ series hurt a lot. Yeah, we have been batting poorly in tests for a long time. Ashwin, Jadeja, and Axar used to save us many times. Gill, despite getting numerous chances, can't cement his place or prove himself reliable. We are literally carrying VK. There have been too many chops and changes. KL Rahul's position is not certain, and our middle order is unsettled. Making GG the coach was not a good decision; he believes in players who are jacks-of-all-trades. I seriously think Ashwin has been treated badly; I believe he's the best spinner we have after Kumble. VK and Rohit have been given too much leniency; they skip test cricket whenever they feel like it. The selection in this series is questionable - who is Harshit Rana? Is there a KKR lobby influencing selections? We have been sweeping things under the carpet for a long time. Seriously, after Ashwin's retirement (he still has at least three years of cricket left in him), we will start losing test matches at home as well. I'm really disappointed; this loss hurts more than the 2012 8-0 loss. Back then, weren't used to winning, and our pace bowling wasn't that good. But this series.
    I dont give a damn about IPL
    Yeah earn a lot of money
    But plz save test cricket

    With almost same team Bumrah won us the Perth test after being 150 all out, and now you're telling Rohit Sharma is not being able to make this team play. Purely mentality is the major difference in both the captains. And, if you consider 140+ in both the innings by the tailender, then how can you win the match.

      @sarthakmehta6629 Месяц назад

      @soumyadeepmukherjee8878 I have a counter argument
      IND vs ban series coach was gambhir we won that easily because Bangladesh already down tha morale pe okay he was good
      Then sl vs Ind T20 series we all know how bad sl played so that we can win Surya last over me aake wickets le Raha tha yaar matlab isse bekar aur kya ho sakta hai
      IND vs sa series coach was vvs laxman we played really well and gambhir was not included
      Apart from that odi me bohot buri tarah haar Gaye sl se jo ki nahi hona chahiye tha he had to understand that bhai rest sabko lagta hai this is not your kkr and also he was clueless what to do ek acchi si team ko puri tarah dismantle kr diya jin logo ka batting order bohot saahi tha unko aapne alag thalag kar diya
      Then bgt hell no why Harshit rana when you had akashdeep he already played very well then why you picked rana just because vo kkr ke liye accha perform karke gaya
      Then pressurized Ashwin who could have turned the results of the series if he played last two test matches because they are like his home ground to him we already seen what he had done before
      Overall he is not a international coach material just because he played two big match winning knocks does not make him a good coach aise to tendulkar ko bhi coach Krna chaiye tha India ko vo to ek icon hai tv pe baith ke chillana tweets karna alag hota hai aur team ke saath baith ke sahi decision making karna alag hota hai

    In all this talk, we are totally forgetting ODI series vs SL! Lost 0-2 there as well. One was tied. The more imp thing is we were ALL OUT in all three matches and half the team was the same in that series. If we could not even bat 50 overs, I don't know on what hopes we went to BGT. We should've course corrected there itself and brought in Pujara and Rahane. Basically Rohit only has losses to his name since T20 WC.

They selected a team with limited capabilities even after the rout of 3-0 by New Zealand. They didn't even select a Test Specialist for the team. The blame should be shouldered by the team management and selectors along with the players.
