Simply genius! My daughter loves Bluey. Since I have a cutting machine, I would take the cutting step, after the pieces are ironed to the heat and bond, and have my Brother Scan n Cut do the cutting. Easy peasy with the Brother machine since it will scan and cut the pieces out in no time.
Just a creative suggestion I would suggest the lite/medium hold not the ultra. Your needle won’t get gummed up with the medium hold and it does the same thing it just isn’t so sticky. (Years of experience using. This for this very purpose) 😊 It is also more playable with the lite heat and bond. Fun project.
Oh my you have the gift of patience! I fussy cut fabrics the same as you but a use a cutting machine to cut out the pieces. I truly believe I would have completed (maybe) one project if I were to hand cut it. Lol.
This looks great! My grand daughter would love something like this. I might give this a try- you inspired me. I need to figure out how to use my Cricut to cut out the fabric. I think that would help me.
Been repurposing a flannel shirt. Was stuck on what to put on the back. Came across the video. Forgot my mother used to do the same. Remember her saying she liked the pictures to be big. I am going to try this..
Interesting! I have never used Heat & Bond. I have always used fabric glue and fabric paint for my designs. It can definitely be messier, but I don't end up struggling trying to zigzag small areas. Oh, and I saw someone mentioned copyrights. I use royalty free images or create my own designs.
In the same way you can practice drawing popular characters for yourself, you can create characters for yourself out of fabric, too. It's for personal use, not for selling.
This is a great instructional video but for me, takes too long. If I didn't have an embroidery machine, I would try an easier pattern. Thanks for the video!
@juliannaburgess9177… this is the exact question I was coming to ask. I can understand using a comic book style picture of a duck, dog, tree, etc., but using a copyright image seems like stealing. I feel certain the copyright holders will have something to say when/if they see this.
Typically, it's only considered a copyright issue if you are selling the product you make. But if you were making it for your personal purposes it's just like taking a piece of tracing paper and tracing the picture out of a coloring book. Kids do it all the time. If you made one and decided to sell it on something like etsy, that's when you could run into copyright issues
Yes and no. Since there's no negative use here, its allowed, typically. Fan art isn't illegal. You can't sell it but they can sell the coloring books to use plus software for cut files and embroidery that's done by brother, assumed by Disney affiliation with them and a machine business overall.
I am sorry to tell you but Bluey is copyrighted. It's Australian but they have the copyright and trademark to make clothing, bedding, lunchboxes, books, pencils, name it. I know because i bought it all for my 5 year old.
Ahh, you cant do this, it violates copyright law. Anything with copyright used without permission opens you up for a lawsuit. Be careful. A lot of people have been caught like this.
My mom & aunts used coloring books to both embrodiery & piecing ideas/patterns. Now that I have grandchildren, I'm doing the same thing!!
Please do a video on RUclips!!

Great idea. Although, with a Brother-Scan-Cut this project would be a lot easier and less time consuming.

Thank you so much for the tip! I'll be sure to try it out.

Appliqué is really fun.

is heat n bond ultra not a no sew?
Does a cricket cut fabrics?
Yes!
Oh this looked great! Thank you for sharing. 😱🪡🙏🏼👏🏻❤️🔥

Can you use freezer paper or only the heat & bond?
Only heat and bond. Freezer paper won't adhere to the fabric
@GALAXIE262 thank you xx
You need to have Becky (Power Tools with Thread) demonstrate how to use Brother Scan and Cut so individual cutting isn’t necessary.

Question.....is this a copy right issue?

@racheleakin6259 we all know people will be doing this to sell now.
It is not an issue for personal use.
U know the answer already. Stop it
they have applique mat would be a great asset. ruclips.net/video/tedmzU7bsTQ/видео.htmlsi=I7WlOX8B35AsiF_H
I done this about 30 years ago on my childrens school blouses ......its nothing new.......
Maybe new to some especially a newbie to sewing. 😊
It's cute...but "ALOT" OF WORK!
Uh, copyright?
Copyright only applies if you are going to sell it.
@@naomijackson4691 AH!
@@naomijackson4691that's not true.
It is highly unlikely that a copyright holder will go after someone just for personal use (but not unprecedented).

Also known as copyright theft
oh no. i'm sorry. it's just a no.

Did you get permission from artist? If not, definitely copyright violation.
