I agree with people being upset but not at the level of hate. In order for us to keep getting great content the game has to become profitable at some point. It can’t all be free for eternity. I’ve never seen developers respond to community feedback in the way that they have and I’m impressed. I think some things are getting too expensive and costs should be lowered but at the same time, I get what they’re trying to do to keep this game going.
I bought wall-ee I didn't get any of the stuff and then my game crashed and it now says I own it but need to buy it again. I can't finish the last thing it won't let me. So I got cheated on it.
People are acting like this game is free to play already. If it was I would agree. They need to make money somehow. But it's not. They can make the money based on the fact that we need to buy to play right now. And if anyone says that's not enough. It's enough for a lot of game developers on normal games that are buy to play and have no microtransactions. Once this game goes free to play, then they can have all the microtransactions they want. Until then I am still gonna be angry about it. Not to mention that even things we have to buy with our own money is bugged like the other person said. Its unacceptable.

How are the developers supposed to help a random RUclips commenter fix their issues? I’m sure if you gave them a chance to help, the community manager(s) would be happy to try and fix this for you

Everyone on reddit is pretty mad due to the WALL-E pack. Mostly because if it's already 4000 for just one quest and outfit in early access, how much will an actual character cost when it's free to play.
Gameloft always been and always will be a bunch of cash grabbies. Still tons of bugs in the game from day 1 and they prefer to keep building paywalls xD
I think for 4000 they should include a new character.

Thank you for discussing this! Reddit was getting so overwhelming for me. People were just rushing through a lot of it, it seems like. It’s developing so I am sure it’s still bound to have more fails. However I really think overall it’s a fun game, I am hopeful more improvements in general will come.

@awarren06 me too. Now there are bugs they need to fix but idk how people can go from celebrating to making things personal. It's a huge reason why AC devs stopped I think.
@@SpookyNugs oh my goodness the animal crossing thing! I was going to say it wasn’t long ago a second animal crossing island was pay walled by having to buy a whole second system!! Can you even imagine doing that today? I blame Nintendo for that one they just didn’t care imo plain and simple.
I don’t think the level of hate is warranted, I thought the final quest was beautiful and I was impressed with it especially considering it’s a fairly new game. I love this game and cheaper prize packs would be welcome in the future 💖

I don't know how i feel about "Paid Expansions" or DLCs, but we'll see. Also this update got messy people really don't like the Wall-E pack. Can't blame them, 4 or 5 items 4k moonstones is too much.
4k moonstones for a single 'maybe hour long' questline of fetch quests, can you even imagine how much a full expansion will cost? It'll be full game price if not more so at this rate and you'll still see people defending them with 'maybe they'll lower the absurd pricing!'

@@boanoah6362 If all you view the game as, is a constant string of fetch and obtain quests, then this is clearly not the game for you. The pack, bought with currency which is obtainable for FREE in the game, provides more quests which potentially someone’s favourite ever Disney character. It provides furniture and clothing for the decoration and expression of your valley. A free to play game providing optional, side content for a price that effectively can be achieved for free, really isn’t this huge scam that you are making it out to be.
@@boanoah6362 I think they lowered the price of some items before and the expansion probably won't be as expensive as the actual game. Plus the game sill be free so it's like you are buying the game only once
It might sound like I am defending then but this is nothing, when it comes to the actual gameplay it's still enjoyable without paying any money. I've seen way worse, most on mobile but way worse, Plus they listen to the players. When they do something wrong it's fine to criticize them but at the moment the game is pretty good
Those credits were unbelievable! You know every single one of those people were working under a lot of pressure and deadlines to get this done for us. They did an amazing job.
I agree that if there were just more items offered less expensively, more people would buy them. I love your idea of charging a higher price for an entire story arc with tons of quests and added characters! I would totally pay for that! But that would probably be far more expensive for them to do. They’d need to have whole teams if people working ONLY on that, so they’d probably have to hire even more developers. Or they’d have a bunch of the current developers working on that and the free side of the game would suffer and not get much added.
I bought the Wall-E pack and was really disappointed, only because it was soooo short. If it had been more elaborate and kept me busy a lot longer, I’d have been much happier.
The thing that worries me now is I was so excited for this update and it was over so fast. I’m back to having nothing to do in the game except grind and decorate, and I’m not super into the decorating thing. I enjoy it a little, here and there, but I don’t like filling up every inch of space because I don’t want to have to take hours of hard work apart when we need to place something new in the future, and I also don’t want to make it harder to around quickly if there are a bunch of obstacles everywhere. So I’m crossing my fingers really hard that they’re going to get a new storyline started fast and have new quests available, because those are what keep me entertained. If we have to wait for weeks, I’m going to be really bored and lose interest, which would make me really sad.
I am surprised that people are so shocked at the price of the Wall•E pack. A character skin is going to be more sought after/valuable than furniture, companion skins, or a donut headband. GameLoft could possibly not have a say in the pricing, it could be a Disney decision that they can’t change. The developers have really tried to listen to the players in other areas and deserve credit for that. If they can change the price they probably will.
Yes, people are shocked. This is by no means a normal price, lol. We got TWO skins in the last star pass along with a bunch of other things for only 2500. Now they want to put one skin into the pass and charge $15 for the second one. Does this provide any clarity to why it sounds ridiculous? 😂

What I believe a lot of people from the very start are forgetting, is we already had a whole entire quest with Wall-E, from realm to level 10, interacting with the other valley members and having other valley quests interacting with him. They have already provided everything that they have provided for other characters already, this isn’t a paywall for anything other than a few (imo mediocre) quests and an outfit.
The price is slightly high, I do agree, but for those who have a specific favourite, it might seem worth it. For characters that are my all-time favourite such as Stitch and Remy, I genuinely would potentially spend that amount of moonstones because it will be SO much more enjoyable.
There are items stuck behind paywalls, yes, and you may not be able to get things such as the boot bouquet to decorate your valley with, but there has to be SOMETHING that they keep an income coming in with. With the game going free to play probably sometime soon, it’s a necessity that they find other ways to find an income for the game to be able to continue to support the developers. The star path already provides the same amount, if not more moonstones back, and chests can be found providing 50. If you really enjoy this game and play it regularly, you can probably build that moonstone up over the time, and pick and choose the bundles you want to get.

Personally, I haven't used any extra money to buy items. If I have enough moonstones from chest collecting, then I'll buy an item.. I've missed items but I'm sure I'll see them again at some point. I thought the Wall-E pack was too expensive for the end result. Whether I buy the next pack will depend on the character & if I absolutely love the items.
I've noticed how many realm doors are still locked in the Castle. I'm wondering if later down the road we will have to pay MoonStones to open them rather than Dreamlight.

We will. It was stated in the FAQ before the game was released. It's the reason people are complaining now. No one minds that we have to pay, but don't overprice something when the value isn't there.
Thank you for being kind toward the developers. As a creative, most people expect you to not get paid for your work. And I knew that the reason they had paid content is because they’re continuously updating the game. Also love the seven dwarves idea!
it's for videos like this that I subscribed (in addition to the other videos that are great!). I appreciate that you are not one more content creator who behaves in a bad way, saying that everything is wrong. You try to give all points of view and I love that. since the developers are not going to come out to comment and try to defend themselves. Developers are not thinking “hey, how we can try to make everyone hate us”. People like you help new players to have a clear perspective and not be conditioned by rage. Please don't change. That is very important today when Reddit, RUclips , Twitch, are full with angry people.
My problem with the moonstone prices is that most free to play games I play, provide multiple other ways to grind to obtain the currency. So u either pay with real money or grind it out. Other than a few random spawning chests, they haven’t provided any other way to obtain moonstone currency. It feels unfair in that sense
I find it especially infuriating when there are paywalls for games that I HAVE ALREADY PAID TO OWN! It feels bad to constantly seeing things that I cannot have in a game that I thought I owned. We are the early supporters, we have faith in this game and it feels like they're constantly trying to pull more money from us. I really hope that the devs will give a thank you package to the early access players once the game is fully realized.
I also want to point out that they make a lot of QOL changes based on feedback, like when they added the potions, they cost too many resources lto craft for the reward ypu got, and they changed it the next update. So far the developers have put so much love into this that im gpnna keep playong even of i dont buy the extra bundles. If things change and they stop being so open and receptive to feedback, I'll probably change my mind. But yeah, so, yeah voicing criticism is one thing but it seems at the point of dogpiling right now.
I love this game, I really do but I really hope they lower the prices for the dream bundle and even moonstones. I do not have the money but even if I did it's too much for skins an a quest.

I have to say I am disappointed, for many reasons.
I agree with Mrstarinsky that yes they didn't break their words per say, because it's not a character or the storyline. BUT and for me that a big but. We all paid for the game and I really think it's unfair to make us pay for that now.
Also the price is insane for me, when we compare the rewards with the price - and yes I know it's not like buying outfits you also have the quests hence why it's more expensive. But that's too much.
I also want to say I'm disappointed also because -and maybe I will be the only one thinking that- for the ''biggest update yet'' I finished the storyline even quicker than the last update !
So maybe... Maybe if they didn't spend time on a paid bundle, we would have had more.
For me it's very frustrating, because even tho I enjoy decorating, my favorite part is the quests. So missing out on some or having 2 days of playability because of bundles, frustrates me a LOT .
Anyway I wanted to end on the topic of futur add on. I'm a bit afraid that they will take the form of bundles just like that... And not a DLC that we pay for the all storyline. I will be completely ok paying 30 euros a year to have a all storyline. But it doesn't seem it will be that way. And I know I won't be able to enjoy all the characters and the quests and I have to say... Even tho I love the game now I regret buying it because I'm hooked and I will end up so sad not being able to have it all- and I'm talking about the quests/storyline - the fourniture etc I mean yes if I really love something and I want to place it all over my valley I'm ok to pay a little. But the storyline AND characters. That sucks. Let's say it it sucks.
So I kinda hate that this game is going F2P. I would rather have to pay the game and once a year a DLC.
But anyway that was my rant. I'm just a bit sad. And I know at one point I will have to stop playing completely and that sucks because this is kinda my happy place at the moment.

I one hundred percent agree! DDV is my happy place, but I’m on a budget and can’t afford to pay for half the cost of the base game for a two hour quest and a few outfits. I upgraded to the Ultimate Edition a few weeks ago so I have moonstones, but I want them to last so I can get the things I really want.
I am glad that people show/telling what's in the wall-e pack so I don't have to be too upset for missing out on some stuff, it's too expensive for me to get it all so I took the spooky house 🧙♀️
Does anyone else think they should have thrown in a set of 4-5 exclusive furniture items with the Wall E pack? People would barely have anything to complain about then and it would have actually been a decent deal.

Yes the level of backlash is absolutely warranted. Ultimate edition of an early access game costs more than some AAA titles and this game still has micro transactions that are well above a micro price. Not to mention plenty of bugs and issues with functionality. They are prioritizing profit over quality and it shows. Anyone who’s seen what gameloft did to DMK *knows* what they are doing, and have a *valid* right to be upset. The story update was good, everything else is lacking. Anyone who knows the true cost relative to the industry knows this game is hyper inflating prices.

I don't mind paying real money for things in games, just cause people need to make money off of such a big project, and now it's free to play. The biggest gripe I have is the borders on my paths not coming out right 🤬
It's not free to play yet. It will be in the future but not right now. That's why I think alot of people are angry.
@Dawn Slater oh okay, my bad. When I bought the ultimate version it says the base game is free. Didn't know if that was cause i already have the game or they made it free.

My main concern isn't packs like the Walle bundle, but how far they might take it. If they ever start putting characters/ realms/ biomes behind a paywall, a LOT of people will be angry. I recently left a game due to my FOMO causing me to spend way too much on micro transactions for characters/ skins/ gear etc and I really don't want DLV to turn into that, otherwise I'd have to abandon this game too :P

Howerver, I really enjoy the Wall e dream bundle and didn't mind that I had to pay for it! The new skin comes with a new animation that is really cute and it has to be one of my favorite quest. ❤
The only value i personally got from this update was fairygodmother, and furniture editing. Everything else has to be paid for. I guess im mostly upset, cuz they hyped it up a lot. Its not really an update, its just a peice of the actual update which will be released later. Almost wish they just delayed till they had finished it.

Once the first model is made and approved, that's it, their work is over. The software auto-replicates it each time it's purchased. Lower the price and go for volume....this is simple economics.
This absolutely screams of having no idea about economics. There is more costs in running a full game like this than simply just “oh, someone spent 5 minutes drawing a tree on Microsoft paint and we’re going to copy and paste it a hundred times and charge $200 for it”
@@whitetrash2990 You completely missed the point of the post. They'd be making more money through sales volume rather than just focusing on whales. It's simple economics. The playerbase of this game will be huge once the game goes free. It's already big now. Example: $15 x 1000 people = $15,000. $8 x 5000 people = $40,000. Do you get the point now?

The original post is stating that there shouldn’t be any high price on “pixels”, even if there has been entire teams of dedicated developers to create every model, decoration, cosmetic, all of those things that the original commenter is stating should effectively be free because “it doesn’t cost anything to reproduce”.
The pricing on these things isn’t just going forward and entirely a profit, it’s also working retroactively, so that the sales will pay for the wages the company has paid the development team, so that the project isn’t an entire financial loss and can continue
The moonstones items are so expensive. The blue chests only give 50. They should give 100 in the chests and lower the price for the premium shop. If the prices were lower for the items I'd be willing to buy things more often
So far I haven´t reached the end of the Star Path. We will get a lot of Moonstones back (around 3000 so far). I am very sure, that people would have spend them LATER for Walle Bundle, if the price were lower. Now You start with Update 5 and one of the first things You see is the Red Dot to pay 4000 Stones for the Bundle.
But what worries ME more are the many many Bugs they bring into the game with every Update. The wanted to fix getting memories for Feeding animals (got my last one months ago). Now they don´t even all drop something after the got feeded! Getting Memories for removing small nightthornes. Removed so many with this Update and got not 1 Orb! Getting Memories for watering dried flowers. It is raining every day I start the game!? I had missing pieces in my Paths, removed Decorations... all redecorated now.
They will even get more backlash for some Star Path duties! For Example: Give XYZ 7 favorite gifts, talk to XYZ 3 times (thats 3 days for one Duty)! And there is more of these than just 1 in it.
The WALLE price is absurd.
Outside of that, I purchased coins for the first time, to support the company… it’s a good update, overall.
The WALLE pack, though…. The price is so insane… I’m not mad, but there is a cost verses value issue here I can see would upset people.
Too many people are complaining about the Wall e pack when the real issue is the new glitches! I can't decorate my valley because it is SO SLOW. ITS AGONY. I'm desperate for there to be more awareness for the bugs!
My Fairy Godmother quest with Merlin's book is bugged on Switch. I cannot put the book back on the shelf.
To me the Main story has ended, so they now can say anything new can be paid for. My thing is they promised from way before early release that no charges for things would happen while in early release because it is still beta but here we are. They have run the credits so in reality any new updates they feel like they can be paid for nd once you have to start paying for Characters that will be a real issue I feel. This stuff is way too expensive an they know and have done polls and they are not listening and also as long as creators promote the stuff and get people to but it, they won't. I have seen creators very smoothly get talk about how expensive it is and tehy wish they could do videos on it and low and behold people send money for them to buy it plus they then can use it as a tax deduction. How does that help us, it doesn't. All the people who can afford it shame those who can't and say well you don't have to buy it it isn't part of the story, well nothing is part of the story now it techincally ended and everything new will just be bonus. 17 dollars to do a quest and get a few cosmetics is exptremely high and greedy. People say well they need to be paid,, THEY WERE PAID, I paid 70 dollars for a game that will be free to support it. We live through all the bugs and we live through all the issues and if they do drop prices those of us who paid, we paid for it.
They werre so friendly and supportive at the beginning, listening changing UNTIL money entered and now they don't listen and patches are not coming out. They wait for new updates instead of sending patches for quests that do not work that people paid for. They could make displays for scrooges windows, that change with seasons. I do not see any changes with new update, I have not got a single new thing in sore except for 1 cabinet, nothing improved. No improvement in morb drops, It took less time to finish this update than any of the others, 2 quests. I still do not see why this was the biggest update. Storage chests cold have been made to be upgraded instad of having all the littel ones sitting in storage,paths could have been upgraded to had adges instead of having to make so much more. We cradt cool things for quests that get taken away. For those of us wanting to complete things, it seems3 steps forward and 5 back. The dreamlight tree has been added to foraging and if it has same requiements as other fruit trees it will take forever to do because you only get 12 in 24 hours and rarely get a gold spot that isn't much more. seems "just impossible" I have enjoyed the game and the quests and I even appreciate the new start path is making it so it can't be done in a day. I resent the QUILT that people throw out that they need to make money, they need to be profitable, we paid but it is not hate to ask that be reasonable with the costs, if you only want to cater to the rich, then say so be honest. Don't expect us to keep playing just to do tedious things, thos on switch cannot deoorate like ths otehrs can. We worked so hard to craft items that now will be useless. Just a fair balance, 2 or 3 dollar DLCs is fair and more people could afford it and would. 17 dollars for a skin and a few outfits is not reasonable. The game is technically over, so anything else can easily be charged for.

I am going to brag but in my furniture pouch in the forgotten lands chest I got the wall-e bath tub, must of been a lucky one :D
Honestly, I don’t mind the Wall-E price, I got it and didn’t spend a cent on it. I had over 14000 moonstones just from chests and starpaths, I choose not to get anything from the premium store so my moonstones are just sitting there, this was worth it for me. Don’t much care for the items you get, but I enjoyed the little quests. Would I spend my money, maybe - if it’s a character I really like. In the end, we’ve gotten so many free things, I don’t mind it.
That one post talking about quitting DMK is Disney Magic Kingdom. It’s a mobile app kind of like Dreamlight valley. And of course, the higher ups (not the developers as most people think to blame) do the pricing. As business people, that type do tend to get detached from the layperson and think only of profits.
I wanted the Wallee expansion but after what I have watched I am not sure I want to part with my moonstone but I do like what you can get once it is completed. I am pretty stingy with my moonstone. I like saving them to open the new events with each update.
I have heard people have experienced bugs with it so that makes me wary of getting it even if I was willing to part with the crazy amount of moonstones they’re asking - I bought the castle instead (which has become a better value since it’s no longer just a skin)

Merlin and Scrooge have unlocked beach clothes which is so cute. It’s probably coming with the next update when we get Vanelope
I also wish we can swim just like on Animal Crossing New Horizons. I even tried to wear my wet suit in this game just to see if swimming was possible. Hope that would come in the future.
Honestly I don’t mind paying. Wish some of the items in Scrooges shop I can’t get I could just buy. As someone who plays the sims I think the price points are much better.
Here’s my one over riding problem. I bought the most expensive founders pack for over $100 Canadian and a year in, it still crashes.
Now in order to get the items I want as I have shell out $80 Canadian to get a decent stack of moonstones. Ya sorry for not getting a RUclips paycheque to pay for me playing the game. But once I finish the Forgetting I’m done with the game.
If people don't buy the pack, it is definitely a way to show it is too expensive. I wish everyone would do the same when game companies stop doing games for the switch and ps4 - to stop buying a new upto date game console. I am aware that some games need a more powerful console, but it's not always the case.
I have game pass so the game is somewhat free for me but also I dont know why people don't just collect moonstone each day instead of paying to get the star path items. The only complaint I have is that I have to level up moana, scar & elsa to get memories back so I can finish the storyline and I personally dont like the friendship quests because they're just a bunch of running around without much story. I wish the storyline was seperate from the friendship quest so we could play which parts we like. I'm slowly raising my characters to level 10 so I can finish the story
People seem to forget that disney is not a charity. I don't know if disney approached gameloft to develop this game or if gameloft is buying the licenses (which would be incredibly expensive), either way turns out with a high pricetag. Look at Disney parks and items, they are outrageously priced. This game is hopefully just a stepping stone towards more life sim games, that require much less funding. And I agree that its hurtful towards the developers. I have worked in this field myself and know how invested you are as a creator. And with a game like this I doubt that gameloft has much room to decide any pricing at all.
My frustration is that they're introducing new paid features of increasing values while this game is still in early access, which everyone paid for at least $35 USD for a game that will one day be free for everyone. I guess maybe I myself feel like a dummy for buying the game so early on before it was obvious how much percentage of content will be paid for.
On the sale of the game, they have always stated that this is a purchase for early access and the early access bundle, the game has been labelled as a free to play game since before we could even play it, so my advice would be to make sure you read what you’re purchasing next time, because it’s been known to everyone for a while that everything we will be getting as part of that early access will be free (other than the paid for purchases, which will still remain once the game goes free to play)
I'm as frustrated as you are with all the crazy pricing, but the one thing I can say is that we basically paid for the moonstones from early access, not the game itself. When you look at it that way, it's easier to digest. But something needs to change about their current pricing situation for the bundles at least. I hate the premium shop pricing, but at least those are purely cosmetic. We aren't missing quest lines and stuff like that.

I mean it’s no longer in early access. I thought the expansion pack was extremely good value compared to the premium shop prices for stuff. I do think the premium stuff could do with being lowered a little or do sales on the MS packs now and then.
I do think we need more clothing introduced into the Scrooge shop and maybe rotate them like furniture so the shelves never empty but with only 50% of stock being rotated so there’s always at least some new stuff.
I will not get the wally quest for now and showing the developers my opinion by not bying it. I can enjoy the rest of the uppdate and by the star pack instedd.
I bought the Wally park with my runestones I got a certain? I know it’s just dark on disappeared, so where is the sense of my phone for that to happen to me? I don’t think this is fair. I hope they fix it for me.

Glitched facial make-up, Woody's music being played all over the valley, unworking road borders, bugs in Scrooge's shop, not being able to place manikins outside, glitched umbrellas, some missions can't be completed...
I don't know, I was very hyped about this update but sadly it just keeps desapointing me over and over again...
It's about as glitchy as other updates have been. They all seem to have their own set of glitches. The Woody music is driving me crazy though!

This update is scarier than the last because I'd at least notice a warning when my game is about to bug out and close but this one does it completely randomly. I'm back to saving every few minutes 😔

I play on Xbox and the crashes have been the same since launch, in this update that didn't changed fortunately.
I think peoples issues is that this game is not even offically released. It’s in early access. And the price to play this game in early access is on par or even more expensive than the most notable developer company’s games. Yet there are micro (more like major) transactions that equal to a whole another game. There is no way this developer is hurting for more cash. Be fr real. Are we forgetting who the developers are? Gameloft Hello??? Yes, we knew this was going to happen but there is little regard to the people who actually paid for the game for early access. In the gaming community this is truly unheard of for early access especially with the release date being obsecure.
I wonder if the amount of moonstones is kinda like a test run.
I think content should stay free, including quest lines. Personally only support games which only offer cosmetics in their shops.
If they want to sell quest lines, they should put the work into making an entire new DLC - which is worth the money. But just my opinion and way to deal with too many monetized games… 😂
I feel a happy medium for people is if they gave the packs at discounted price for everyone that purchased it. Full price to those that waited to play for free.

I think that they will give us the continuation of the valley's story for free. As for paid DLC...I could 100% see them having (for example) a 100 Acre Wood biome with the Pooh characters included, and separate, but complete story. Or The Incredibles with a city type biome. I'm fine with that.
As for the comment talking about milking players....do these people know the cost of just ONE day at DisneyWorld, not including hotel? Guess that makes those who go elite, it makes Disney predators, and it's unfair to the entire vacationing community.

Although I was a bit disappointed with the update I appreciate that the game is still early access. I'm happy with fairy Godmother and the star path I'm half way through Walle pack the quest are actually cute. I'm not playing pack for the prizes but the quests
THANK you. I said on Reddit the same things you said, and I've been so insulted. I mean, thousands of people worked on the game, of course they can't pay everyone with just the one purchase. I see bundles as cosmetics, I only buy if I want em. Also, if we're gonna pay for characters, fine by me, at least I have the chance to choose who will come to my Valley and who won't.
I love how calm you stay. I know animators for video games and I know they all rely on games like these to make a living. Yes the prices are too high, but creators should and need to be payed for their work!

The only thing I am upset about is the fact that they made new paths instead of making the paths we have with the borders......I spent all that time and effort in making them to only have to do it all over again....seems a little unfair to the players who have been with the game....
I would be happy to craft the borders if they were allowed to connect to the paths we already have - I spent so much time gathering stone for the brick path in my Plaza and I’m going to wait and see if they fix this in another update before I tear it all up and make the border paths

They are also going off about the switch issues. I saw someone yesterday explain the problem perfectly but the person was still being really negative. They have listened to people's opinions but alot aren't looking at that fact. You're right about the credits. Felt like the end of kingdom hearts lol. I have faith though that they will change up with the moonstones and find a better way to make players happy.

To charge for in-game content before a games release date is shady, deplorable and unheard of in the gaming community. Not only is it wrong, but the content is stingy and outrageously overpriced. This is typical Gameloft living up to their reputation.
The reason you pay for a game during development is to help the developers with feedback. You are paying for a game that doesn't work. Your input helps them make it work.
So, essentially you paid for a broken game, then they have the nerve to charge for content before the game is released. Outrageous.

I agree people need to be paid. It's optional you don't lose any of the main game and I think that the cheaper the price the more people could afford it too. Maybe the price will drop when it's free with mass players. Drawfs selling gems for your rare gem get would be cool but they're not even on the cards yet. I know those fires should have had update 5 items! I just knew it though all coins lol I don't mind the paid DLC if it's good and not too oftend. Good idea to ask a favor a day of the characters in their chosen skill to find 10 or something peices but I'm drownding personally in items. I like the wall e pack too. Quests abit annoying though. I tend to be busy at 6pm. I wish they'd give more time or stop the time gated thing altogether. I don't mind say waiting 3 days I hate pop on at 12am to catch critter though I'm like yeah I'm asleep dude. I wish they'd randomize what day the critters appear. In example every time you turn it on it's different you just check whose there in the bio and it's geared more towards the critters you don't have. So it's convenient to your free time just make catch rate harder.
Im finding this game more and more expensive. I used all my moon stones on the carnival quest and Monsters Inc house but now I dont even have 500 moonstones. I literally cant get anything, cant participate in monthly quests etc. so upset. The monthly quests should be open for everyone to participate in.
these days Im more invested in animal crossing and Im excited about Fat Farm. I will still play Dream Light Valley but not to a great extent.
I bought the Wall-e pack. It wasn't worth it. You get a new skin for Wall-e, a new outfit for you, a garbage can hat and a bunch of junk for completing the quest. Eve should have been part of the bundle. It would have made it worth it. But I won't fall for this again.
I totally agree. There will be people who are angry that a character is paid through this pack but we already know that it's coming down the line. Eve being added to this bundle would have made all the difference and the price worth it.

I agree that a lot of people left hateful comments about the wall-e bundle and it's just not going to help anything. They're criticizing real people who worked hard about this game. I used to be a hardcore ACNH player and the fanbase was so hateful that I feel it contributed to the developers just dropping the game altogether after the first and last DLC. I would warn people to tone it down a notch, bc the same thing can happen with Dreamlight Valley. Especially since they're in the early stages and not making full profit...
That is not why the updates stopped. ACNH was never going to be a game with microtransactions like this one. And if it weren't for COVID, I don't even think the game would have gotten any updates aside from the DLC. Everything would have been ready at launch.

“People are allowed to be upset” this was a great comment. It acknowledges the game is great, but there are some shortcomings and some things that straight suck. Not saying the game sucks!!! But these couple of specifics things suck. I loved the update, I love the content, and overall I am going to keep playing. However, this does not mean I have to agree with everything Gameloft does. Big shout out to those of you out there bold enough to share genuine (yet respectful) comments even when they are not in favor of Gameloft! Love y’all and hope you continue to enjoy DDLV ❤❤❤
They should lower the price of the wall-e bundle drastically, and make the quests accessible to everyone outside of the bundle. Monetize cosmetics all you want, but gameplay ( i.e. quests ), shouldn't be.
I love your reddit reviews. The game has to make money or it dies. Yes the price was high and probably it will go down a little. These devs have listened to the players more than any other game ive played. You can get a good experience just playing the free content and buying stuff from scroogie's. I love fancy restaurants but i can't afford it. Same here but at least you get the free game.

for the WALL-E pack I feel it could be cheaper if they didn't add the quest line. they had to pay people to make the quest and items. maby it would be 2000 or 2500 if it didn't have the quest. I personally didn't care that there was a quest so in the future maby no quest. if we boycott the paywall then maby they won't give us the stuff. I myself think it's a little high especially the Wal-e pack but it is what it is and I'll buy what I want to buy. I haven't boighten everything because some of it doesn't interest me.

It is, in fact, possible. If you buy all Star paths and take all the free moonstones chests, you can even get a premium pack every once in a while. Sure, you might not be able to buy everything, but it's just cosmetics, so only buy what you really want. I haven't bough anything since buying the game, and still got plenty of moonstones. That's with me not even playing that much outside of starpath.
I am absolutely thrilled with the game! The continuation of the main story in this update was amazing to me, and I have no complaints.
I haven’t spent a single real penny since I purchased the game itself. For everyone in these Reddit post that are crying, If you do your daily blue chest collecting you’ll have plenty of moon stones to pick and choose what’s most important to purchase if they don’t want to spend real cash. I only have two gripes, with the amount of game crashes I’m still experiencing - starting to feel like I paid to be a beta tester.. I could use some in game compensation. I’d also like all my memory orbs that I didn’t get during the glitch to be delivered to my mailbox. Thanks for your videos!!
You're able to buy the WALL-E pack by just opening the chests? I log in everyday to collect the chests, yet I'm still 2700 moonstones short. Foraging and harvesting doesn't produce moonstones. I would be grateful if you would share your strategy with the rest of us.
@@TheDeborah0101 from the last star path completion and then waiting for the update doing daily chest I was able to collect up about 5,130 Then bought the new star path, leaving me 2,630 now working my way through the star path again and I’m already up to 3,990 and blue chest again with 550 to still earn back just from the star path. Which will leave me with 4,450 not including daily chest. So if I want to get wall-e I could or just keep saving up to ensure the next star path or get a house or tools skin, like I said pick and choose what’s most important. I mean it’s not enough for every single new item, but it’s very doable without having to spend real money.
Most people don't mind paying for it though. It's the price that's bothersome. I think even you can agree the Wall-E bundle is not worth what they're charging for it.
I’m enjoying the update and bought the Wall-E experience and other items. I have no regrets and don’t understand the negativity. Some people just like to be miserable and spread their toxicity. There’s no point in engaging with them, because you can’t reason with the unreasonable.
