Since it says EVERY entry gets at least 300 moonstones, I don't really care if people submit random things just to cash in. The ones with more effort will get better votes anyway, so I doubt someone will take a higher prize for a lazy pic. I just hope the voting is more random. Like I hope you can't just search for the person you want to vote for.
I want an update where they add batch cooking like they do with selling. Esp on switch. The buttons for doing this are really inconvenient and annoying 😢
I can't wait for a mass cooking option!! But honestly, the cooking in switch is so much easier than the PC version, which doesn't have any hot keys. So when I need to make a bunch, I use my switch and watch my shows and spam press - + A lmao.
@@InferiSirius When I do cooking on the switch, I do change to a different controller so the buttons are actual buttons. But I wish they'd make it easier bc even with this, it's just annoying lol
The premium shop also sells outfits and skins not just decorating
I feel this is getting implemented now to lessen the blow when they start adding DLC characters, realms, and more dream styles. No matter, I look forward to any content my favorite games bring in.
The more updates they bring out, the faster my game completely crashes, it is annoying but I'm hoping its going to be fixed
I am sorry you are experiencing this. I play with my DDLV account mostly on my laptop and Steam Deck. I only use my old OLED switch for DDLV when I need to travel because it is lighter and I just use it to check into the Scrooge shop and doing minor clean up. Otherwise I use my laptop and Steam Deck (Bday present) for decorating. I have maybe had my game freeze less than 4 times on the Switch and never on the Steam Deck or laptop which I have upgraded memory on.
many crashes when we get updates but one thing I have found to do save frequently. If you play a lot with ne update, the switch tends to get hot and you have to give it a break. I don't understand why this is with switch because mine does not crash on any other game. zelda tears of the kingdom has a ton of graphics and a ton of really flashy scenes and fighting and I can play for hours and not single crash ever. I don't understand it but with DDLV you have to let it rest and save often.

The bug thing is annoying because they could be releasing mini updates in between the big ones to fix the issues instead of catching everything in the big updates and then having to deal with the new bugs the update will bring
I'm a Switch player, and I think it's a good thing that Nintendo accepted the refund as it will make Gameloft accountable for the lack of bug patches since launch, especially on Switch. Updates are one thing and we should not be waiting for months and next update to have a bug patch, no matter which platform we play. There was another post with the same refund story a few weeks back, and the player was more angry than this one about the issues on Switch.
I play since launch and had a lot of crashes at first, then it was better after Scar update until the previous one where my game only crashed when I was decorating for a long time or trying to design a 50 layers dress😅. But I was ok about it. Now since the fairy Godmother update, it crashes every 30mn max for nothing. I don't even decorate or design. I just hang around trying to finish the last friendship quest I have. It's so sad because I used to love that game and play daily. Now it feels like a chore. I paid 70€ for the Ultimate pack on day 1 because I thought it would be the best game of all time, and now I almost don't play anymore. I know I could pay another game on PC, as my BF has a gaming PC but I don't want to, as I already paid my share for this game and I want Gameloft to do something! I'll be waiting for the free to play update to move my save and decorate my valley from there. I'm still hopeful devs will do something about it before the full release 🤞

That second post you read comments from (the one that was mostly negative) was posted before the Q&A they put out! Once the Q&A came out they made the 2nd post and got the positive comments :) I, personally, can’t wait!
Ofcourse it didn't take us 10 months to figure out it's not working for us on Switch. But the positive thinkers among us realised it was still in Beta fase and assumed they would fix most issues. If anything we deserve a little credit for having 10 months of patience 🤷♀️ Don't get me wrong, i did not ask for a refund but i am very disappointed that nothing was fixed yet new content keeps being added. And if you have a pc but bought it on switch because you wanted to play it on the go or handheld in bed, i think it's very reasonable to ask for a refund to then give them the money back by buying it on pc to have a better experience. I don't own a pc so i'll have another 10 months of patience and hope they will eventually fix the biggest issues.
SteamDeck takes care of the portability desire, and it's not much more than a Switch....and 1000 times better. Perhaps when Nintendo brings out the next Switch that's equivalent to the PS4, it will curtail these issue.
Or let it be transferred for free from switch to pc. I got it on switch because I didn't have a pc at the time but now have pc and the switch version crashes often even when I have only played for not even 30 min.

It's like buying electronics off Amazon and trying to return to Micro Center for a refund.
Star Man, I so appreciate your takes. It seems like the majority is upset with just about every little thing, and you and our community keep this rational, nuanced, and fun.
Gameloft continually and regularly gives us updates and new content. It feels like people have very little patience for how much work this all takes or just how much the developers listen to us compared with most games.
We paid for early access, lots of moonstones, exclusive items, and to be beta-testers for a game that isn’t out yet. We’ve gotten freebies as early access members and our input affects the final outcome of the free-to-play release.
Of course, negative experiences are more often vocalized than positive ones. Perhaps there is a larger, happy percentage of people who don’t post because they are content.
I do also wonder if the player base of this game is less familiar with video games in general. As someone who has long been very invested in a multitude of games and genres, everything Gameloft has done is very normal to me. I’d argue Dreamlight Valley is more generous than most early access, free-to-play, micro transactional, beta testing games.
I’m not saying I agree with every choice Gameloft has made thus far and that I don’t have any criticisms, but this is one of few games I’ve consistently played for almost a year straight. I paid $74.18 usd for the ultimate edition of this game and feel I’ve gotten my money’s worth and probably more for the last ~10 months as well as finding this community.
If you’ve read this whole thing, thank you and thank you for being a part of a community that means so much to me.
I'm personally so excited to see dream snaps come out! 😊 ... but, as a switch user, a decorating contest sounds frustrating. Maybe they will fix our item limit? 😅
I’m a switch player and I haven’t even started decorating only few bits here and there but nothing major. How do you find the crashes? Mine hardly crashes. Though I save it a lot just incase. Just curious how others find the switch play
The problem with the items limit and crashing on the switch is a hardware issue. Complain to Nintendo not Gameloft.
@mwatson7474 and yet we're able to decorate to our hearts contents in AC and I have no hardware issues
@@SpookyNugs not going to argue, but what I can tell you is Gameloft addressed the reason was instability. They did testing and there were too many crashes. Also the resolution and graphics is vastly different on ACNH than Ddlv. There are many games that either do not release on switch at all or release special editions on switch due to limitations of the hardware.
@@mwatson7474I wonder why they chose to put their game on the switch if the hardware was going to be an issue. Surely they knew beforehand that the game would at the absolute best be *pushing it* in terms of being able to run well on the switch.
I want them to free the main house skin... you can only place it as your main house. If you have other houses you can change it to them but the original you can only place as main home.
Agreed. I got sad when I realised this as I wanted the monsters inc apartment building as my main house as I’ve added so many floors so will make it into an actual apartment building but I want the original house in my valley too.
I play on Switch and the situation is confusing for how different everyone's experiences are. I have a pretty old Switch, one of the original models from when it first came out, and I don't have any problems aside from the occasional crash. Generally, I can decorate just fine as long as I don't add too much at once without saving, but that seems to be a game-wide issue. I have about half of decoration items limit used up, but the game mostly plays fine. I have it on PC as well, but I actually prefer to play on my Switch. However, I believe the other Switch players when they say they have major issues. I'm sure these reports are true. I just can't explain why one Switch works mostly ok and the other doesn't. D:
Me too. My switch is 6 years old and my game only crashes ever 4-6 hours of game play.
I also have the original switch, and mine is lite. And yes some days it crashes a few times. But it’s only when I turn suddenly or try and enter/exit my house very fast. Other than that I have decorated with barely any issues. 🤷♀️ Maybe the OG switches are somehow better? 🤣
I have had my switch since 2020, and it is the og version. My husband has an oled, and we have occasional crashes, but it is usually after doing massive redecorating and not pausing to save and overwhelming the system. I wonder if the ones having the most issues are using smaller memory cards... I have like a 512gb micro SD. Each update takes serious memory on top of the base game, not to mention any other digital download games and saves.
I’m a switch player. I’ve had the game about a month and am obsessively overriding the auto save feature because of the crashes and freezes. I lost a lot of meticulous decorating bc of a freeze. It is frustrating, but I enjoy playing what I can. I do hope they patch this soon. I imagine adding more content will make this worse unless it is addressed before then. I figured I would hold out for the next update to see if it is fixed before I consider jumping ship, and asking for a refund so I can buy it on another platform. It’s inconvenient because I use the switch mainly for its portability and can’t currently afford steam deck. 😢
Also, since others are adding their switch info - mine is one year old. I moved all saved data from other games to my removable memory card and dumped and cookies to try to free up space, but it only seemed to marginally help. As in, the stuttering seems to be mostly gone. It does still crash and freeze though 😢
Crystaldegreef, did you add an sd memory card to your switch by any chance? If so, how many gigs or terabytes? I use a 512gb sd card in my OLED switch and have had less than 4 freeze crashes on it since October. I just wonder if the sd card has helped? I only play the game on my switch when I travel or go to my office 2 days a week to use on breaks and lunch because it is lighter. What I do not like about using it on the Switch is the screen size. So when I am at home, I play with the same DDLV account on my laptop. I hope you can find a solution to the DDLV game crashing on your switch.
honestly just stop playing on switch altogether & save up for a new platform to play on if u really want to play the game , i completely stopped playing the game bc my switch would constantly crash after getting updates & im not going to buy another platform , it was fun while it lasted i guess
@@UrsulaPowers I did, mine is 1 TB so there shouldn't be an issue. It's actually crashed less in the past 7 days than it was, so I'm hoping maybe it took some adjustment time? Fingers crossed.
@@luv-velvet The thing is, I already paid for it on the switch and they really should fix this known problem rather than us having to pay for a second version on a different platform. I save manually to work around as much as I can, but portability is a huge draw for me.
I play on the switch. My switch is 3 years old and it can crash but it normally happens after being on the game for many hours. I just save a lot 😂
Another thing that people need to realize is yes, after the game gets full release and is free to play everything will be paid going forward. DLC, characters, quests etc... That's how they're going to pay for the development of the future of this game. Some people are so entitled....
I’m a Switch player. An original Switch console. Yes, in the beginning, it was horrible! I still played it though even around all the crashes, freezing, etc. Present day: does it still crash? Yes. BUT only one time. After it crashes, I can play for hours without it crashing again. So I have learned that when I turn it on and start playing, I do basic things like clean up the valley, mine, fish, etc. Nothing major. No decorating,etc. that way when it crashes, and it will, I won’t be mad because all I’m doing is cleaning. Crashing usually happens 30 min or less into game play. So it crashes and I turn it back on and play to my hearts content with no problems.
My game only rarely crashes on my switch, but the music is constantlyyyy glitching like they said. And my crafting animation lags pretty bad every single time.
My switch varies from day to day. Some days it never crashes, all is good. Other days it glitches constantly and freezes and crashes repeatedly. Its awful. I havent even tried to decorate because I know it will just glitch and crash and I will loose everything. It's hard enough to decorate on switch without the crashing so it's not worth it right now
For me, the switch version did crash maybe every 5 minutes in the beginning (i started during the halloween pass). Eventually, it has become much better. It only crashes once a week, if that. Yeah its annoying, usually you have to re-do something that you just did, but big deal. Lots of games crash every so often.
I absolutely love this game and I play on the Switch. Yes, sometimes my game closes out all of a sudden from time to time and I've even noticed that when I'm planting and harvesting that my character lags a bit. Also, decorating is a bit challenging as well for me. With all these things, I don't let this stop me, because I totally love this game. I'm looking forward to seeing what is going to come to the game. Personally, I'm extremely looking forward to the September update, only because that's when we get Belle, she's my favorite character. I'm really hoping that at some point that we get Snow White as well. Also, since I play on the Switch, I don't refresh my Scrooge Store, I just check it every single day in the hopes that I'll find something that I want to decorate either my valley with or my houses with. It's going very slow, but once again I don't let this stop me or bother me, because I absolutely love this game. I want this game to continue on for a very long time and there's so much potential for it to do that. This is just my personal opinion and how I feel about this game. So, I just feel that people shouldn't talk bad about this game and everything involved with it, because there are a lot of people like me who really enjoy and love this game.
Well I also play on switch and now we can refresh Scrooge's Store, so you don't have to log into the game to check the shop everyday😊
@@helena_dominguezz Yeah, I heard that I can refresh my Scrooge Store on the Switch if I force shut it down, but I'm afraid to mess something up. So, I just check my Scrooge Store every day.
I personally have virtually no problems playing on switch, but if I did, it wouldn't take me TEN MONTHS to get a refund!
I just can't stand the negativity in the community. It drives me crazy. We know very little about Dreamsnaps and people are already complaining. Also the e vs said give us feedback so we can evolve this feature to meet your expectations. How bout we try it and give solid constructive feedback instead of just complaining. I'm personally happy and excited about the updates coming.

I have the game on switch and the only long term quest issue I had was with Stitch’s broken tv but that was fixed with the update that came right after Stitch’s. As for the other issues, for example, I was decorating for like 2 hours last night and it did crash on me, even with frequent saving. I play everyday and I do not have any complaints of major issues other than occasional crashes. I may just be lucky though. However, I did report the stitch issue after like a day and got an email back that it would be resolved and it was.
The 4000 moonstone Wall-E questline shows that future quests/realms/etc. will require moonstones to unlock. I haven’t bought anything but starpaths from the game for this reason.

I play exclusively on my switch and feel like I have a whole game experience, the small amount of glitches don’t negate the experience for me at all. I also bought for my pc (an old one because I do most of my work on my iPad) and that is truly unplayable but I’m fine with it cause I bought it to get the ultimate edition since I couldn’t upgrade on the switch.
To be truly anonymous, they're going to need to add a new photo mode that doesn't include your avatar, otherwise it wouldn't be fair. Too many of the content creators now with well-known avatars.
I would love a camera option like the animal crossing new horizon has where you can be behind camera.
well as far as decorating and pictures switch users are at a serious disadvantage because 1. we are limited on items to use to decorate and 2. switch users can take in game pictures that count for quests and star path but we do not have option to store them or save them and if it is in game, switch users have no option to save pics. You take the pic and close window and it is closed. I had to take out a ton of things that were in game as far as items to decorate. As far as making clothes, I don't have a clue how to do that..I have watched a few vids but the tutorials are hard to folllow.
Could you make a video where you list all those characters who you think are coming to the village?
I play mainly on the switch but also on the PC via Xbox game pass. Yes my switch crashes sometimes but not anywhere near what others have experienced. I prefer to play on my switch bc the grass and trees are so much more pleasing on the switch. The XBOX PC game pass shows the forest of valor with a flat grass with clover like pattern on it and the switch has actual grass sprouts everywhere.

Who said anything about decorating? I must have missed that. The DreamSnap weekly contests could be take a picture with certain characters, take a picture of Donald mid tantrum, and so on.

am a Switch player and positivity/rationality are the only things that can keep a Switch player happy with the game I believe. It crashes a bunch, there’s a new bug where the “a” button will be unresponsive in-game (have to go to Home Screen and back in) and more

@@Doyoungismyfave I think it depends on which switch you have and how old it is. I’ve heard of older gen 1 switches having bugs that render DDV _unplayable_ that I’ve never seen,
but I have a newer ACNH switch so my worst bugs are occasional slow frames, crashes/freezes once or twice every few sessions, and now the “a” button being randomly unresponsive until reset (double clicking home button)
So I would hypothesize that someone with a newer switch or OLED switch wouldn’t encounter as bad of bugs as older switch users
but that’s purely hypothetical based on anecdotes
As someone who only plays on switch, it’s really not that bad.
I’ve completed all tasks, decorated my valley.. yea it crashes sometimes but it’s very playable.
I don't wanna say this but I am concerned about this community. It use to feel so wholesome and positive but (I'm not sure about this) now if just feels like every other post is about someone complaining about something. Yes there are issues they need to be fixed but still

I honestly think the reason they are doing the snapshot where you can win moonstones is because realms are going to start being behind pay walls. As in if you don't have enough dreamlight to open a realm you can spend moonstones to get dreamlight. The Lion King realm cost 10,000 dreamlight and that's probably what every realm on that floor of the level will cost. They get more expensive as we go up a floor. I honestly think the best option for the premium shop would be to sell all 4 items as a bundle for like $10 and then throw in like 200 moonstones which can go towards the star path. Keep rotating it every week. I agree it's fair to critique the game on how many issues there are because unfortunately this is what the gaming industry has become. They put out games that constantly have issues because they know people will be hyped to play. Yes they are adding new content but that doesn't give them a free pass for how it's not even playable on switch or how many bugs people are experiencing on other consoles. It would help if they did patches every month or at the very least between each update instead of waiting until the next update to fix problems from past updates.
I totally agree with everything you said! I also wish they would put out small patches to fix glitches instead of waiting for the large updates because those updates always come with more glitches too!
@@pa5666 Like I'm having small issues but it's still frustrating that a game that has been out almost a year still needs alot of work, especially every time they add something new.
The thing is though, the game hasn’t been out for a year. The game has not left early access yet, which means that whether we like it or not - we shouldn’t be expecting a seamless experience. I think something that causes a lot of players frustration is expecting the performance of a fully finished game, but that isn’t what this is. Do I think some bugs have gone on far too long? Yes, but at the same time we don’t have a game that’s been out for a year we rather have a game that we have been able to test out for a year while it’s still in development. @@shineydeathpony85.

Need I remind everyone this game is still in BETA mode, we are game testers, there is going to be bugs. I can see complaining once it goes free to play entirely, but until then, we are in beta mode....Also um, 5 bucks for a cup of coffee at Starbucks in USA? They are closer to 7 dollars+ here in Canada...
What I find funny is that a bunch of people think there's not enough room for houses, but then there's also the "give us more stuff" crowd. 😅
I started playing this game on an Xbox one and as it got updated it crashed all the time… I got an Xbox series S I love this game!
Oh I'm on switch i got a new switch in february. My character is having movement issues where it's hard for ot to move, that hoverboard thing doesn't work at all, it crashes constantly, It's constantly getting stuck, and I haven gotten any new DIYS, or furniture items in scrooges. There are tons of items I haven't even got yet like surf boards, pillars, etc etc etc.
I'm constantly getting items in chests and from animals that I already have purchased from scrooge.
BTW, MrStarInSky, I lurve you! I love your attitude and your gaming skills. Best to you and your loved ones always. (PS I gave up going to starbucks everyday so I could use my money in DDLV to buy the $50 moonstone pack!)

Yes. The game is becoming more shitty as more updates come. They put out new content without fixing bugs and crashes that were there from the start.
It feels like they don't plan to fix anything and just continue to milk us for everything.

Despite the negativity I still have high hope for this new feature! I'm really thinking that it will be anonymous and that we will only get to see a few photos each day to vote on. I don't think it will be like social media where we can scroll through photo after photo. Catio and K's Valley Talk also stated this. The negative repliers need to keep in mind that this new feature has to be fairly simple to run otherwise certain consoles aren't going to hold up and they will crash even more. Also those who play on the Switch need to keep in mind that not all of the crashing and freezing is DDLV's fault. The switch is not the best console. Nintendo has always been behind when it comes to making powerful consoles and they have always had trouble running certain large games. (just like all the lag on ACNH when Islands are extremely decorated) This is why the item limit hasn't been increased on the switch for DDLV. I think they really have to fix bugs on Nintendo. I have to pick up the veggies one by one or the game crash. But I don't wanna be refunded, I want they to fix this bugs. I'm okay even with the limits object, not so impossible to play with, but the crashes makes me little stressed. So I hope they fixes it one day.

I think it helps alot the main crash issues I had have been fixed, and I know that the more content they add, the greater the chance for occasional crashes, and I can accept that. I am a huge fan of the Sims and as an example I have the 3rd gen of the game and all of the expansions and stuff packs and my computer is a gaming computer and it will grind to a halt and crash the game my only way of extending time between crashes is to dial game quality settings back which sucks so everyone throwing shade at switches processing abilities need to understand there could be a point where all systems may struggle with the game.
@@jaimebrown5227 I have an SD and, same as you, I tried to keep the default memory as free as possible. Rarely the game really crash, but if try to pick up veggies pressing constantly A, the automatic pick up, Idk the name of the function, I don't play in English, my character get stuck and I have to wait a few seconds before I can move, so, if in the moment that the game get stuck I found the gold hole or the explosion I'll lose the entire spawn. I fixed it doing all the farming area in 2x2 square of holes surrounded by a footpath, staying in the middle of the square I can pick 4 veggies without the character getting stuck. As I said, the game have problems like that but they are not so hard to bypass, I'm still gaming. Weeks away my Mikey mouse start speaking onli English instead of my game language and my character start to speak in English with some characters, they solved it but, honestly, I didn't care about it, it was kinda fun 🤣
My friend and I both have the game on the Nintendo Switch (the one that connects to the tv) She's actually the one who got me into the game but she never plays anymore, her game crashes constantly, especially if she opens furniture mode. I'm luckier, I can play the game with almost no issues. If it's raining my music will skip and I have to go slow while moving and going through menus, and it doesn't always save in furniture mode. It also crashes a fair bit, enough to be annoying but not to deem it unplayable.. so I can definitely see switch users having different experiences with the game, however I don't understand it...
I have an issue with my mannequins. When I try to wear what 1 has ( if is a created dress) it will give a different dress than is shown.
I have a brand new switch and it freezes and crashes this game all the time. Its really frustrating. I also find it unfair that people playing on PC can do constant refreshes of scrooges store to buy more however there isn’t a option to do so on switch.

I bought my switch in january so its 6 and half months...
And playing was bad at first but now its ridiculous...
If I want to decorate I litteraly have to place max 5/6 items and save otherwise I loose everything because the game crashes or if luckely it goes out of furniture mode it doesn't save my progress...
Today I was grinding for iron because I used up a lot a few days ago when I started trying to decorate again.
And I thought to myself hey ill grind for 3 hours.

Like ive said before. i love the game now im frustrated for 3 reasons mainly :
1 crash crash crash .. like this person said saldy it's not so cozy anymore
2 the bundles (not the item in premium shop - because well I will buy what I can if I reaaaally want it with the moonstones I can get for free and until now it worked out pretty good _ I was able to buy the houses I was interested in) but the bundles.... That makes me upset.. why? Because even tho I try to decorate what I love about the game is the quests. And with those bundles that I WON'T be able to buy well I'm gonna miss so much (in my opinion) and I'm sad about it
3 the fact that switch players are F*ed like we cant have 6000 items... Il at 2643 items right now and my valley is far from finished ahah the only 2 biomes dones are Plaza and Sunlight plateau. The rest have some parts done and im waiting to see what characters / houses we will get to finish those.
So well... Im guessing I wint be able to.
So I am the first one to praise the game when I feel like it, but I also am allowed to get pissed off by all of that. So i completely understand this person wanting a refund.
I mean I won't do it because right now I still play it even if way less ... And not because I dont want to but because its so frustrating.
Every update its far worse... For crashs and in my opinion the quests are less and less long (because i said it again but the last update for the biggest one.. even tho it was beautiful and the story was hard and so relatable well even tho I do not play 24/7 i finished it so quickly... The starpath was a bit longer wich is fine.)
We can love something but hate part of it.
Also I bought the ultimate pack for PC because I wanted more moonstones for less money. But my PC lags so much it's far more aged than my switch.
I read in the comments someone saying ''they should buy another plateform if they want to play'' (I'm paraphrasing obviously) and I found that so obnoxious 🙄 yeah buying a new PC (a gamer PC) and steam deck or whatever everyone can afford that... It's totally the same as paying 30 bucks for a game... No I do not agree with that. If developers etc release a game on a plateform it should work ! Otherwise do not do it. That so disrespectful

Every bug i had was fixed. I was so upset i couldnt get wallie cuz the fire extinguisher just vanished and the next update they fixed it. (Xbox and pc player)
the premium items aren't about decorating they are about colleting things
I hope they don’t raise the moonstone cost of the items in the shop because I already can’t afford them but if the moonstone costs stay the same with this new dreamsnap feature I will actually have a chance to save up enough moonstones to buy the items in the shop I want (houses, & furniture bundles).
I have been having issue on the switch in the game where my scrooge store has updated but no items in the two windows. Plus the switch edition still crashes a bunch.
I notice my Nintendo Switch version crashes more often after being in standby. Maybe how often the console is reset or the game matters for the different experiences with people having the same console and different experiences.
Could some the issues with the Nintendo Switch be memory issues? It only has so big of memory to keep games so could they have to many so it is causing crashes??

PlayStation doesn’t allow people to refund games that have been downloaded, I tried to refund a different game that crashed all the time and was super buggy, I was refused a refund because “there is no proof that the game has crashed” even though I submitted a report when it crashed. People on PlayStation won’t be able to refund DLV no matter how hard they try.
If I had money spare I would 100% spend a little bit on some moonstones if I really wanted something from the shop. If it makes you happy that’s all that matters. No need for moaning!!!
Regarding the Switch issues, I think it might be because of memory? So if you have a big memory card within it, the game has more space to save stuff in? And hence less crashes? I have the original release date switch lite and apart from a few glitches, it’s nowhere near what some people are experiencing 🤷♀️
You know what? Maybe you’re right. I have a big memory card for my switch and I have had hardly any issues at all.
to be fair the issue is A LOT of the bugs making the game unplayable have come with updates months later. My friend couldn't play for 6 months they broke cloud save and then she couldn't even log in to play at all. I am in fact going to have her contact Nintendo to get a refund because this forced her to have to buy this game again on steam just to play. Greed loft need to not be charging us to fix things that should have been implemented on early release. They charged for beta to make the money they needed to fix all these issues they were aware of before release and now they haven't fixed many bugs but they are pumping out money making content . I dont want new things I want the old things to work correctly.
Im surprised Nintendo offered a refund, they usually don’t. I bought the original ark port and Nintendo refused a refund… so I don’t think that’s a case for concern
bought the game quite late, on Switch. Yes, it crashes, like at least one time per hour and sometimes it freezes. Used to Nintendo since the Gameboy, where the bateries just died randomly at some point, I tend to save my game every few minutes anyways, so yeah, it is annoying, but I still like the game and I think, the Switch Lite I am playing on is just not advanced enough to handle the data that needs to be processed and therefore just crashes inbetween. I don´t mind that much and it can´t stop me from playing the game.
My only complaint is that I can’t upgrade from the basic to the ultimate edition. I play on switch. I feel I’ve gotten my money’s worth, even with the bugs. I have some problems, but freeing up space on the switch helped. Also, I have noticed the quality of your internet connection makes a big difference.
First of all Nintendo is known for not giving refunds easily. Honestly it's hard to believe people online when they complain about switch version because I know people who hasn't had problems. Heck there's RUclips content about the switch version and no bad bugs are seen.
The only downside that I see for this is the platform that you’re playing. In my case I play in switch and the limit in items is a problem.
I like to decorate but having this obstacle and limits a lot because I don’t constantly re-decorate areas.
regarding your concern for the impact of the person who had their game refunded - it isn’t the responsibility of the consumer to pity the company and look out for their bottom line. if the consumer feels they’ve received a defective product, they’re allowed to return it. right?
it was reasonable of the player to wait to see if the game was fixed with updates because, as *everyone* loves to remind switch users : “tHe gAmE iS sTiLl eArlY aCceSs” 🙄

I love the concept of Dreamlight Valley. But, as a switch user, I do get many crashes. I have to save after placing just 5 items in decorating mode or I will likely crash. It is the same for the Touch of Magic.
My issue is that I paid the same as other consoles, but have a much more glitched experience and now cannot expand my item limit. How many other features will release that do not apply to Switch?
I also find myself thinking if the game did not have the Disney franchise involved (replace villagers with original characters), these issues would be large enough to kill the game as people would not accept them a year into Pre-Release. The brand saves this game.
I love playing but I wish so badly that I had gotten it on PC. And now, I would have to pay again in order to do so because we have absolutely no idea when free to play will release. The current release trend does not give me hopes of it being anytime soon.
So, I want to remain positive but it feels like I spent more for less. I have even noticed a degrade in the rendering of graphics probably in an attempt to stop crashes. Which I do appreciate but wish I did not have to sacrifice as the original rendering was lovely.
I can agree with switch users. It does constantly crash but I love the game when it does work. I will be buying the game again on steam soon it's just trying to justify the cost twice. I want to make the most out of my switch game too
You were on the comment about the refund from Nintendo for a bit but then I started to wonder... This could just be made up and false. What you pointed out is very true. If this person was playing the game for 10 months and decided they didnt like where the devs were headed and what not. I think Nintendo would roll their eyes and move on. I buy stuff all the time that I dont like and if I use it for 10 months there is no returning it. Think they just trolling for comments and up votes.
Play dragon Quest Builders 2, dreamsnaps will follow the same method, big social media presence and name recognition 100% matters more than how it looks

I have a switch and play in it just fine, I have very limited crashes.. I agree this person absolutely abused this situation, if I buy a pair of shoes at the store and wear them for 10months I would not be able to return them...

Nintendo has a really bad refund policy but will refund broken games. Every other console and market refunds games within 2 hours played time and 14 days bought. Nobody should get a refund on a game they played for nearly a year.
I think the person who asked for a refund is in the right. They seem to have had tons of problems with the game and even after playing for ten months, I feel they are justified because they gave it a chance to improve and didn't see it. I don't think it'll harm the game much because I don't think anyone who put substantial time in would ask for a refund and lose all their exclusive items/content. The game will go free eventually so this is only a limited time problem. I think putting Gameloft on a warning is a good thing as they still seem to be prioritizing monetization over glitches ✨✨

I have the game on ps5 and switch and it really is unplayable on switch, I haven’t done the last 2 updates because of how bad it is, I love the game and have played since day 1 on my ps5 and bought it on the switch when I was out of things to do between updates but it is unplayable, I think they made a mistake putting it on the switch, gives the game such a bad reputation when it’s really a great game on any other platform

The current one Wonders of Pixar, I am pretty sure still has about 24 or 23 days left. And from what their road map showed, the one showing off the summer update and all. I don't think there's going to be another until the next big update. The next one which seems to be Halloween/maybe villain-related, Saying Darkness returns to the Valley was under the Bella-related update set for September currently. So likely the next Star Path would be mid-September maybe even late but I suspect it'll go from Sept. until sometime in Oct.
that person that got their money back from Nintendo..... "It's not early access anymore" IT STILL is in fact Early Access... a lot of people on consoles don't really know what early access means. Honestly this post made me the most mad out of all of them, As a PC player, i know what Early Access means
However, i do agree that the Devs need to put out bug fixes between updates, because they are not doing that. Like did we really have to sit with all red flowers in frosted heights for 2 months waiting for it to get fixed. That wasnt a big bug but honestly seemed like an easy one to fix. They need to do more patches in between updates
As someone who's played a lot of Early Access games, I feel like some people need to understand what that means. YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR A FINISHED GAME! Your money is contributing to the finish product to assist the developers and finishing the game. Also yes you are being crowdsourced to help fix bugs by finding them and reporting them. That is the whole point of Early Access... It's not a fun way to play the game early, you're going to experience the game differently than someone who picks up the game after full release. Stop complaining about stuff crashing in Early Access.
I started on Switch and it was a mess. My son gave me an Xbox and haven't had an issue.

The switch is an okay console but it feels like it’s a few generations behind ps, Xbox and pc. I have non-live games released for switch that the console struggles with. I think dlv should stop support for the console and shouldn’t have released it for switch. Maybe waited for Nintendo’s next console. It’s the issue with portability vs performance.

I have no issue with you saying that you don't like to complain and want to be 'positive' etc etc. Absolutely a legit mindset. But I want to say that it is not against your 'rule' to hear other ppl complain. Don't 'ban' other ppl from complaining. Hear them out even if they may sound 'negative', it is just part of the overall 'picture'. Everyone of us is playing a different role. If everyone is playing the SAME role, then we are no different from a factory of standardized robots. Life as it is will end absolutely. Because there is variety, there are differences that go against our will, there are things that frustrate us and all that contribute to what we call life. If you are happy 100% of the time and sadness and disappointment don't exist at all in your life, then happiness lost its meaning. Happiness is happiness because of its opposite frustration. The extent of happiness is related to the extent of frustration it exists. They are just 2 sides of the same coin. Experiential 'things' exist only because of differentiation. If there are no differentiation, then everything is on a straight line. It still exist but it will be void of experience which what we call life.
Talk about playing a new game. I will be playing MMO Palia next month when it launch. Come and check it out and if it is good, you may want to cover this game. I want to continue viewing your video. I kinda lose interest in Disney Dreamlight Valley because I know I would not want to be held to ransom paying for new biomes (and its related quests and char) in future when they released. This kind of monetarization model is toxic imho. I rather cut my loss fast and early in Dreamlight Valley rather than to sink more 'investment' (of time and effort and feeling) into this game.
Again still unfair they are penalising me and other who do not bulid or dont go on much because we cant for responsibilities and the premium shop they are more then just build stuff, like house skins and clothes etc so me not joining in i would not get the extra moonstones that will help towards getting them and the next star path premium so dont say its fair cos its not for me and other playes like me they are pretty much saying we dnt matter so u not getting nothing just because we dnt want to build or do the challenges.
I'm gonna play devil's advocate.. but I do agree with Mrstarinsky here... Most of the items in premium shop are decorating items... So if people are not decorating why wanting them? And be angry with it..
And we don't know yet what would be the ''challenges'' so maybe even if someone doesn't decorate much they will be able to join
Or maybe it's a way for people that don't like decorating to enjoy the challenge and try to do so 🤷
@audreysamandler Eveytime im on the premium shop theres always summit i want bir i cnt because i have not got the moonstones thay im saving for the premium star path and im not paying the expensive prices to get more so still unfair cos do i like to put stuff in my house yeh but not to the challenges and they shoulnd force me to do it if i want the extra moonstones which i do but im not doing it and im on it like 1 a week for like an hour at the most i have other responsibilities so cant on on it every day so to me its unfair but happy for other people looks lime im deleting it.

I'm the first one to say bad stuff about the game when needed. But we have 50 moonstones everyday for free.. not a huge amount but hey that's ok.
They can't give 300 a week to everyone. So asking to participate to get those extra weekly moonstones is fair in my opinion.

Logically they should of never have released a game of this content to Switch ... its truly to powerful for the switch ... I had a lot of problems with switch (had 3 of them all OLED ). So I got xbox SERIES S and just platform from the switch account but I wish I could permanently move that account away from switch ... since im allowed 6000 on xbox and always showing in red and I don't play it on switch at all now ... But I do understand what switch users are going through but not 1x did I ever want my $$$ back :) LOL
