  • Sevcik shifting studies are fantastic for violinists who are somewhat new to shifting and different position studies. Sevcik approaches gradually and systematically which is a perfect fit for many violinists.

This came at the perfect time. I was trying to see the best way to shift. I was trying to liken it to the piano shifting. Wouldn't you say the pattern being 123 shift 123 shift 123(4 if there were a 4th note to be played in your last shift? ) or do you prefer 12 shift 12 shift 123 (4)?
