    *Some things I observe*
    The Excavator looks to be in the range of 20-30ton Kobelco excavator, potentially SK180LC or SK260LC. Wide Bucket I estimate to be around 2m wide, with 1.5m3 per bucket general rule of thumb.
    *Quants*
    - In the video the Excavator loaded 34 buckets at around 1.5m3 per bucket minus 2% for wastage over the side of the truck = 50m3 rounded.
    - Generally the Excavator can load 33 buckets every 10 minutes or 49m3 rounded less wastage
    - Below based on 8 hour's productive, in a 9.5 hour day (minus lunch, pre-starts & general loss of time) & 5.5 days a week
    - Based on a constant provision of trucks & a months stockpile
    *Per day*
    - Move 2,352m3 per day
    *Per week*
    - 12,936m3 per week
    *Per month*
    - 51,744m3 per month (wont bother with yearly or quarterly because that is too big of a stockpile to be realistic)
    *Cost*
    - Based on NZD market rate of $220/hr which includes machine hire, oils and operator converted to Euro
    - Based on 250 liters diesel a day at local Ireland average of $1.25/ltr divided by 8 hours productive
    - Which means a total cost per hour of$169.37/hr (Euro)
    *Per day*
    - $1,610/day rounded
    *Per week*
    - $8,855/week
    *Per month*
    - $35,420/month
    Therefore it costs roughly $0.68 to move 1m3 of Peat from that bench into the trucks, not including the second Excavator feeding the stockpile.

      @@Jack--mu3gs Cat 953 lgp track loader feeding conveyors to surge bin and central loading facility is what I was envisioning. Or small portable conveyors fed by track loader. Seems a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on those super-lgp excavators with current set up.

  • @taylorjeffords1719
    @taylorjeffords1719 Год назад

    Not very efficient.
    Killing the drivers if they get paid by the load.
    Load from the back of the pile and track foward, reduces half of the 180 swing arc.
    Bigger bucket, less cycles.
    Excavator feeding the pile is worthless swinging 180 to drop a single bucket. Dont swing, hoe into the pile and keep pulling to the loadout. Better if replaced with a dozer to push down the windrows.

      With the added weight of the lgp tracks you don't need as much counter weight.

      @gustavthemagician 5 лет назад

      You might know it as turf. Dried-up plants from ancient swamps, mostly. It is sold in garden-centers as compost but when it is dry it is used as fuel in rural parts of Ireland in the form of compressed briquets. This load goes to a powerstation i think, probably Shannonbridge. Google turf fire Ireland and you'll see what i mean.
