Yeah Bruce didn't actully see riddler there. The kid saw him first, which then bruce looked up. So maybe the kid might be a robin. MAYBE. Just a different story of one.
The way he feels for the kid, the way he relates to him, and looks to him, standing behind, as if representing a shadow of what future could hold for the boy; it's an absolutely beautiful shot scene.
This movie was so damn perfect. You could feel Bruce’s dread, hate, and worry though-out the whole movie. This was honestly like what the Arkham series did, and made some parts absolutely horrifying.
I agree. I saw it with my brother and told him somewhat in the movie that it feels like playing the Arkham games for the first time. And the underground thing kind of reminded me of the underground station at the museum with penguin
I love that at 2:22 the cell phone gets the call and everyone starts to panic and be horrified, but if you pay attention to Bruce he doesn't even move, showing that he is always in the Batman persona, leaving sideways his side being Bruce
He seems to be in the Batman persona for the whole scene except for when seeing the child and reverting back to Bruce, understanding his pain etc. Cannot wait for this movie, it's going to be brilliant.
In a comic, his real personality is batman, bruce wayne is just a mask, playboy, irresponsible, but its just to cover up his real self, which is his deep dark secret, he got mental illness and almost becoming a dexter from TV series, but yah in-depth, he is still a hero because he does not kill, and want the best for humanity especially Gotham.
From just a two minute clip I can already tell we’re getting a more comic accurate Batman. He’s completely quiet. The way a traumatized youth would react at a funeral. I could be wrong but I really like how this scene feels.
Yup. The modern touch is also nice. Worthless "activist" conning rich people by telling them "you're not doing enough good but fund my election so I can make real "change."" Jeez she's gonna be annoying. Who's the character?
@@GokulOnFire She's an original character created for the film I believe. Her name is Bella Real, she's gonna be a politician running for mayor since the current one was murdered by the Riddler, and who's funeral they're attending right now.
yeah hahah, my friends enticed me to watch this movie. I hadn't even viewed the trailer. And after the movie, i wasn't disappointed at all. The movie was dope! It literally had everything!
Love the atmosphere on this one already. The fact that Pattinson didn't say a word shows how much faith Reeves has in his story telling. This will be cinematically brilliant.
@@stocktonjoans Why would that be the case? Why would the guy who auditioned for Batman and given the job by the director, who explicitly stated that he had Pattinson in mind for his script, not be qualified for this role? If this was a critic, it was a poor one.
@@stocktonjoans Lol so sad I saw u wasting ur time to respond to countless comments of people just trying to be positive about pattinson and this movie, if you really hate pattinson and this film then don't bother yourself with it and let people enjoy it
@@stocktonjoans Then why did Reeves write the story with him in mind? Believe it or not but conveying emotions through you're eyes is a lot harder than doing it through dialogue. We've heard him speak in other trailers and TV spots and he sounds great. Also Bruce literally keeps a journal that read to the audience as voice over narration (the first Batman to ever do that in live action btw) So he'll be talking plenty
He did nothing of the kind. His performance absolutely freaking sucks here. This emotionless blank stare looks like he thinks he's still playing a dead, heartless vampire.
I really like how dark and grounded this version Batman is. He’s not wanting to be Bruce, only Batman. He is more of a detective and is secluded from the world and at this point wants to be alone. Going to be best film of 2022
thats what i said on reddit too. like even this whole scene he doesnt seem to be in bruce's persona at all. the only times he does is when he looks at the boy, and relates to his pain. Other than that. Always listening, always watching, still, calm, stoic.. I CAN'T WAIT.
There's one thing we haven't talked about enough and praised enough. It's what an amazing actor Robert Pattinson is in The Batman. He gave to this character something we had never seen in the previous incarnations of Bruce Wayne; a sadness, a fragility, a vulnerability that were so moving. I ADORE the fact that he never played Bruce as a charming playboy (which is something every actor who has played this part before did) but rather as a very grey, dull and insipid man. Just look at the funeral scene again. He's all grey, sad, depressive. His clothes are not elegant. Even the fact that he has longer hair shows how depressed he is, so tired of his two years as Batman, fighting for apparently nothing. And pay attention at Robert Pattinson acting in this scene. He doesn't say a single word and yet you understand every feeling he's having. It's an amazing performance and a very refreshing take on the character.
Pattinsom got tips from Bale. And also he realize in the end thst he needs to be a symbol of hope for gotham. We WILL see playboy bruce in a sequel because THAT is a mask for Batman.
@Christopher McGarry I don't know but... I can kind like this Bruce Wayne, tired depressed kind of tone. I just got bored with the playboy rich thing, I know it's his mask but I like this kind of change
well, since he is kinda young being Batman, is understandable, Bruce Wayne in this movie is kinda dead alive cause of the trauma of his parents murder. Only SPOILERS at the end of the movie he realizes he needs to be something more, being a beacon of hope for people, probably in both ways, like Batman and Bruce Wayne as well. With this statement he can become the philantropist he is later.
I'd actually suggest the opposite. The great thing about Batman isn't that he's afraid of nothing. If anything, that's the biggest lie about Batman you could ever say. The great thing about Batman is that he tries to hide his fear, it doesn't fool his enemies and that's why they exploit it. Beneath the suit is just a mortal man who believes he's immortal.
The ones that inspire the most fear are usually the ones that are most fearful themselves. Most people cant go up against a man that isnt afraid of his own fear ironically. You are taught since you are born in a way that makes you weak when you are afraid, even the "chicken" thing kids say to each other for fun,it sets you up to have that weakness
Reeves is a genius, the little details. I love how you can tell Bruce is still insecure about being “Bruce Wayne” to the public eye, moving slow and shy like a social recluse to his own city. It’s not until danger appears, you see his sharp head turns and his shoulders roll back, revealing the Batman in plain sight stepping up to the mark.
Didn't even notice that! That's crazy good detail and it's proven to be true especially with Bruce being Batman in the moment! This movie will be an absolute masterpiece and phenomenal film! One of the best Batman movies of all time is coming out!
@@Gadget-Walkmen Correct. Kal El plays Clark as an insecure, dorky wimp with poor posture and a stammer... the complete opposite of Superman. I see a lot of that duality in this version of Bruce, whereas other versions have portrayed Wayne's public persona as confident and egotistical.
When the cell phone rings and everyone thinks it’s the bomb detonating, is just fantastic attention to detail. The gothic Cathedral, the desaturated colors, the anxious music, and incredible face acting. It’s has the feel of reading a Batman Comic. 💯💯
You got it all right buddy, and that’s how this movie is gonna be, like reading a Batman comic vibe… dark vibes, this is already the best Batman ever bro hands down!!!
@@fisher9943 because he’s not comfortable having a normal life and causally socializing with people, he can only truly be himself as Batman which he clearly is in right now in this suit just without the suit on! This is a fantastic and realistic dark take for the character!
@@fisher9943 it’s a new interpretation OF Bruce Wayne where he’s more reclusive and not as social which is a brilliant take for his character! Bruce Wayne is usually portrayed as a light hearted play book who just goofs off and parties with women but in THIS movie, they are making bruce Wayne so reclusive to the point where he doesn’t fell comfortable around people as all he can think about is being batman and seeking revenge against crime as he’s so traumatized by his parents death that he can’t be anything else, and it’s a FANTASTIC interpretation of the character as that’s realistic and most likely how bruce would have ended up if his parents were murdered in front of him as a boy and he was so traumatized from it to his adult years that he doesn’t know how to be around people. All he wants to be is Batman, even when he’s not as you can clearly see him in that mode here.
The fact that Robert Pattinson established himself as a perfect Bruce Wayne without even speaking a single word in this scene proves that he was the right choice for Batman. Edit:- After watching the movie, the above statement is more accurate.
Yes! Microexpression has always been something that I seek while watching a movie, in terms of the aspect of the actor/actresses. If an actor can express their emotions clearly without needing to speak a single word, then you can see just how much the actor is able to connect with their role. And I always find that commendable and very impressive. I hope Robin Pattinson will be able to serve exactly that for this movie. I have high hopes and I'm really hyped 🙏
He's the perfect Bruce Wayne and Batman at the same time just like what people said about Tom Hollands Spider-Man only this time it's facts with Pattinosn,no other actor has pulled it off,Keaton was a better Batman and Bale was a better Bruce Wayne, but Pattinosn will be the best of both worlds
@@JLOCC23424 you are saying Keaton was a better Batman, when he literally just blew people up, burnt them down, with a smile on his face. If you’ve seen either of the last two Planet of the Apes films or Let Me In you’ll know that Matt Reeves just nails this type of slow-burning dread, AND he can also pull of action sequences that feel operatic and beautiful. And as much as I love the Nolan films, I’m excited for a vision of Batman that feels truly gothic in its visuals and mood.
@@peter_parker62 I love them greatly, highly a lot. Everything that Matt Reeves pull off with the latter two films was amazing. And that's mainly why I'm so in for The Batman because of him
Riddler was right there in City Hall the whole time. That shows how he’s in complete control and showed no fear of appearing in public. Appearing in public and calmly watching the chaos that he caused to unfold is exactly what the Zodiac Killer would have done.
I love how you can literally tell how Bruce is feeling when he’s looking at that little boy who’s (I’m assuming lost his parents) because Bruce has been in his exact position in his life plus not a single word said Robert pattison is brilliant as Bruce/Batman I’d go far to say that he could be as good as Christian bale as in this movie it’s his youth his anger and his emotions that play a key role in his character absolutely brilliant can’t wait to watch it on Friday
the synthesis between bruce and batman is really strong in this one. you can feel that there's basically a split personality within bruce, one that's very calm, almost whiny, and one that gives him the power to fully unleash the anger and brutality that is normally resting within him. with bale and its little cool nods you could still feel the bruce behind the mask, but pattinson fully transforms into a brutal machine when wearing the suit to the point of being characterwise unrecognizable as bruce. brilliant movie
@@krimo5700 Christian bale was unique as he brought a sense of seriousness to the character and a dark gritty tone as seen in the first movie (Batman Begins) the only other actor who showed this was Micheal Keaton the others not so much although Val Kilmer wasn’t bad but Christian is obviously
Its wb. Of coarse it will be complete trash. That is all wb is known for nowadays. It would be hilarious if they actually thought they made good products tho.
They’ve touched on this duality many times in the past in both comics and movies (Alfred going as far as hinting it is a monster) but the feeling is they will fully explore it this time - no doubt because its a younger Batman.
Bruce standing still, unflinching even as the phone rings and everyone dives for cover. That's when you know he doesn't need that suit to be the Batman; whenever adversity calls, he's already Batman. Bruce Wayne was there just until those screams emerged from outside the church. After that, the Bat takes over completely. Loved this film, hats off to Reeves and Pattinson. Gave us an incredible Batman and a very human Bruce.
Fr, as soon as he saw the riddler upstairs while everyone else ran away, his eyes lit up as if he never took off the suit. Idk, that just caught my eye. Very good acting by Pattinson. I agree with you 1000% percent. It’s like he remained Batman throughout this entire scene even though Bruce Wayne made the appearance. I love the hidden details like that. Makes the film even more great!
Everyone talking about patinson, but while its true he is doing awesome in this scene (the way his facial expressions convey trauma), for me the best thing about this is that this just screams gotham. The score reminds reminds me of a classic black and white noir and I have been waiting for a detective batman film since ever.
This whole scene sets the tone about this movie. It’s gonna be a torture ride for Bruce and a moral lesson as to how he should Balance being both Bruce Wayne and Batman. This is gonna be so fun to watch.
I honestly don’t get it. What is it about this Batman that’s so appealing? He comes off like the edgiest teenager. I literally cringed during the whole clip. I guess I’m just crazy, but How does no one else see that? (GENUINE question…)
Everything from Battinson's determined expression to how he carries himself is just great! The subtle look of guilt as he reads the envelope on Coulson's chest, just so good! This movie (and hopefully its 2 seqiels) will be exceptional!
Hearing screams get closer to you at a public gathering and looking up to see somebody watching expectantly would be terrifying in real life, and they play on it perfectly here. Riddler's silhouette gave me chills in the theater.
@@barry2349 I think you're overemphasizing. The screenplay literally implied everything itself. If anything the script and directing is doing the most here
@@leahscontemporary The directing and editing is doing a lot here. But the camera is one Pattinson for most of the scene. It's the subtle emotions that he gives such as when he looks up at Riddler at the balcony or when he looks at the card. It adds to the scene. Besides this is only the first half. The only thing he's supposed to do in this scene is save the kid. Later he suits up and comes back as Batman to save Gil Colson
I like how Martinez gives Batman such a hard time but he's nice to Bruce Wayne. The Commissioner and Gordon know their conversation is being heard, but they continue since they think of Bruce as a recluse. Belle Reál asking him to do more... earlier in the scene, Falcone remembering Thomas Wayne's son and the guy mistaking Bruce as there in protest... everyone has their own idea of who Bruce Wayne is. So does Riddler, who doesn't reconsider after seeing Bruce save the Mayor's son.
He's not though? He had five robins, three batgirls, and so many supporting characters around him. The Batfamily is actually one of the largest groups in DC comics. It's not super well known but Batman is really the opposite of a recluse since he's always surrounded by other superheroes- plus Alfred lol
@@renatab6938 year 2 batman never had any of them robins or batgirls bruh. What you talking about. @battinson is right. For year 2, reclusive nature is the most fitting and the best.
I agree. The idea of him being a playboy, fighting expert and the best detective in the DC universe all at once while still being only human doesn’t side with realism. All of his best villains are highly intelligent tacticians in order for him to always be one step ahead it makes more sense for him to be recluse drowning in his work and recovering from his wounds not chasing woman.
It's how he usually starts out. I read an article claiming that this was such a different take, but In Batman begins he started out being reclusive, but decided to play the drunken idiot billionaire Playboy after Alfred's suggestion.
I like how in almost every shot or frame, the camera is placed behind a piece of an object/person and they’re blurred out while the main subject is in focus. You’ll see a blurred object(s) in the foreground, like in the corner, but you still see what we’re supposed to be focused on. I love it. Can’t wait to see other incredible shots.
@@shravan1010 lmao that’s not what all movies do. There aren’t a lot of movies that have scenes like that where the placement of the blurred objects are intentional. Notice it happens more with the still shots. Not every still frame in a movie does the same thing. Nice try tho.
@@RicJiang you clearly didn’t understand what I was saying or you really think all movies have 3 objects blurred in front of the camera while the person is in focus lol. All movies don’t do that. Especially not with every still moment.
This dude needs to win an Oscar already. What a versatile actor. His performance in The Lighthouse was mindblowing, and this film looks like it's going to blow as well!
After seeing The Lighthouse in theaters about two years ago , the first thing that popped out of my mind was “Oh yeah, Robert Pattinson will be a great Batman!” Such a great movie! “If I had a steak…”
On the one hand, it could just show his fearlessness, but on the other, it could also show he has somewhat of a death wish. He’s an extremely depressed person, so I wonder if that’s something they’ll touch on in this film. “Such darkness, such pain… how do you cope?” “…I have a butler.”
Dear God. It looks so good. Feels unbelievably dark and gritty in the best ways possible. That staredown between Bruce and the Riddler, so cold and calculated, just amazing. March can't come fast enough!
I just noticed that when Gordon made eye contact with Bruce, Bruce looked away, almost as if he was worried that Gordon would figure out he is Batman since he is the only one who has made close contact with him more than once. Subtle detail there and shows why the playboy persona was made
Yep. It's like he keeps catching himself acting like Batman when he's in Bruce mode so he'll decide to create that persona for Bruce as the movies go on.
After rewatching it many times if you also notice when he sees the mayor's son the mayor's son barely looks at him but when they see each other after the murder they have a long connection. Also I believe the first guy that was trying to get by is actually part of the Riddler's group, and the second guy is also in the group, that talks to Bruce without realizing it is the same guy that says vengeance after he gets beating up. He even talks about how his daughter is dead and blames the mayor in the rich people. Of course you also see the police officer that doesn't like Batman at first but says hello Mr Wayne right away.
I didn’t think this scene would look THIS beautiful. This scene exceeded my expectations. Hopefully the rest of the movie will do the same for me and other people.
One of the best Superheroes of the decade so far. But looking at marvel and DC that is not saying much unfortunately. But this is the standard to beat.
2:21 The way everybody goes down at the sound of the ringing tone except Bruce, you could almost taste the terror in the air and the fear trumbling in their loud cries !!! Given the fact that he said zero words in this scene shows you how this Batman is different, he is more reflective. The bat casts his shadow by his mere presence without any mask.
I just love Rob's performance here, he encaptures Bruce Wayne in his first years as Batman, still suffering from the trauma and he relates to the boy, struggling on who he really is and who is the mask
The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a very fast building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy
I loved the shot of Bruce seeing the Riddler staring at him before the car crashes into the building and then he disappears when Bruce looks up again. March can't come soon enough.
Everyone is talking about how Bruce's silence matches the comics but I still think it's interesting how Real speaks to him. On the one hand, she quickly fills in the gaps of conversation like most smooth-talking politicians; discussing business/philanthropy at a *funeral* On the other hand, she still wants to convey her respects to the mayor's son, which is good of her. It also shows how Real sees the need to use wealth and business to help others, which was a nice touch of characterization for her; shows how Bruce was more focused on being Batman than a Wayne in the Gotham community, imo. Idk, all in all, I just thought it was an interesting exchange that realistically showed how those who have experienced a traumatic death view funerals differently from those who have not.
I really like how they're clearly leaning into the self-destructive aspects of Bruce. There has always been this underlying motivation in the comics that Bruce doesn't want to live, but rather, he's on a suicidal mission to free himself from the pain and guilt that he suffers from losing his parents. No wonder he has no fear during this scene: he doesn't care if he lives or dies. Makes perfect sense considering this version is based on Kurt Cobain.
@@pipebombmailer78 It's a fascinating point and I think it makes sense psychologically, especially for people who may be self-loathing as they tend to find it easier to care for other people rather than themselves.
THIS is why Matt Reeves is the director for The Batman. Without a single word being uttered from Bruce Wayne, we not only see this play out from his POV but Robert Pattinson's facial expressions say everything without him saying nothing. Get ready for something truly game-changing.
Seven is one of my all time favorite movies and I'm so excited to finally see a Batman movie where they incorperate that genre. It's brilliant since Batman is foremost a detective.
What’s amazing about Pattinson in this scene is that he doesn’t speak a single word but he’s speaking a thousand words if you get what I mean. One of the most underrated actors today. Stoked he’s the new Batman. He nails it tbh

@@stocktonjoans The kid is literally standing in the center. Look at the shot where Bruce brings him down to the ground. The back of the car would have hit him.
Trust me a lot of us already do Battison, Batfleck and Bale Have three amazing interpretations of Frank Miller’s Dark Knight if you ask me. Bale had great middle Batman in his prime version that knows who Batman is. Batfleck has done it all and isn’t holding back anymore this being darker but still a man on a mission. And now Battison is about to kill it with a very early dangerous and emotional one who we need to learn justice not vengeance. I can’t wait for this movie 😀
@Dark ghost of the knight my mother said the same as well. Just because she don’t like it I wouldn’t watch it. The only movie I watched with Robert Pattinson is twilight and I would love to see how he does with Batman. The worst Batman actor was Ben affleck so I’m hoping for the best with Robert.
The cinematography and the build up towards the car ramming the cathedral ... If this goes as expected Robert Patterson will be the best live action Batman to ever grace the cinema.

Oh and he's also facing off against Paul Dano, this movie will elevate superhero films to a whole other level.
Reeves staying with Bruce and his POV along with all the people inside the church the entire scene while the car racing toward the church without any cuts to the outside of the building... The character-driven storytelling that we are probably going to see in this film is very well shown here as an example. Also, I love how he doesn't have a single line and it's all is up to Rob's gestures.
Nice attention man, some of these things can go to the back of our heads but man you can really just feel it there. I'm really excited for this movie and the direction. A cut of the car and more attention to the explosive situation rather than the focus of the character is something Nolan would have done, not really a fan of that.
This movie is a combination of ‘SE7EN’, ‘Silence of the Lambs’, ‘Zodiac’, ‘Prisoners’, with a touch of the Arkham series and ‘Batman: The Long Halloween’ comic
Proof we don’t need flatly shot, shot for coverage CGI clusterfucks to keep our cinematic attention. Style is more than possible in the superhero genre
I get chills from seeing the way Robert looks at the riddler at 1:20 with the realization written all over his face while the string music creeps in. The way the crowd screams when the phone rings feels so real too. This movie is going to be a masterpiece.

Loved it but I didn't understand one thing. When Bruce saves the kid, the car's trajectory was in a different direction. It appeared to me as if it wasn't going to hit the kid. Is it some error the makers made or is it just a wrong judgement on Bruce's part, though it'd be more realistic that way. Trying to protect a kid regardless.
@@arishemthejudge6780 it looked like the back of the car was going to hit the kid..possibly Bruce thought that the child won't be able to react to the car in that situation.. which is why he made that call..
For the first time I can confidently say someone finally understands the Batman mythos, and that is Matt Reeves. While this movie is more grounded like the Nolan films, It still looks and feels like a comic book movie. The atmosphere, the cinematography, the set design.. it looks like a drab and disgusting world that desperately needed a Batman. Like most people I enjoyed the Nolan trilogy, but after Batman Begins, Gotham just started looking like a generic city. Gotham has a certain kind of noir vibe and architectural design that makes it actually look like GOTHAM. Not to mention, Rob's portrayal here is absolutely PERFECT. He hasn't yet cared to develop his Bruce Wayne identity, therefore the way he acts and moves is like he's always in Batman mode. This movie is going to be a instant classic.
I want someone to do the same thing with Spider-Man. A "Matt Reeves" of sorts. Not the same style, no not at all. No, I want someone who is putting the same love, passion, and knowledge of the property to do a take on Spider-Man. You can tell through the trailers and his overall body language in this scene that Pattinson's Batman isn't just a sociopath or purely "angry" person. He seems to be more of a dangerously passionate, vindictive but nevertheless sincere person not unlike a character from a Dostoevsky novel.
I haven't seen the movie, but I LOVE this version of Bruce Wayne, this quiet, reserved, shell of a man is such a breath of fresh air for this side of the character. EDIT: Saw the movie, all I have to say is that it's my favorite Batman movie of all time.
I love how we’re not seeing riddlers face in any of these trailers. That makes the anticipation higher for him as a villain. This movie is gonna be so legit! #TheBatman
Paul Dano is literally perfect for the riddler, they're holding back his performance from trailers for a reason. Hate all you want but he may rival Heath Ledger.
You may be right! I love the new direction they're going with this riddler! Reminds me of Jigsaw and John Doe(Se7en). I hope Paul Dano will not just be a masked killer throughout the whole thing. Even though I love the mystery of that, I want to see the dramatic and theatrical side to Paul Dano's acting. But I have a good feeling about his Riddler regardless!

I’m honestly comparing Bale vs Pattinson. They are neck and neck right now.
Pattinsom got tips from Bale. And also he realize in the end thst he needs to be a symbol of hope for gotham. We WILL see playboy bruce in a sequel because THAT is a mask for Batman.

at the end of the movie he realizes he needs to be something more, being a beacon of hope for people, probably in both ways, like Batman and Bruce Wayne as well. With this statement he can become the philantropist he is later.
The realism is terrifying. And how Bruce is just standing there with no fear is badass
I saw this on exact word to word comment in the other comment section, was it you?😂
I'd actually suggest the opposite.
No. He feels fear. He’s just fearless: embraces it
The ones that inspire the most fear are usually the ones that are most fearful themselves. Most people cant go up against a man that isnt afraid of his own fear ironically. You are taught since you are born in a way that makes you weak when you are afraid, even the "chicken" thing kids say to each other for fun,it sets you up to have that weakness
No Fear? Bruce looks terrified there, when he realizes that if Batman doesn't pick up the phone, the guy bomb will explode killing an innocent person.

He even talks about how his daughter is dead and blames the mayor in the rich people. Of course you also see the police officer that doesn't like Batman at first but says hello Mr Wayne right away.
That scene is spectacular, Gordon looks at him and directly thinks of nothing. He is another person to him, not his detective partner.
This honestly looks like most Batman movie ever, beautiful and absolutely gorgeous
100% Agree. this movie WILL be a masterpiece and phenomenal!
I didn’t think this scene would look THIS beautiful. This scene exceeded my expectations. Hopefully the rest of the movie will do the same for me and other people.
@@thedarkknight5239 It will. The will look phenomenal based on what we've seen from the trailers already.
1:11 Only Bruce looks back to make sure the boy is still there and the way he does that is priceless.
1:18 was on the edge of your seat, the score was on point of suspense. Pattinson not saying anything shows that he fits the role perfectly
MASTERPIECE.
A PIECE OF ART.
WE NEED MORE MOVIES LIKE THIS.
You’re damn right we do!
This movie take place in second year batman btw
The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a very fast building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy
I loved the shot of Bruce seeing the Riddler staring at him before the car crashes into the building and then he disappears when Bruce looks up again. March can't come soon enough.
I just hope the Riddler don't be a different version of The Joker
@@dredaylarue what does that mean, riddler in this isn't anything like the any version joker
@@barry2349 That means I hope it's not I have a feeling the Riddler's gonna have a joker feel to him
Everyone is talking about how Bruce's silence matches the comics but I still think it's interesting how Real speaks to him.
Very interesting point. I bet we'll see more of an active philanthropist businessman Wayne in the next film.
@@tylergroves9049 Thanks; I'm down for that too
“I wouldn’t be bothering you here, but your people keep telling me you’re unavailable.”
He says in a scene: I don’t care what happens to me
And then ironically tells Catwoman to not throw her life away.
@@pipebombmailer78 It's a fascinating point and I think it makes sense psychologically, especially for people who may be self-loathing as they tend to find it easier to care for other people rather than themselves.
@@pipebombmailer78 hmm, its obvious batman is a closet simp…
Yeah this version of Bruce is nihilistic.
Wow I didn’t even think about the correlation. So true!

What’s amazing about Pattinson in this scene is that he doesn’t speak a single word but he’s speaking a thousand words if you get what I mean. One of the most underrated actors today. Stoked he’s the new Batman. He nails it tbh

Bale had great middle Batman in his prime version that knows who Batman is.
Batfleck has done it all and isn’t holding back anymore this being darker but still a man on a mission.
And now Battison is about to kill it with a very early dangerous and emotional one who we need to learn justice not vengeance.

My mom hates Robert Pattinson as Batman
@Dark ghost of the knight my mother said the same as well. Just because she don’t like it I wouldn’t watch it. The only movie I watched with Robert Pattinson is twilight and I would love to see how he does with Batman. The worst Batman actor was Ben affleck so I’m hoping for the best with Robert.
He's gonna make silenced haters the way Heath Ledger did
The cinematography and the build up towards the car ramming the cathedral ... If this goes as expected Robert Patterson will be the best live action Batman to ever grace the cinema.
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight set that standard very very high. If The Batman can that level this'll be incredible.
3 minute scene and we don't hear his voice once.....beautiful
This entire scene has sold me. This is now my most anticipated movie of the year. Bravo.

Just came from the cinema and I loved this movie. Didn't expect Robert Pattinson to be that good as Batman. A must-watch indeed!
He was amazing. I’d say he’s the best Batman yet. At the beginning, I wasn’t sure, but I loved him as the film went on.
God, Robert Pattinson is such a masterful actor the way he could portray rigid stoicism and utter concern for what's about to happen while feeling powerless without uttering a single line is just a sight to behold. Oh and he's also facing off against Paul Dano, this movie will elevate superhero films to a whole other level.
He’s freaking everyone out without even saying a word. This is going to be a world classic trust me
Reeves staying with Bruce and his POV along with all the people inside the church the entire scene while the car racing toward the church without any cuts to the outside of the building...
The character-driven storytelling that we are probably going to see in this film is very well shown here as an example.
Also, I love how he doesn't have a single line and it's all is up to Rob's gestures.
There were most definitely cuts but I see what you mean though.
@@pab1381 Cut to outside of the interior place. Like showing car running and entering from outside.

It’s so good we can see that he realizes that’s who is creating chaos just by the way he looks at him. Rob is great
What I love about Riddler is that he doesn't want to be a criminal, he just want to prove to everyone that he's "smarter" than Batman.
Which, unfortunately for him, he isn't. I hope they showcase Bruce's brilliant intelligence in this movies like they did a little in the Dark Knight trilogy .

@@spider-man500 100% agreed man. I know exactly what you mean.

@@BeWiL0991 Not exactly sure.
All I know is thay I want someone who could truly bring in a Spider-Man series that truly adapts the comics(Mainly 616) into a modern era.
Not where they make changes to the character that they claim would fit a modern teenager or modern hero(Daddy Stark Relationship, Super diverse cast for no reason, naive and irresponsible kid yadda yadda). I mean literally bringing 616 into a modern world, where certain aspects can be fleshed out better and included because it is within a modern world.
Something like what PS4 did.
Lol, I have already kinda made the story up for this in my mind.
When people bemoaned his casting as Batman I laughed them off. How can you judge someone who's turned out to be a great actor because you're sore about Twilight? He’s done so much more since then. I am willing to bet that if this movie does not do well, it won't be because of Pattinson. I hope the movie does well.
True
Every movie about politics, detective or serial killers are rated high ( seven and v for Vendetta for example) Hush and Batman Halloween are considered as some of the best comics
Remember when people bashed Heath Ledger´s casting as the Joker? Good times.
I was stoked to hear he was cast. So unexpected! I've only watched his more recent stuffs...have you seen The Lighthouse?
I remember when people knew - for a fact - that superhero films would be ruined because the guy who directed "Beetlejuice" was going to be doing a Batman movie starring Michael "Mr. Mom" Keaton - with music by the leader of Oingo Boingo.
You can tell through the trailers and his overall body language in this scene that Pattinson's Batman isn't just a sociopath or purely "angry" person. He seems to be more of a dangerously passionate, vindictive but nevertheless sincere person not unlike a character from a Dostoevsky novel.
YES! Bruce has some traits of Raskolnikov for sure. He's not far away from personality of ideological murderer with noble heart
