I have to chuckle whenever you announce that "traffic is heavy." It's all perspective: here in New York City, we would KILL to have your "heavy" traffic on a daily basis. Thanks for the ride, Russ, it was most relaxing. Stay well.
I spent my first 5 years of my life living at Parker Dam CA. My dad was a power plant operator at the dam. We lived at the government camp which is no longer. Just a bunch of wild burros. We watched the helicopters bring in the London Bridge piece by piece. There was only a few buildings at Havasu. Had the marina. We would put our boat in at Parker Dam and ski to Havasu. Amazing how big it is now compared to when we lived there. Thanks for sharing!
I love Cottonwood. Didn't realize it but I have some very distant family living there. Found out after an attempted family reunion that of course has been cancelled.
Absolutely love your videos. You are the unpaid spokesperson for Quartzsite and surrounding area. Hope to be there this winter and also hope to meet you.
Thank you for the road trips to see the blooms. We were going to come out the first of April, but since we are locked down in Kentucky, this is the next best thing!
Another blessed morning where we get to spend a little time with our friend Russ. You sir are the eye of the storm for many of us stuck at home staring at our RVs pining for things to get back to normal so we can hit the road and enjoy America again!!
Hi Russ! Really like the way you talk when necessary and let the scenery speak for itself! No BS, just facts as warranted. Keep up the GREAT work! Hope to be able to visit that section of the world next year! Take care and be safe out there.
I'm camping with my Ram Promaster just to the west of Parker across the river in CA at the moment. Great place for self isolating from the Corona virus. Parker is about 10 minutes drive away (has way better stores that Quartzsite by the way, although I like Q too) and beautiful views. Love it here.
I LOVE your drives thru town and between towns, out in the boondocks. Your narrative is very imformative about the entire region and your very easy to listen to. Always interesting and always informative. I hope to bring my Class A to Quartsite this year, and would very much enjoy meeting you. Thank you for your content.
At 1105 yesterday morning I passed you in parker. The beast is very easy to recognize with the modifications you made to here. I even say myself in the video. Lol. How fun.
You should of gone to the intersection where you turn left for gas. Terribles on the right(Chevron)turn Rt at light and then right into the back side of Terribles where if you pay cash it is much cheaper. Cheaper with debit or credit also.
Glad I didn't have that on the big TV. eeeew what did he eat that was yellow? Good thing it wasn't a cherry tree. Thanks for cleaning the wind shield. 👍 So not my job!
Sure wish I could be riding along!!! I’ll settle for next best thing these great videos you put out!!!! I love the southwest part of the country haven’t been able to go due to health issues but getting better little by little!!! In the meanwhile I thank you for what you are doing!!! Take care my friend!!!!
It would be helpful if you can show or mention what gas prices are as you go through towns. We watch your videos to get ideas of where to go, but part of our decisions on where we go is what gas prices are. We live your videos!
Is 95 pretty straight and smooth without much windy road? I've thought about turning off once I hit quartzite and heading due North to 40 then east to 89. Beats that winding climb up the side of the mountain to Prescott. 🤷♀️
Yesterday's video was crystal clear and very detailed but not so much with this video it appeared the focus was going in and out it could have been the windshield being a bit dirty or did you switch cameras today?
Riverview is closed as of March 1st. The Indian tribe that owns it sent out eviction notices in September. They said it cost too much to maintain. If Quartzite is closed, where can I purchase a 6 month camping permit?🐈
Hubs and I are Big fans of yours but this video cheese's us both off a little bit. The last thing we need is for people to hop in their RVs and treck across country spreading their germs at every gas pump and rest stop they hit. The quicker we all sit still, the quicker this shut down will be over. People are dieing out here over this thing.
I agree, need to lockdown, the more people move around the longer the virus will increase. This is not a time for leisure trips, no matter how frustrating that might feel. Stay home and save lives! It is a pandemic!
Beautiful blue sky!! Love when camera rolls & I can get a good view of the lay of land and mountains. Really pretty! You say stores packed there too? Must be human nature, like squirrels, we hoard in times of uncertainty. Same here in IL, all stores still devoid of TP.
BLM Long Term, is now closed for season. If you have long term pass, still good tell April 15th. The 14 days are still, available. After April, Long Term goes to Yearly Pass.
Nice Video. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering though, you talked a little about the winds, and during this video it was quite windy. What are most days like there between Lake Havasu and Quartzite? Generally windy? Most days, the wind is calmer? Just wanted to get a feel for how windy it is there in the desert? I was thinking of moving there somewhere along that stretch that you showed the Video, but I don't like windy days. A few are ok, but if most days are that windy, forget it.
By Kitty O'Meara And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal. And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.
Russ, as have echoed below, big fan of all you do, but these videos feel totally out of place in the middle of pandemic. The only time people should be travelling around is to get essential supplies, medical reasons or if they HAVE to be out doing essential work. Everyone else should just get their essential supplies and then stay home. You are an older person too and this virus is extremely nasty. Please take time out and start up again when this is over.
Agreed. I'd recommend you return to the van cave and make all the needed/wanted upgrades before you take off for the east coast. Now is not the time to be traveling.
I have to chuckle whenever you announce that "traffic is heavy." It's all perspective: here in New York City, we would KILL to have your "heavy" traffic on a daily basis. Thanks for the ride, Russ, it was most relaxing. Stay well.

I sopped by this town Quartzsite when I was driving on 10 from Phoenix to LA some 40 years ago. Thanks for sharing the video.
Cool cruise. That run from Havasu to Parker is a very pretty drive. Looked like a good day to get out. Thanks for taking us along. Safe travels.
We are in cottonwood till next week then back to quartzsite.
I love Cottonwood. Didn't realize it but I have some very distant family living there. Found out after an attempted family reunion that of course has been cancelled.
Made it back to quartzsite.
your road trip videos relieve my anxiety. thanks!
You sure are making me want to visit Arizona. Thank you for the tour.
Now's the time!
Absolutely love your videos. You are the unpaid spokesperson for Quartzsite and surrounding area. Hope to be there this winter and also hope to meet you.
Just before the Bill Williams area.... fantastic almost other-worldly rocks out there. Mountains? Just beautiful!! So peaceful.
I watch these videos more than once to take it all in.
Thank you for the road trips to see the blooms. We were going to come out the first of April, but since we are locked down in Kentucky, this is the next best thing!

Another nice day!
Could'nt belive it!! Gas in San Diego is cheaper than Quartzite. Today at Costco was $2.55 per gal.
Bob
I drove that stretch of road many times !!

Nothing like a scenic van ride to calm the soul
Very cool Russ!!

Amazing!!! Quartzsite in the winter heading to Happy Jack to store the RV for the weekends how sweet it is 😊
🙋♀️ Oh yeah, Have a really wonderful day Russ! I enjoyed seeing who was open still in Quartzite. Our gas was @ $1.73 gal. last Fri.
You bet I would like to ride along

Incredibly beautiful out there, roads seem kinda rough though, good vid Russ.
Great video
Are still doing your traveling. I hope so and be careful.

I'd Love to be in your neighborhood as we got 6 in. of snow here in Maine last hight.
Nice video!!!
Nice road trip

Love the videos Russ. One question,do you have a link for the air tabs you use? Would really like to try them on my 35 footer.
How is Bullhead city?
After burning a full tank of fuel are you seeing a 20+ mile to the tank gain with your airtabs? Or is it mostly for how it handles in wind?
.. look at that Sky, tho..💙☁️☀️
Be a gas having a lodge for rv travelers. Meet great people and have place for my shopping habit

Havasu has just reported a positive test for Coronavirus. Stay safe.
Russ seems to think the virus is just "a thing"
are you going to sweat a lot this year

Cobalt blue skies and business as usual. Don’t let your guard down too much Russ.
