When I was a child in our farm, we had a couple or so avocado trees. I remember having sorbet made out of avocados. My mother would sometimes mash them (like how you made the avocado butter) and added milk and sugar mixed, stirred to a porridge consistency.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE avocados..not kidding, when I was about 4 years old, many many many moons ago, before you were born Mr. Oliver..My Mom caught me outside just eating avocados..about 4 of them...probably had avocado all over me!
Me too! I used to have a cable on TV to watch various channels on the cable. When it comes to watching TLC (Back in the days when there's many of my favorite cooking shows like Kitchen Boss, Cake Boss, Take Home Chef and I forgot what title of the cooking show that concepts fusion cooking), I do love watching Jamie Oliver too. I always wait for his shows like 30 minute meals or 15 minute meals. The last time is Jamie's Quick and Easy Food.
So, here in Australia the place that doesn't exist, we have an elixir known to only the down under, we call this masterpiece "Vegemite". If you wish to inhance your Vegemite on toast ADD AVOCADO. Best combination ever, make sure to put the avocado on first the add vegemite, this allows you to spread them together more evenly.
I like spreading a thin layer of peanut butter first, then add the smashed avocado (that has a bit of pickled liquid from olives) Then pickled eggplant, tomato and spinach. A glass of milk on the side completes this. Or, I'll make a savoury french toast first then do everything I normally do ontop of that. I like making the french toast a bit spicy, so the peanut butter helps smooth it out when you eat it.
eyes can eat first! loooks lovely, i find difficulties in finding good avacadoes, sometimes its black inside and tastes rotten. And some say we shd not consume raw toamtoes because of microbioms. but i like it raw too.
@@richardlittle4844 Yes, but people buying healthy Rye Bread, and it actually being available in local supermarkets, has only been for the past few years. People here mainly ate pappy white bread that sticks to the roof of yr mouth, and has no health benefits (some still do).
Annaliese O'Malley Rye used to mix with other grains. When was young in the 1970s each area town area and villages had their own bakeries. My father only ate whole meal bread, as did we. The village bakery where we got our bread, was very good. Things went downhill, when the big nation companies and then big supermarkets started selling the poor quality bread, which destroyed the traditional bakeries during the 1980s. It is great to see the return of artisan bakeries making good quality bread.
I love your recipes Jamie. I try not to miss any of your episodes on TV. What is most special is that you have recipes that all can cook. Ingredients are not over the top expensive and all are delicious
Here after rewatching Graham Stephan’s video about 90¢ avocado toast. Restaurants sell it for $12-15, I want to make a killer avo toast for maybe $3.50 since I’m fancy like that and like my health food. Maybe add an egg maybe and Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel seasoning. Add some paprika, parmesan, chili sauce, arugula or other veg or sprouts, cream cheese, crushed walnuts, and cherry tomatoes. Some good tips in this video, thanks.
This morning I tried to follow your advices. 1., I couldn't remove the seed with a knife. 2., I could not remove avocado with a spoon 3., I could not cut nice slices. I guess the avocado wasn't ripe enough yet. You could come for take a course in Budapest, you have a restaurant in the Castle. :))
Watching you on Create tv your food looks so damn good. I'ts how you treat your food. How you season it and throw it into the frying pan. Sticky lamb chops in one pan with carrots and orange peel etc. The slow motion editing of you squeezing the juice out of the orange right over the lamb and into the sizzling hot pan. I'm not a fan of lamb and I would devour that dish. Last night I watched you make the gnarly peanut chicken. I love food and I love to cook. Watching cooking shows is one of the things I do when I have some downtime and I have to say that your show is up there with the best of them. Your cooking show is the most appetizing to watch.
You are the greatest chefs that I love the most thank you Chef Jamie Oliver for sharing all your blessings to help us get into the talent of cooking.I wish next time you can do recipes like sweet and sour crab or salted egg shrimp or lobster linguini or any seafood recipes that can be asian or anything very excited to know what seafood menus you can bring to us.😊❤🤩💖💞🤩
Didn't have any rye bread on hand, so I had a glass of rye whiskey with my avocado. Made for an interesting morning at work.

It's great that the UK has, at last, discovered Rye. It's been a long time coming...
The Anglo Saxons brought rye with them, we have always had it in England.

Cottage cheese and beets, I thought I was the only one to do that. With some fine chopped red onion too.
I jumped on that. I have a glass jar of grated Beet in the cupboard 🤔
And banana slices. A great accompaniment for beets.
@@MrDamo34 Beets and Bananas? Are u sure 🤔
