Awesome glad to see that you finally got your TKX. That shifter is not the stock TKX shifter it's SST's exclusive shifter for the TKX the big upgrade. SST is the only company currently making a after market shifter for the TKX that I believe reduces the throws 20% for shorter more direct shifts. Remember you will not have to find the gates that shifter does it for you especially the 2nd to 3rd shift, also the dex fluid is for the 500 mile break in then change it out for the synchro mesh
Does Silver Sport sales this shifter to the public? I like to have one for mine.

I think the fram oil is there for the break in to splash everything to the bottom

I like your choice on the gear ratio selection. Most people want that wide ratio for the better highway RPM. You won’t has as good of a highway gear but the car should rip WOT. Man, I’m excited for you on this one.

If you was wondering what Silver Sport STX stands for on the shifter, S is for Street, T is for Track, X is for Auto Cross. STX Street, Track, Autocross.
Looks like SST gave you their crappiest brand of clutch from Advanced Friction which sucks for street driving instead of the McLeod brand........
I melded the heavier pressure plate with a TKO500 disc and have the best of both worlds....

Probably getting rid of the inventory of there clutch products. I’m guessing you will only be able to get McLeod products from SST fairly soon. I think this because SST was bought or sold to Wharton Automotive Group and Paul Lee and they already own McLeod. I guess $$$ talks.

Thanks for quickly mentioning that stick T5s need a little slip on those clutch popouts, so not to break. I put a KingCobra in mine but I dont beat on it. PRO 5.0 shifter for 26 yrs 👍👍

She looks good, been eyeing this one up as a potential replacement for the built t5 route... I really would love to know what length drive shaft it takes boss, have a 45 1/2 center to center for my 1990 hatch with a t5 currently. Looking forward to see how you like it 🤘
Factory drive shaft just need a 31 spline yoke
@@BREW2LFOXBODY That sounds perfect, literally just installed a new strange cromoly drive shaft with a new built rearend at 45 1/2 for the t5....quick swap to a tkx sounds like it might be the move over an astro or gforce t5
One thing that would deter me from getting a tkx is not the best overdrive options

Its 99 pounds which is about 25 pounds heavier than a t-5
