What are your top 3 Yoshimitsu designs?

Yoshimitsu has always been my favorite character in both the Tekken and Soul Calibur franchises. Any time I get my hands on either game franchises, Yoshimitsu is always the first character I try out.

Yoshimitsu always have been changing his drip over the years. From Tekken to Soul Calibur, he never disappoints with each new drip.

Year after year, he buys new cosmetics; he got the taunts, he got the hats, he got the RGB sword, he got the masks, he got the flags, he's got it all!😂

Yoshimitsu, an icon of the constant redesign gimmick in fgs... together with Athena Asamiya. And both started in 94. Odd and interesting duo in this aspect.

    2:13-2:51
The last games in both Soul Series and Tekken where Yoshi had his little idle shimmy.
T1: Normal guy in a Oni mask
    T2: Gains an artificial hand
T3-Onward: "Okay. Nani the *HECK* even is this man?!"

    I *LOVE* Yoshimitsu in SFxTK.
On top of being a pretty fun character to use, being basically like a Samurai Shodown character what with him being on a SF engine but wielding a sword and with all his signature moves adapted pretty well, all his costume are *BANGERS*
You have his default, which is just his TK3 design, showing that even Capcom knows it's his best and most iconic one, then his badass alternate costume where he's a ghostly skeleton meant to be a reference to SoulCalibur and finally his M. Bison cosplay which just looks badass with the Shadaloo skull motif and the red dictator suit!

This is a case where a design-based evolution video feels good to follow with attention and interest to the end... unlike most cases of chars in SF, that sadly used to be a creatively crippled franchise (in design) until very recently. Many chars only got 2-3 different costumes in 35+ years of SF.
There are some nice cases of regular redesign in MK and SC. And KOF is pretty inconsistent... Some get new outfits and others never.

I'd still say Soul Calibur 3 P1 Outfit my personal favorite

Is the yoshimistu from Tekken a descendant of the one from the soul Calibur series or is just "fuck it put him in he has a sword."

    • @marlonmontelhiggins8570
      @marlonmontelhiggins8570 Месяц назад

Definitely the former, but it could be both. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Not a descendant. Yoshimitsu is title given to someone who killed the previous Yoshimitsu. There 2 Yoshi in Soul series, 1 Yoshi in Tekken series.

Still not as many redesigns as the Mortal Kombat characters. LOL
