I LOVE Kennedy! She' kind of the total package: She's cute in a geeky, cerebral way; intelligent? educated and articulate. Unlike, liberal/progressive women, she's guided by reason and logic, not emotion & "feelings." The reason most - especially young women - are drawn to liberalism is holding certain positions on issues, gives them emotional validation that they're a "good person" because they "care more." You can't question their politics based on results, but only their intentions. For most young female liberals the thought processes guiding their ideology can be summed up in 5 words: "I feel bad for them." The basis for their belief system is rooted in a false sense of compassion. And you can never reason with someone who came to their positions based on emotion. But it's fun to mess with their paradigm. Cognitive dissonance is a real. This, of course, is why many lefties want to shut down debate and silence the opposition. This is quite apparent on college campuses.
You failed to mention the 100% selfish aspect of Leftism, though. Sure --- a woman don't need no man to take care of her... as long as she has The Man to take care of her.
are you suggesting that only Ethiopian women can wear bohemian flowy dresses and a head scarf?? come on dude. it's only an issue if you make it an issue. otherwise it's just clothing. its harmless.
Oh man I hated this chick back then. I really thought she was another MTV Clinton fanatic and she was weird. Wish I'd known cuz she seems super cool and fun to hang out with.
Didn't know she was ever a Republican. She's impressive, has a backbone, doesn't apologize for being herself in a Sea of Leftist BS. Glad she ditched the turban. Her style now is fantastic. ( The fetishist, though not wanting to hurt anyone, comment was hilarious. Sharp as a tack, that one. )
6:55 -_- How does your foot taste, Nick? That was a pretty awful attempt at humor that quickly turned into just awkward ugliness if I ever saw. Yeesh. Good thing Kennedy was quick at defusing it.
So glad She's conservative today. 2012, ages ago. Back then 1990s she was my crush Enjoyed watch my alternative music in Alternative Nation! I'm just a few months older than her. Great American! Conservatives brought jobs back. Trump2020!
In the early-mid 90's, I was just a teenager who didn't pay that much attention to politics. But I had a crush on Kennedy when she was on MTV. I never even paid attention to MTV back then at being left or right. I never knew she was political at all until I saw here a while ago on Fox News Channel. This was an interesting thing to watch. She's still cool and hot 😉
Hmm: There are differences between libertarianism and Objectivism. Reading Ayn Rand would not turn you into a libertarian unless you'd also read Murray Rothbard and understood the difference.
I'm surprised she got narrow minded about atheist. She summarized them just as she just said that is what you shouldn't do. People get so touchy when religion gets questioned. Other than that great interview. I don't see how atheism is a religion, but I'll chalk it up as Kennedy just never actually thought about it. The concept itself is pretty simple.
@beigelycheenut I don't see myself as separating from others, I just enjoy when I find other likeminded people, since I'm usually an outcast among outcasts. I too find I have more in common w/ libertarians of all stripes than w/ statists.
Wow she still looks great, used to have a huge crush on Kennedy. This was very entertaining to watch. Ok ok... I still have a huge crush on Kennedy thanks to this video, but I am heartbroken that she is married. :P
I always liked Kennedy back in her MTV days (I was in my late teens at the time). I think it's cool that she's a libertarian now, but I'm disappointed that I can't also call her a fellow atheist. Oh well, she's still kinda cool.
@dubified89 Well I disagree, her arms do not bother me iota. We all have different tastes. If we want to nitpick, I don't like the turban. It is my opinion she is aging well, nothing deeper than that - just my superficial observation.
@The2dogknight Being an atheist srsly isn't really a big deal, dude... A lot of atheists need to get over it... especially the white, somewhat educated, middle class, heterosexual males which is basically the vast majority of the outspoken ones.
Heroine is "so yucky", as is LSD, Ecstasy and plenty of other drugs. Silly reason to turn Libertarian. Found this interview to be rather annoying, unfortunately (as someone who, generally, supports Kennedy).
@The2dogknight Honestly, in this whole movement, atheist libertarians should just seriously stop separating themselves from theist libertarians. In a libertarian society, their religion wouldn't really affect us that much. Unfortunately, the movement isn't united enough because so many "I'm smarter than you because I'm an atheist" types are alienating religious types. Honestly, I have more in common with a fundamentalist Christian libertarian like Ron Paul than a statheist like Sam Harris.

Embarrassing comment

Libertarian forums are so much fun to watch...people actually laughing and joking around.
The most fascinating aspect of this video, is the fact that Nick isn't wearing his jacket.
great interview, seriously we need more like this
she's awesome. I love her show. And she's hot.
She's built and dressed like a Greek goddess.
Kennedy has been and always will be the greatest VJ ever.
why is she cosplaying as an Ethiopian?
are you suggesting that only Ethiopian women can wear bohemian flowy dresses and a head scarf??
come on dude. it's only an issue if you make it an issue. otherwise it's just clothing. its harmless.
@@jenns.5791 I don't care if she wears it and wouldn't tell her not to, but I will wonder why.
Shes always been into odd fashion
Obviously its because she likes leather corsets, but does not like to hurt people. Duh.
Oh man I hated this chick back then. I really thought she was another MTV Clinton fanatic and she was weird. Wish I'd known cuz she seems super cool and fun to hang out with.
Same.

Good interview.
Kennedy is such a cool chick. Love her on The Independents. It would be cool if Nick had his own show on Fox
She was a VJ in the 90's...why is everybody in her crowd always so old? They were in their...fuck, I just realized that was over 20 years ago.

I always thought she was very left on MTV, Listening to her she sounded very left??? BUt she's right track now, Amen. Smart gal to.
can we see more questions?
"Kurt Loder gave me a copy of Ayn Rand's Objectivist epistomology."
Way too funny and good stuff dicussed.
Damn, Kennedy has gotten hotter with age. And, check out those guns!
@beigelycheenut I don't see myself as separating from others, I just enjoy when I find other likeminded people, since I'm usually an outcast among outcasts.
I too find I have more in common w/ libertarians of all stripes than w/ statists.
@Cleopas82 That mutualism and other forms of free-market anti-capitalism make way more sense than pro-capitalist right-libertaranism.
Her vile political views make her unbearable
Before we even get started (playing the video) I love Kennedy, this is going to be a great 1/2 hour.
Where's the Leather Jacket?!?!
and she wasn't that funny, lol, the guys or most at mtv all had pretty dull pathetic sense of humor to say the least.
Wow she still looks great, used to have a huge crush on Kennedy. This was very entertaining to watch. Ok ok... I still have a huge crush on Kennedy thanks to this video, but I am heartbroken that she is married. :P

Strike one sound guy, strike one.

Whoa! this chick is still alive?
@The2dogknight Being an atheist srsly isn't really a big deal, dude... A lot of atheists need to get over it... especially the white, somewhat educated, middle class, heterosexual males which is basically the vast majority of the outspoken ones.

I’m named after her!
Same thing "HighPower762" said!
blah blah blah, check out her muscle definition !!!
+juki1x 27:50 Celiac... gluten free... amazing what avoiding those healthywholegrains.can do.
+juki1x She looks like a chiseled marble statue of a Greek goddess come to life.
@juliaisafilmbuff123 That's….. um…… not a conclusion. That's a supposition that is not founded in your previous argument.
MJ should have wrecked it.She's hot.
nobody cares.
I can't imagine anybody caring.
I'm amazed that I saw this video title go by.
Has Kennedy been on P90X? She looks fit!
28:00 I like how the drums come in right after her statement like "buh dum chh"
@juliaisafilmbuff123 Oh my, what "logical" conclusion is that?
He sounded fantastic, but her mic was all quiet and had tons of feedback.
@johnrgraham101
Objectivism is A libertarianism just not THE libertarianism.
@johnrgraham101 It can lead to libertarianism. I know, I was a brain-dead liberal before I read Atlas Shrugged.
@TWSceptic this would be a reason.
@yojimbo81 If I remember correctly, Kurt Loader was a Libertarian as well.
@Vegemighty You wish!
Abolish psychiatric slavery. Libertarians should advocate for the abolishing of psychiatric slavery.
wasn't that interesting.

Yikes
