I never thought about it either , which sound so silly to write considering I work with them all day long . It’s really helped me a lot with nervous dogs

Hello, I am in the process of becoming a dog groomer. I am starting off in my garage and already have the set up. My question is how do you handle the water with it being in your garage, my water hose outside only gives cold water?

Hi there! I’m opening my own salon out of my garage soon:). I just finished dog grooming school and my friends and neighbors are texting me all the time asking when my salon is finished! One of the trickiest things to figure out are my prices. I realize it varies from cities to living in the country or even what country you live in. Do you have a different price for say a Golden retriever that is getting a bath, nails, brushout etc and a golden that is getting a de- shed? The salon I’m hired at charges more for that but really all they do is use a different container. I’m still going to be blowing all that hair out just the same. Do I really need to charge more for that?
I don’t want to sell myself short, but I don’t feel the need to charge extra for something it seems I’m already doing. What do you do?
Have a Blessed day from SC 🇺🇸 ❤

Yes girl charge more. Or factor that cost into the price of your base service. What I do is charge based on the dogs condition.. some goldens have a much thinner and lighter coat that don't really require much deshedding but some are super thick and compacted. Charge more for those ones!
