Way back in the 1990s, when I was younger, I had a few rides on the Fairbourne & Barmouth Light Railway. On one or two occasions, I was lucky enough to ride behind Russell in sunshine. The engine was on loan at the time. Thanks for bringing back this sort of railway memory for me.😂
In 9 days I saw 16 steam locos on 9 heritage railways plus 1 on the mainline. Considering most of what I had planned to see got cancelled by the heatwave I think I did pretty good.
@@williamfischer5336 I have one more video I'll post in a few days covering some steam I saw in England on my way to airport, that will bring the total number of steam locos featured on this channel up to 80. I'm getting closer to 100!
Russel is a little star - every time it ventures out on the WHR there is never any shortage of fans and photographers. Now that the engine and coach set have proven themselves on the 'main line', here's hoping we see this historic and beautifully restored lomomotive travelling out on it more often, perhaps with private charters. In the meantime runs on the short WHHR will have to suffice.
Look it's Fearless Freddie! Russell is a cute little steam engine! ❤❤❤❤

A nice little engine indeed, I'd love to see it puffing across Snowdonia myself someday,
