Per Laursens is one of the very few layouts I'm impressed with. Its not cluttered with redundant track everywhere, curves followed by more curves, decently fast trains and modern era of course.
Crossing gates malfunction at 2:06 better notify BNSF maintenance . Lovely layout, and the story of the train and more. Crossing gates a little slow at 4:20 LOL
This might be my favourite layout to watch your videos on. Per Laursen really did a fantastic job on his layout. Those buildings and details really make it come to life.
I'm a UK modeller and this was so fun to watch! I appreciated the voice over explaining what was going on - so thank you! I was recommended your channel by Western Signalman and it hasn't disappointed!
1:28 I don’t know why but the train just seems so real, and I thought you added a real train in the background while you had the trucks laid out in the grass😅
Love the layout and your scenery and detailing. One of my subscribers mentioned your channel. Glad I found it. Lots to binge watch. He also mentioned you have a good video on making an abandoned track. Could you post a link? I’ll look for it also. Thanks. Looking forward to watching your posts. Paul B

I love the real sound dub over! Makes it more real!!! I have a video of a Norfolk southern train starting from a dead stop , to rolling speed , I want to dub it over using my ho scale Norfolk southern train, any pointers on how to edit the video to make it happen? I need help lol
Hello ,very amazing layout ,nice trains. One question please; I use JMRI for my locos in DCC,but it's impossible to synchronize the same speed for 2 locos ,always one run faster .what systeme you use for run exactly at the same speed ? thank you so much for your answer ,have nice day ,at all modelers ,see you soon .
All the sound effects, are they from the built in speakers in the rigs or are there additional speakers within the benchwork that supplement or produce the actual sounds?
Hey hope this message finds you, do you know what can motor scale trains uses in there locomotives or where to buy them, I have contacted scale trails but no luck. Thanks!
It's so refreshing to watch a model train being run at a realistic speed for a change! Putting aside all the trains we see at shows which are run too fast, what I'm getting tired of are all the operators who run their trains too slowly! There's some sort of false sense in the hobby that the slower you run your train, the more "serious" you are. Yeah, but no. This video shows the correct speed.
What recommendations do you have for fixing the brake hoses on cars that keep getting caught in switches or stopping on crossovers. I have several cars giving me issues and I can’t get them to bend out of the way and was hoping to fix them for flawless running
If this was a Houston to Fort Worth train, it most likely wouldn’t be loaded unless it was coming from the PTRA North Yard. From there, it would be G-PTNNYF. However if it came from the BNSF Houston Yard it would have been empty and thus X-HOUNYF.
Not to be a foamer or anything but that would not be a correct symbol for a bnsf grain train as bnsf symbols use three letters for origin and three fir destinations. For example Z-SSECHC would be z train(high priority intermodel) south Seattle to Chicago Cicero yard.
I disagree, I think the dubbed sounds help add immersion to the video and realism to the layout. Also it hides anyone having conversations in the background that would definitely distract from the art of this gorgeous layout.

I could watch a full length feature film of this stuff.... Excellent!
My favorite HO Scale layout - undoubtedly. Just so incredibly realistic on a modern timeline.
Arguably the best HO scale layout I’ve ever seen. Love the modern feel and keeps the track to scenery and other aspects real and not overcrowded.
Crossing gates malfunction at 2:06 better notify BNSF maintenance . Lovely layout, and the story of the train and more. Crossing gates a little slow at 4:20 LOL
From TX can confirm that is prototypical behavior
I think Billy the brakeman, should have been out flagging that one crossing at 2:06. Don't know if there is a weed weasel looking for a easy OOS.😂😂
I like the tamping machine. I hadn't seen a functional one in scale models before. Your layout is impressive too.
This layout, and the way you film it, makes me feel like a kid again, filled with wonder and imagination. Thanks for posting!

If a bit more light was added to make it seem like sunlight then I wouldn’t think it was models. Excellent video and excellent work😊

I like the longer shots of the full train, no skipping or switching scenes. Really cool otherwise, great work
Great! More footage from one of my favorite layouts.
Nice one Josh...good to see the Utah Belt action. All those fast food signs and places, sure make a railfan hungry.
Next time.....Later 👋
So fun to railfan!!! Thanks for the awesome video!
Great layout and video. Well done.

Very cool. It is so real it's crazy.
Beautiful layout.
Hi Josh. Really enjoying this series as the coal train works its way east.
Have an awesome day!
This one with John Parker are my 2 favorite layouts
Great video capturing action on a great model railroad. Thank you! Mike
Great to see, hear and enjoy. Thank you, I felt like getting off the coal train for a waffle!

I like it just the way it is. Miss my HO set up , sold it all when I needed my first car. 😮💨 .
BNSF grain train is my favorite cool layout
Man what a layout u have
That ballast tamper looks awesome!! Do you know who makes that by chance?

We nicked named these grain trains earthworms a long time ago. We still had cabooses on the rear of the trains.
This is incredible. 👍
Brilliant 😊

I'm working on mine hope it turns out as good 😊
Very Nice!
Very nice video Josh. Just a quick thought, when will the next video on your layout be next? (No rush or anything, just wondering)
Is it just me, or does the scaled velocity of the BNSF loco seem a bit fast? A few railroad crossing barriers had timing issues, too!
How much does the Model Earthworm weigh? The layout looks incredible. Love the cinematography!

Utah Belt! Who makes the rail tampering machine, I’ve never seen anything that that before.
AWESOME!💯🌏👍
❤ Awesome 👍😎
I would like another one without the skipping of the train
I thought I've seen that layout before
😂😂😂The MOW ! Nice

They are edited in
Why did the gates go up in waycross when the train is still in the crossing?

Exactly. It's like every layout I see is just curved track and 10 MPH trains.....booooring.

Bend up the tips or cut them off. They make a pair of plyers specifically to bend things like this.
Griswold at 2:01.
Where did you get the mow service train at ?
BNSF actually used 3 letters for their city codes instead if 2.
Who makes the working tamper looking to get one for my layout
Does it go through Bastrop?
Hey Josh

Live train sounds dubbed over annoying and takes away from the model aspect. Otherwise the layouts are amazing

Not as annoying as the music tho

There's police in front of the Waffle House. Another incident? 😛
There's only 1 thing missing the graffiti on the grain cars..only because I see it every day at work🫡
