Old silver age guy here. I wish I could just run out and get AF #15 and ASM #1. I looked and dug for those in the sixties as a kid and never found them. I have never seen one to this day, as I live in a rural area of Montana. I am going to Denver on vacation shortly, and planning on going to Mile High Comics too see these 2 books (and others) on display there. Maybe I will take a an extra $100,000 or so and buy them there! I would certainly have had the first stories of Spidey's major foes on your list, but I assume that you were trying to cover a wider range of periods of the history of the character.
I'm currently reading 252 through to 258, but I've got them as novels. Kinda glad in a way because I would not be reading the original comics if I had them. Bag board and lock away 😂
Personally, I agree. I don't like the race/gender swapping. I like though that they had had Miles as a separate reality and don't mind him as a separate character.
Its great you mentioned ASM #96-98 because it did lead to a loosening of the CCA in 1971. The US Department of Health, Education and Welfare actually requested that Marvel do a story about drug abuse which led to those issues going forward. I didn't know this until I looked it up, but the CCA officially dissolved about 10 years ago, and the very group set up to defend comics, The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, bought all the intellectual property of the code and seal!
@@ComicCollectorGeek I realised I'm only missing 2 issue's to complete the series! I'll try and complete it by the time they "HOPEFULLY make the movies. 👍
Absolutely it's worth holding on to. This is a great series! There was nothing ever like it before. The mystery of what happened to the heroes still thrills me to this day.
Nice list. One note for you would be that Secret Wars #8 actually came out a month or two after Amazing Spider-Man #258 not between ASM 252 and ASM 258.
@@thundergodd6086 I never said Secret Wars #1 didn’t come out before ASM 252. I said Secret Wars #8 came out a month or two after ASM 258, not ASM 252. He said in the video that Secret Wars 8 came out between 252 and 258. Secret Wars 1 and ASM 252 came out May 1984. ASM 258 was November 1984 and Secret Wars 8 came out December 1984.

All I need is the 1-16 Spider-Man McFarland run. That’s it
Wow I’m in awe of your collection! Thank you so much for sharing these! Awesome video!
Glad you like them!
Several years ago I had the opportunity to buy ASM #1 but didn't pull the trigger. It was on $2,000 and I often think about not buying it.
I had no idea that Journey into Mystery 73 was a prequel to Spider-Man. Thanks for sharing!

There can be only one! Peter Parker is Amazing Spider Man. Sorry I'm old school, no substitution for me.

I think i need 1-400. To me every asm is a key. I want all of them.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know when CCA officially dissolved.
I had no idea about that Journey Into Mystery book, and I've been collecting Spider-Man comics since 1990.
It is a very under the radar book
Great list. I shouted your channel out on my last upload.
Awesome thank you!
1st Mary Jane, 1st Gwen Stacy & Harry Osborne, 1st Punisher, Marriage of Peter & Mary Jane, 1st Cosmic Spidey, 1st Ned Leeds, etc.
These are all major keys too. I was debating about showing a few of them too.
Steve ditko created Spider-Man
Great topic, thx
I have the secret wars #8! It's in about a 7 or 6 grade. Is it worth holding on too?
There was an announcement of a Secret Wars movie, so if you want to get the most for it wait until a trailer drops for it before selling.

Not true. Secret Wars 1 came out right before Amazing Spider-man 252. It was several months after that Secret Wars 8 came out, not a month or two.

Yeah, I realized after I recorded I had the dates mixed up.
Doesn’t the green lantern SA run also deals with a drug issue? Might be remembering it wrong
It was a bronze green lantern. #85 where Speedy is on the cover using drugs (August 1971). Spiderman's drug issue was earlier (July 1971).
Best offer please
That Journey into Mystery # 73 doesn't have any relation with Spider Man so it don't count for me.
Many of the prototype comics are really very rough drafts of a potential character.
@@ComicCollectorGeek Okay, I agree with you in that.
Next time, if youre willing and able, state the approximate value of each. Thx
Yes, I should have done that. Nowadays the price seems to change daily.
Do you clean and press your own comics? If so, do a video. Please I mean.
No, but you would really like the channel ruclips.net/channel/UCvzDeSUkrxlpYpUyGXBhHsA He cleans and fixes restoration on comics.
