- Today's update is primarily about some small projects I have been working on, a few cars I painted and decaled, hopefully next week I'll be building some benchwork and working in the new town finalizing the track plan for the Industrial Belt Line.
Since that area is green foam, flat and in Oho how about Greenfield?
That’s a great name, I shall consider it.
99. 0/0 alcohol should take the decals off
That works too.
0:24 are these Stewart,MDC or other ? 2:05 yeah, I know a couple guys that would pay for a V&O freight car (never thought to paint the board). 4:44 what paint did you use for wheels ? 8:38 Deluxe Materials Liquid Gravity would do great on these models.Enjoyed your video. Thank you Fren.
The ore cars are roundhouse kits, I used a tester color called rust for the wheels, I need to go over them with a flat tan and they will look better. I’m glad you liked the video my friend.
Here is a list off the top of my head of coal mine towns in SE Ohio that no longer exists so you don’t really have to be prototypical.
Moonville,Vinton Furnace,Kings Station or King Hollow, Crabapple,Canaanville,
Floodville,Eclipse,Georgetown,Egypt,Post Boy,Anvil,Maynard, Holloway,Barton,Stillwater, Dillonvale and Duncanwood where my Grandfather is from. Once was the biggest town in Belmont County completely gone. after the town was raised in 1949 I was completely stripped mined you can’t find nothing today from the old photo I have. even the typography of the land has changed just the old RR Row is only thing that’s left. Hopefully this help So many forgotten long gone town in SE Ohio
Wow that’s a a lot of info sad to know entire towns are just gone.
In your Thumbnail, you showcase a very nice pair of Fairbanks Morse C-Liner Cab Diesels.
Yes Sir, these proto1000 models are awesome, they’re heavy and pull anything on the drawbar.
How about junction city for your new town
That’s a good one. I shall consider it.
I love these kinds of videos, Rob! It's great to nose around other people's work benches
I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun video to shoot.
Awesome job on the box cars they absolutely look amazing!
Thank you. I’m amazed by them. Hard to believe I can do work like that.
Hi Rob & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Rob & Friends Randy
Thanks Randy.
That car looks amazing!!!!!
Thank a lot. I appreciate that.
I absolutely love your layout!!!!
Thank you, it will be magazine worthy in a few more years.
I like your work pretty good but honestly it's an old updated car it's really not worth $75 or $80 as you say maybe do an action if someone really wants it they might do $30. Plus shipping but ... I really wouldn't, nice box car but I see new for like $ 45. But try it , good luck bro... Again been following you since you started and you came along way .. keep up that great work
Then why didn't you buy the one you've seen for $45?
I'm not trying to start a war here.. but I absolutely snear at those who present the "I saw one cheaper " argument in hopes that someone will cave and just hand it over. I'd burn my trains in the front yard before I handed a one-off piece of work for next to nothing. It's not a yard sale.
@@Nscalestuffexactly. I would have told him to f off. This is his channel and he can ask what he wants. People to nice out here.
