Thank You Russ for the drone view at La Paz Fairgrounds... I might attend the RTR 2020... Or I might attend QuartzFest.... Both Start the same week...!
I called the AZ State Land Trust office and was told that uses for camping are limited to 14 days per year, with a $15 (single) $20 (family), this includes entry for hiking, picnicking, and other day use for one year from the date of purchase. I am looking for someone to verify entry dirt roads and conditions for two wheel vehicle travel. The rules for use state that existing roads can be used to access camping or other uses, no new roads can be made. Fire pits are allowed following the normal rules as required or all BLM uses. Give the office a call at 602-364-2753, follow the prompts until to get to a live person.
Bob Wells said in a video that they can only be on the fair grounds from morning till dusk. No camping allowed there. People have to commute back and forth from any near by camping areas they choose.
The AZ State Trust Land, consideration has not been confirmed as to it's two wheel drive vehicle capability. I think it is still the best option for camping close by, but I need a volunteer to check it out as that many of us who would otherwise be driving from far away (20 miles) could be closer, hopefully walking distance. The Trust Land exists for the public, but is it the best kept secret. Someone please step up and survey the entry points (unlocked gates or otherwise), road conditions for travel, space conditions, flat, rocky, sandy, dry or other. I am sure that most campers have driven through a wash to get to a high point for a camping spot.

Russ, can you survey the roads that lead to the various State Trust Land around the La Paz County Fairgrounds? I was in Walmart and Safeway last week with my white Roadtrek camper van and will be going to Parker Mail & Package Center tomorrow to pick up some packages (read where Quartzite Post Office has long lines in November!). Then I return to Hassler's RV Park. When it gets a little cooler (still in the 90's and 100's!), I will get a 7 month pass for a LTVA in Quartzite. Besides waiting for the heat to go down, I'm still waiting for the Quartzite LTVA's to raise their flags, showing the the government has delivered the 7 month permits to sell! I found cheap diesel at the Chevron on the corner of I-95 and I-10 (next to the ARCO). The ARCO is the same low price but they charge 35 cents for credit card use! Russ, I have a question: I have a 5X8 cargo trailer that I don't want to leave it in the LTVA when I drive into Quartzite sometimes or drive to Parker for my mail. Is there somewhere where I can store my cargo trailer for just a few hours in Quartzite? What do you do with your ATV? Do you ask some LTVA neighbors to watch it for you? P.S. I'm now just finding out that this whole thing is about some drone footage it's not worth it Russ you should just let go Man! I Really Like What Your Doing... I really enjoy your channel.
@@peteanderson1665 Here's my two-cents, for what it's worth: If it WAS Bob's people whom asked for the drone footage (that is how I understand it) and Bob went off not knowing the former did so, then how about Bob publicly apologize to Russ? Bob apparently had no qualms about publicly CRITICIZING Russ. A true (gentle)man would admit he were wrong. Again, just my two-cents worth, and we all know money doesn't go as far as it did in the old days.
Russ has a good reputation and he should not let anyone move him in this way... The better man lets its go and never drags it with him!
Russ why don’t you contact what’s his name and Bury the hatchet? You could be the man who covers the event for us. I know you have the personality to let it go but I’m not sure about him. Cheers!!!
It's up to Santa to apologize to Russ ... that's the only way to bury the hatchet. But Santa just doesn't care!
Telling your viewers to call the fairgrounds was a pretty dirty trick, drone guy.
