I moved to Japan for four years to teach English, was drained from dealing with 7/8 classes a day and parents, wearing a suit and heels, then I came home to do my masters in Japanese and then came back to Japan but this second time around the novelty has worn off and the environment is to intense and a lot of pressure, so I’m going back to my little fishing village in Cornwall in the UK and going to work 3 days a week at a friends grooming shop. My anxiety and blood pressure is through the roof and I heard working with dogs is good for anxiety. I’m tired of pushing myself over here in Japan and it’s so thankless. I just want to enjoy my life and be with friends and family now.

Another con i would mention would be sound. If you happen to work in a salon or store where there are multiple dogs, there could be dogs barking or yowling. The dryers are also quite loud in my opinion. Wearing earplugs or headphones helps. You also get really bloody hot and youre constantly sweating.

Poor man’s soup. I know some people like soup but it’s more a starter not a main. You still need a proper meal especially after giving birth love.

Would be useful if you take the stuff out of the box and actually show us how the stuff looks like fully like the boots briefs

The whole thing about never being away from work… it just never ends. If it’s not grooming, it’s customers messaging, if they’re not messaging I’m trying to run ads and do better marketing, if it’s not that it’s trying to get good photos of the grooms to use for marketing, if it’s not that it’s diary juggling or ordering supplies. Then if it’s not any of those things it’s looking at the grooms you’ve done and picking them apart and feeling terrible 😅 I swear people think it’s just a hobby job and it’s not. Biting, cleaning up pee, 💩, shaving out matts alone is like a military task if they don’t stay still. Not to mention it’s back breaking 😂 I do enjoy my job but you’re right about it becoming your life. Even with family and friends, all we talk about it how’s business and trying to come up with new ideas or solutions. It’s quite literally consumed me.

Beautiful positive mumma 🤍 you’re doing loads, don’t feel like you have to share it all. Being selfish with your family time is allowed too. Mum life is pressure enough x
