Hey I'm from future, nowadays Kara was one of three main characters on the game called Detroit: Become Human. This game was critical success.

This is very powerful and actually made me cry a little...
The facial expressions are just spot on and don't hit the 'uncanny valley' syndrome.
Being an android, the moments it does go into uncanny valley actually work to their advantage.
That's because they use motion capture. It's the very likeness of the actress through pins set on her face and a suit on her body. They then go in on a computer and touch up anything that doesn't quite look right. It's a really cool and intricate process that I wish more games did.

Markus, Connor, and Kara are RA9. Markus became their leader, Connor set them all free, (if you choose for him to be deviant) and Kara was the first to awaken.

Amanda create connor and Kamski create connor. They both act like prophet because they the only android can convert other android. If you watch Detroit trailer. You can see Kara walk like happily and human like android and other android saw that. Then they awake
Actually I think you're ALL wrong. Amanda, leader of Cyberlife, is RA9. I believe that will be the reveal if/when they make a sequel

Wow. This is pretty amazing. In the span of 7 mins they created a character that I actually cared about and connected with. The concept might not be very original but the execution was flawless. Bravo! The future of gaming is indeed bright.
I'd imagine it would play in some way similar to Heavy Rain. One that focuses on character development and choices over straight gameplay. I'd buy it.

PLEASE MAKE THIS INTO A GAME, QUANTIC DREAM, PLEASE! In those few minutes you set the background for a better story than most games out there. Plus, it looks damn amazing graphically.

The little "My God," from the narrator was just as powerful as the rest of the video. Poor guy thought he was just assessing machinery, and instead, he was dispensing life or death. Just imagine how crazy it would be if a microwave you were about to throw in the dumpster suddenly developed sentience and began begging for its life.
Every time I watch this, I still get goosebumps and shivers up and down my spine. The emotion in her voice...

Watched this for the first time this morning, KARA's emotion made the hairs on my neck stand on end and moved me to tears. It's been stuck in my head all day. This performance capture is amazing and really helps tell stories - I think all games should use this in future. Brilliant work Quantic Dream.
Detriot: Become Human and Cyberpunk 2077 are the only 2 games to have teasers that were shown almost a decade ago and have had their actual game released now and in the past 2 years.
I remember watching this video when it first came out, and as I was finally watching Detroit become human it hit me I'd seen her before. This is absolutely incredible. A concept from a PS3 Tech video became such a critically acclaimed, amazing game.

Connor will be absolutely normal and behave. Markus is a prototype which is gifted to Karl by Kamski, so he would not be disassembled even he shows self conciousness to some extends. It was even so designed by Kamski, becuz Karl is an artist u know.

The graphics aren't nothing we haven't seen before, but the animation is simply perfect. That's how a character has to move.

I'd love to see how the story for this would develop. I hope it would be something for the history books as Deus Ex, Portal and Half-Life have acheived.
Just the questioning of conciousness, humanity, living and even redefining what is "defective".
Some of these have been questioned before, namely Deus ex, but as a full android, It would make a VERY interesting story, if done correctly of course.
Lets ignore Heavy rain & fahrenheits gameplay and hope they do something innovative in all area's.

Well although this isnt related to any current titles they are working on it is a demonstration of what Quantic Dreams future games may look like. The point being that if this kind of realism were to be in a game i dont see how anyone could argue against it being a form of art.

Total game potential. Same set up as Heavy Rain, with multiple storylines converging.
You have Kara, who is outted as sentient and must escape, The Operator who is also chased by the company and the government for releasing a defective model, a government Agent who is tasked with hunting them both down, and who (as a twist) becomes sympathetic to Kara and defects, and finally you have like a seemingly random person who works for a rival android company who gets caught up in corporate espionage.
Your question is literally answered in the first second of the video.

AKA no it's not an upcoming game. But given everyone's positive reaction to it, it probably will eventually get turned into another "Heavy Rain" style game anyway.

If this were a movie, it would be like Bicentennial Man, but much more modern.
Quantic Dream is the best at conveying a lifelike touch of realism to what they do.

Part of me wants this to never be a game because this stands so well on it's own. I remember the severe let down that was Dead Island, that trailer is a masterpiece and I wish it was never anything more.
It's amazing how much they progressed in terms of graphics when you compare this to DBH 6 years later.

So very interesting. I'm glad he let her go. Even if she was following some sort of "Survival protocal" . But if that was the case why was her heart racing?
This messes with my mind. I felt something for this character. I connected to what was on the screen. I felt awe as she took her first step and savage fear when she was being taken apart. No other computer animation has actually done that to me. Unlike other human representations, I didn't need to use my imagination to fill in any gaps. This is amazing. She was human, but she was an animation.
Now that's an engrossing video. They've clearly not lost their story telling ability since Heavy Rain. I was hooked!
@Synper311 I'm not afraid to admit that it choked me a little when she exclaims that she's scared. It's perfectly voice acted and to know show empathy to Kara would mean you had a heart of stone.

He said it's his job to look for defects, and it wouldn't fit with his explanations on how she's just a very nice looking piece of pricey tech, because that gives me the impression that robots aren't paid for what they do in the universe this depicts. He's just stunned at how fully human her reactions were to the whole "disassemble" thing.
